Hey all... Miss Elizabeth Leigh decided to join us at 38 weeks on Friday. We just got to come home and we all need to catch up on sleep, so I'll have more of an in-depth update later, but here she is!
Team green report: It’s a boy! Our double rainbow Hans Steven was born Saturday, July 28 @ 1:45am. He was due August 12 but he’s a whopper—8 lbs 7 oz, 21.5 inches ❤️
Clare Lorraine, born at 8:59 pm on August 1 via c section at 39+4. Baby was 6 lb 9 oz, 18 3/4 inches long, with lots of dark hair like mommy. Our due date was 8/5, but at our 8/1 doc appt, mom’s blood pressure was too high. An ultrasound was ordered and we discovered baby was breech. So, we had 4 hours to settle our affairs and off to the hospital we went! Even though this was absolutely NOT our plan, all went well. I have a beautiful baby girl sleeping soundly in a bassinet next to me. Her daddy and I couldn’t be more thrilled!!!
Sadie Claire, born 8/6 at 2:57am was 8lbs 1oz. Such a sweet surprise after being team green! After hearing baby has hair, I knew it was a girl! Birth story to come....
Karlee Mae was born 8/10 @ 8:41am via planned c section at 39 weeks after failed inversion attempt at 37 weeks. She is 8lbs 11.5oz 20 inches. We found out during the c section the inversion failed because of a short cord and also that had I been able to have a vaginal birth I would have ended up in the OR due to the fact that my placenta would not detach itself, so while a c section was not exactly my plan of attack from the beginning we are greatful it happened anyhow.
River Mackenzie, born August 10th at 7:29pm. 6 lbs 11.8 ounces.
My water broke around 10:45 am August 10th while carrying my toddler aroundat home. I was 39 + 4 weeks along. The hospital wanted me to come in right away. I was having contractions, but they were random and mild. After a few hours of waiting for contractions to get more consistent, they started me on a small dose of pitocin. Contractions started to get stronger and more consistent right away, and so I got an epidural. Around 7pm the Dr checked and said I was 5cm dilated but she could stretch me out to 7cm. The epidural was working great but I was definitely feeling some strong contractions one right after another. At around 7:15 or so the baby's heartrate started to fall and the Dr checked again and asked if I was ready to start pushing. I pushed through two contractions, and River was born at 7:29pm. He had a huge, tight knot in his chord, and it was also wrapped around his neck, which were both causing his heartrate to decrease at the end there. They put him on my chest right away and he started to cry, and soon after nursed for two hours straight.
We are super happy to all be home, and DD is super excited to be a big sister! This was such a different experience (in a good way!) than my first labor. I feel so lucky everything went so fast and smooth for the most part!
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

Hi everyone, Micah Pearman Preston was born Aug. 15 @ 5:33pm weighing 6lbs 11oz posing with his oldest sister, who was such a big help in the delivery room along with my husband. She is heading to college for the first time on the 20th and I am bringing another baby home, only boy in a family of 4 girls. Love my little man!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I haven't been on the board in a while, but William was born 8-1-18 at 7:49pm. He was 8 pounds and 5 ounces, and 21 inches tall/long. The cord was wrapped around his neck, and he was a bit stunned, so he had to spend a little time in the NICU, but its healthy, and got to come home with us on schedule.
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
Baby Sebastian Alexander was born on August 4th, at 39+ weeks. Scheduled induction, epidural only numbed half of mommy, but he is all worth it. 8lbs 4oz, 21 1/4 inches of absolute love and perfection.
Baby Florence was finally born August 24th at 02.46 weighing 7.10lbs after making us wait 13 days past her due date and induction!
Unable to upload a photo at the moment as mobile bumping and the app won’t work, currently in a sleep deprived milky newborn haze and loving every moment of it.
I'm SO late posting but I've been over the moon spending time with my little one! Liam Jameson was born on Sunday, August 5th at 11:14am after 32 hours of hard labor! Born 8lbs4oz and 21 inches and we are so in love!
Nolan Allen was born 9/5 at 3:07am. I was 41 weeks exactly. He is huge - 8lbs 14oz and 22.25". Thank God for epidurals. He was 1.5lbs bigger than my previous biggest baby!
I’m so glad everyone posted these in here. Since I’m not on Facebook I really missed seeing all these announcements!
Lucy was born 8/25 at 6lbs 2oz, 19” long.
Labor was difficult - 18 hours (induction). Lucy didn’t handle it well and we were at our last point of intervention before a c-section. Her heart rate was consistently dropping to the 80s. They were getting ready to put fluid back into my uterus because they thought she was laying on her cord and it was causing her a lot of distress. I went from 5cm to 10 in 15 minutes. When she was born the doctors commented that her cord was very thin and that her placenta was “abnormally small”. My pregnancy overall was stressful and high risk so I’m glad I’m done after this one.
I was was so terrified of having a daughter. I cried for weeks and had severe depression. Then when she was born my heart felt like it broke at the sight of her because I was so in love. There’s something about her that loves me too - she’s the most calm and most content when I’m holding her. She falls asleep on me, smiles at me, and just in general is so content just to be with me. I’m so lucky to have her in my life.
A little late but; proudly presenting our baby girl:
