After kind of unexpectedly having to tell my supervisor yesterday that I’m pregnant before I would have preferred to (I’m a teacher so I haven’t seen him in a month) I decided to make the best of a bad situation and made it Facebook official!

@julienapper02 I wanted to do this, but DH really wanted a penguin thing -- our wedding had penguin elements, he proposed with a penguin, etc. We announced on Friday and have already received penguin themed gifts!
16 weeks yesterday, still haven't announced. A couple people I work with know... but I think we're just going to wait until we find out what we're having and then announce. In the meantime we'll just let people think I'm getting fat.
Bumping this because we just announced Friday after the A/S.
We had a friend make a cake with the coordinating color in the middle - Blue - we already knew but cut itnot it and let DD eat the cakes as part of the announcement. I posted like 10 pics but will spare you and only share a few here lol.
"It looks like our lives are about to get a little bit sweeter (and a whole lot busier)! We are so happy to announce we are adding a little BOY to our family in January. James, we love you so much already and I promise Lilah will eventually be just as excited as we are (as long as there’s cake).
Were finally planning to announce next week. We will be going on vacation and have some photo ideas planned to take while we’re there. I’ll make sure to come share here after we do! These are all so cute!!

I finally shared on Facebook! Posted a few pics of our cat sitting on my boobs staring at my belly as she does now and said "Eagerly awaiting the arrival of our baby girl, January 2019" People commented that our kitten looks especially eager.
Mostly it was a ruse to get my husband to agree to announce before September, since I used his beloved kitten.
We told family & close friends after the NIPT results came back in June but I wanted to wait until after our 20 week ultrasound to put it on Facebook.
I used this picture on our personal Facebook pages, we took it on vacation in June:
DH is running for a local political office this year so I used this picture on his political Facebook page with a 'campaign update' caption (thanks to @ladystout08 for the idea on the first page of this thread!)
We took our picture today while we were golfing. We’ll probably still try to take a nice picture of DH and I and post them together, but I’m pretty happy with how this turned out!
