I was told iron in the morning with orange juice then nothing to eat or drink for 30 minutes then to take my prenatal and baby aspirin at the end of the day...

I have been so bad at remembering my prenatal (with Iron) because I'm taking antibiotics every 12 hrs and I can't take calcium or Iron 2 hours after taking the antibiotics and 6 hrs BEFORE. So really that leaves me with a 4 hour window between and it's in the middle of the day and I forget. So annoying!

  • Is there anything I can do to control underboob sweat?

  • My dr didn't say anything about my red blood cell count being low, so I must be okay. I might just up my red meat, which I enjoy a lot right now anyway.

Deodorant, line you bra with tissues, go braless and hope for the best... that's all I can think of
  • Ugh re: the vitamin/supplement spacing.. I still have to get my iron supplement and work that into my daily routine after my results from last week, but I don’t know when to take the iron either!  I take my thyroid medicine first thing in the AM on an empty stomach, and then can’t eat for a while after. I’ve been taking my prenatal with iron in it already at night after dinner, with an extra omega 3 supplement since my prenatal doesn’t have that in it. Not sure if I can just tack my iron on at night with the others, or if that won’t be good for absorption?
  • @britvahok I've been using Gold Bond Ultimate Comfort Body Powder because it's talc free, seems to be the only thing that works and doesn't make me feel sticky. TMI but I've been putting it in all the "unders", underboob, underbelly, underbutt, LOL.

  • @nikimelon Thanks for the recommendation!!

  • @britvahok I know one of the belly band companies makes something washable that goes under your bra. It is $20 and on Amazon and buy buy baby. I keep forgetting to look at reviews and just buy the dang thing!
  • Omg anyone start thinking of baby announcements yet? I asked an old school friend for her address and she asked if she was getting an announcement. Never thought of them!! Are you doing them? Where are you getting them from? Are you getting envelopes now so they all be filed out and stamped so all you have to do is have dh stuff and mail ?
  • @SweetSweetTooth Haven’t thought about this yet but glad you brought it up! I will probably do something similar to the Walgreens Christmas card photo things we do every year. Those come with envelopes so we wouldn’t be able to fill them out before (or I guess you could save them for a different use, but then size?). What I will probably do is create labels for them with the addresses from people we want them sent to (luckily MIL said she just made a spreadsheet for us for the shower ones so I will just add the others that weren’t invited to this shower). That way we can just stuff the envelopes and print the labels after baby is born. I will probably wait for his newborn pictures to be done.

@SweetSweetTooth we made announcements for DD and DS but only ordered 10. We gave them to grandparents, great-grandparents, and used them in our kids’ shadowboxes (below). I think I have one in each of their baby books too.

(Yes I know the C in DS’s box is painfully small...I can’t find one that’s the same size as DD’s :D Mom of the year over here)

ETA: we ordered ours from Shutterfly/Tiny Prints

  • @SweetSweetTooth I will likely just do some from Snapfish or something. I am thinking about baby and dogs all in pumpkin costumes ('our pumpkin patch'), or I may just make the announcement our Christmas card this year. Just going to send them to close friends and people that came to the shower.
  • @mytrueloves @acciocoffee i love these hats for babies...https://www.rocknoxx.com/ More expensive than the multi-packs you can buy, but an option. otherwise if you have a sewing machine, old t-shirts make great simple baby hats. Just use the bottom hem and find a free online pattern (there are a bunch) and it is just two seams!

@SweetSweetTooth I was thinking about this the other day! I was thinking I could do my thank you cards from my shower with an announcement type information/ thank you for the gift.   We are planning on getting newborn shots. Since my shower is a month before due date. Would that work?
Otherwise I will do it as a Christmas card.

  • ^ sounds like what I would do.
As far as boob sweat... I go bra less any chance I get and just hope there’s never a zombie apocalypse or anything. If I had to run these girls would probably knock me out before the zombies ever had a chance. @sliztee I’m going to have to try the bust dust because I can’t stand deodorant under my boobs.
  • We sent out our announcements about a month after DS was born. I had a lot of the addresses compiled from the baby shower invite list, so that was no big deal, and I sent the announcements along with thank you cards from the shower. Making the announcements was easy - we had pics taken professionally when DS was a week old and just chose a couple of those and stuck them in a tinyprints template.
