WAYDTGKU: Flo app, eating healthy, HIO, limiting caffeine

R/R: Rave: AF is gone! BD shall begin tonight. I am going to do EOD since I have no real sense of when I O, but I don't want to wear us out. I use the Flo app, but I am worried that AF being shorter will throw everything off. Rant: My friggin' dog would not listen this morning. She use to follow me and come when I called her. Not for the past few days. She does not want to come and she took off on MH into the road. We are going to have to put her back on a leash. We don't live in a busy area, but if she isn't going to listen we can't risk it.

WAYDTGKU: BBT, Ava (RHR), OPK, Pre-Seed, Myo-Inositol (trying Pregnitude this time), HSG scheduled next week.

R/R: It's Wednesday! Half way there. This week hasn't necessarily been difficult, but I could just use the weekend.

    CS/Q: nope.

@meri-mac my yorkie, Tank, ran off into the road this weekend at my in-laws and a car was coming. It was terrifying for the 2 seconds until he turned around and came back. He's usually pretty good and we only take him out front there because he's afraid of my in-laws boxer puppy. But yay for end of AF! I haven't decided what we are going to do yet this cycle. I'm kind of enjoying the break from BDing that we've had. I may wait till after my HSG to even start BDing.

WAYDTGKU: HIO, temping/charting, OPKs, checking CM (question below re: CM)

R/R: Rant: Somehow all my alarms AND my husband's alarms got turned off so we woke up late.  On top of that, huge accident so I got stuck in traffic.  Tried avoid traffic and got stopped by a train. Rave: Despite the late wake-up, we still DTD

CS/Q: this is slightly icky, so I'll put it in spoilers.
I read in TCOYF to do kegals to get rid of extra semen before checking CM - does that seem to work? My CM seems more fertile than usual for what point in my cycle I am but we have been DTD EOD since late last week so I'm not sure what to trust, ha. Any other tips for differentiating?

  • @meri-mac I would love to keep my dog off leash but he is crazy. I've also reported my neighbors a number of times for their's not being leashed (though also in my yard, I would care if it were not for that...). Maybe a few days on leash will remind her to behave.

R/R: Today is looking to be beautiful weather wise. Hot but not humid. And I got all caught up at work yesterday so things should be a little more go with the flow today.

CS/Q: Breifly thought today was O day based on temp but RHR has not gone up and that always does. Tomorrow perhaps.

@meri-mac woohoo on AF leaving town - boo on the dog.  Our one dog cannot be off leash at ANY TIME.  It's a real PITA.
@prpl11butterfly weather is gorgeous here too today - I'm hoping by the time we all get out of work it's still as lovely.

R/R: My right ear was killing me last night, so I went to CareNow.  Apparently this was something I just couldn't kick on my own.  They said it wasn't an outer ear infection, but likely a Eustachian tube inflammation.  So they gave me a steroid shot and two prescriptions.  I feel SO much better this morning after that.

CS/Q: Pretty sure I am back over here now.  I think my temps really were elevated because I was sick.  I had some watery CM the past couple of days that I thought was just because I was taking Mucinex.  Then I woke up with sore nipples which is my usual O sign.  I took an OPK just because and it was super positive and the digital was peak.  My temp also dropped almost a whole degree.

@thrgirlwhowaited I know it is so terrifying. She is so headstrong lately. People keep calling her a teenager now. Oh lord; help us. We don't BD very often, just usually a few times in the FW closer to O. But I am so sick of being unsure that we agreed to HIO EOD this cycle. Unfortunately, I am having my first fertility appointment on August 1st so we won't know if our strategy worked until around August 12th. It may be a rough few weeks. I hope the weekend comes quickly for you.

@prpl11butterfly My dog, Ellie, tends to wander into other people's yards as well. We all know each other on our lane and noone has said they mind. She doesn't destroy anything; she just uses it as her own personal path :# I hope the leash works. We've worked so hard to train her to be off leash. I don't know why she is being such a PITA. I'm glad the weather is nice and that work isn't so stressful for you today! More time for crusing The Bump :D Fx for O.

@Sparty18 Woot for AF leaving town! The HIO can feel like a chore sometimes. I hope you get the Rave feeling back. Fx this is your month <3

@sparklingdiamond Sorry you are over here, friend <3
  • @meri-mac My dogs never listen to me ever lol.

@MRDCle Sorry for the rough start to the morning.  Hopefully your days gets better!

@Sparty18 Ha I probably would have done the same thing!

@nitnat007 I really need to get my hair done as well.  I always feel so much better afterwards. It's been months for me...

@marebear15 yeah unfortunately we typically HIO in the mornings so I guess I will just have the check at night? We'll see. I agree with your husband re: monkeys/circus, though I hope all goes well for the wedding.
    @crookshanks10 fx you O today!

  • @meri-mac  Good Luck and yay for AF leaving.
@MRDCle I hate when days start that way. I asked the same question last month and EWCM will ball and stretch and seman won’t
@sparklingdiamond I hope you continue to feel better.
@nitnat007  YAY for fresh hair. That always helps me feel so much better.
@marebear15  sorry things are so stressful I hope they chill soon.

  • @MRDCle our dog can't go off-leash either. He's fine when we're walking because he sticks to us like glue but if he got spooked, he'd run until his legs fell off. And he's a wuss so everything scares him.
    @meri-mac good riddance, AF!
@thrgirlwhowaited I love that your yorkie's name is Tank. Does his name have anything to do with the show Life in Pieces? We had to stop watching it last season when the storyline included TTC & IF. Too many triggers.
@sparty18 this isn't just a question for you but your comment made me think of it... for those who don't have a physical HIO schedule, how do you bring it up with YH? Like so far it's worked for us that I just initiate and he plays along. Still attempting to keep the romance alive and I just can't think of any smooth way of saying "I've stopped bleeding so let's get it on" without bringing up the words "make a baby" so he doesn't get performance anxiety lol.
@sparklingdiamond sorry to see you back here, but glad you got some treatment for your ear infection. I hope that helps and you're on the mend now.
@nitnat007 yay for haircuts! and from yesterday's thread, paint is so expensive, especially for the good stuff. And it's so hard to judge how much you'll need. We ended up with way too much of one colour and not nearly enough of another.
@marebear15 YH is right, although letting things go is always easier said than done. I hope you can find some time to de-stress soon before things get even crazier as you get closer to the actual wedding.

  • @abundantlilacs FX you O early so you can get your BD in before you leave and hopefully be able to enjoy the trip a little more without that hanging over your head.
@crookshanks10 I don't think there is a whole lot off limits when it comes to TTC, lol. My SO thinks it's weird that I so openly talk about our sex life with a bunch of women I don't know, but I guess it's hard for him to understand that the beautiful thing about this community is that we don't feel like complete strangers. We know intimate details about each others' lives and the TTC support I've received on here is more than I could ask of any of my friends who aren't in the same places in their lives. 3:45a BD is some serious commitment. WTG!
@kindbytealikat *waves* I feel the same way today.

R/R: I felt so energetic yesterday after we got everything moved on the weekend. Today I feel like I was hit by a truck. Counting down the minutes til I can go home.

CS/Q: I fell asleep twice trying to temp this morning so I ended up doing it 3 times because I couldn't remember if I actually turned on the thermo before I inserted it. Pretty sure the 3rd time that I recorded is higher as a result. My RHR seems to be a good indicator for wonky BBT.

@general_organa - it would depend on the cut of the dress and the material - is there a belt or waistline right where you would begin to show? Is it stretchy or super fitted?

  • @general_organa Easy@Home tests have been recommended by @nitnat007. If my plan for this month doesn't work, I will look into those too. Fx for your timing!
  • @MRDCle it's this dress. The straps are adjustable so I can make the waist right up above where the bump would be. The skirt is quite ample. I'm MOH and I had a huge hand in choosing/pushing my bride to pick this dress lol. Pic of dress in different color also in spoiler below.

@general_organa ooooh I LOVE that.  I think a medium would be fine honestly, as long as you don't think that if you move the waistline up that you won't be too exposed up top - 3 months along could be a big difference in bust!

  • @meri-mac I also use Easy@Home OPK and HPTs. They're basically wondfos as far as I can tell, but us Canadians have more limited selections on amazon.ca. I have the Easy@Home basal thermometer too which I'm liking a lot better than the mabis that I returned.

  • @meri-mac – Byebye AF! Let the BD commence! Also, sorry your dog is being a butthole. Mine likes to also go through random periods of pretending she can’t hear us.

@thrgirlwhowaited – Nothing wrong with a BD break! I think it helps to shake things off when the TTC stuff feels too hard.

@MRDCle – Way to stay committed! Also, re: CM, I haven’t tried the trick of the kegels to get rid of “extra” but I find that after about 12 hours, I can trust what I check. Also, EWCM will hold up in water whereas the “extra” will dissolve.

@prpl11butterfly – Enjoy the beautiful weather today! It’s gorgeous here! I’m so new to hearing about this RHR stuff, it’s so interesting!

@sparty18 – Not many things are as fun and as much of a hassle at the same time as BD marathons!

@sparklingdiamond – Pretty sure today or tomorrow will be O for you!

@nitnat007 – New pretty hair always puts me in the best mood!

@marebear15 – Wedding are SO stressful, even when they’re not yours!! Just keep repeating that motto!

@abdundantlilacs – I hate when plans throw off BD plans. I hope you make it work anyway!

@crookshanks10 – That is DEDICATION! Holy moly! I hope your efforts are rewarded!

@kiki047 - I have fallen asleep so many times while temping. I’m glad you have another data point with the RHR!

@chichiphin – I’m curious about what your dr. said about your concerns about your 9 day LP?

@general_organa – I would order the medium, also it’s beautiful!

    WAYDTGKU: All. The. Things.

R/R: I think O day for me will be either tonight or tomorrow. Just gotta BD a few more times and I'll feel like we did all we could do.

CS/Q: My wondfo OPKs never get SUPER positive. They get mostly as dark as the control line but not darker. But I still O...Anyone else have that happen?
  • @general_organa I say medium too. If you're KU you can always drape a pretty wrap around yourself and invest in some spanx to hide the bloat. At 3 months there shouldn't be much of a belly, but everyone is different.
  • @general_organa Medium, hands down.  Gorgeous dress!
  • Thanks @kiki047 ! I shall look into it :)
  • @crookshanks10 You can do it! I know you can! Because my dog was a butthole (as @literatureandink put it :D ), I didn't get my morning coffee. I only had tea when I got to work. I definitely am feeling the crave so I am just putting water away. Keep going strong!
  • @crookshanks10 Props to you for getting a HIO in so early. Holy cow, how were you awake, much less turned on?
@MRDCle You could just wait until your more dried up. And do the smell/balled up tests.
@kiki047 I normally just initiate by seducing, or saying something simply like, wanna do it tonight? Most of the time, he's the one that initiates anyways.
@general_organa I'd return the L and get the M while you still can. Like you said, you'd only be 3 months along and that's not a lot of body changes.
@literatureandink Do you test twice a day? Some people can get 12 hour LH surges, so maybe you are just missing yours?

  • @sparklingdiamond I waited over three months for this one and you could tell lol. It was time for sure. Always such a good feeling when you finally get that cut though.
@marebear15 FX that the stress doesn't delay O for you.
@crookshanks10 HAha good for you guys!
@kiki047 Hope the time passes quickly for you.
@chichiphin Good news! Glad you were happy with your doctor.
@general_organa I agree with the other ladies, go with the medium. It is a gorgeous dress!
  • kiki047 no, he was just the biggest of his litter. He's about 17lbs right now, a little on the chunky side.

chichiphin at least she engaged your concerns and you feel you got something out of the appointment.

general_organa I'd exchange for what fits you now. Even if you are 3 months you may not be showing that much for it to change how the dress fits drastically enough to need the large. Especially with how flowy it is.

literatureandink I'm almost considering taking this month off, but everyone keeps saying that after the HSG is a good time/cycle to try. So we may a little, but I think I need a step back from over analyzing when we should BD. I use the same OPKs and sometimes mine are as dark and sometimes not quite. I just chalk it up to my timing of when I take it compared to when the surge is happening. I count almost as dark as close enough and then confirm with getting a negative the next day.

crookshanks10 I'm with you! I need a three day weekend regularly!  Also, I know your caffeine struggles. I went from multiple cups a day to 1 a week! I sleep better now though so there's that. My one per week is my little treat to myself. I do allow myself to have iced tea during the day though. I think what made it easy for me was that I put sugar in my coffee so I told myself I can't have the sugar and I don't want black coffee. I can manage tea without sugar. Good luck!
  • @crookshanks10 ha ha yeah let’s hope I can keep it up, I don’t generally O until D19, that’s Tuesday next week.

@general_organa I agree with doing the medium

  • @literatureandink she said that women get preg with a 9 day LP all the time, and that in her opinion, it won't change with vitex (most likely). She did say though if I'm at month 7 or 8 and I have had a positive test and then start my period, or I can't turn a test at all by month 8, she'll prescribe meds to keep my LP longer before the 1 year mark. She said that even though my IUD was out in early May, I'm 100% back to the LP that is natural to me... which was surprising as well!
