@hannaht8516 whenever I bring baked goods to my office, I always wait till at least like 10-11:00 to put them out so that people don’t have that dilemma! I say go for it now though, before they’re all gone!!
I have been craving Laffy Taffy like crazy the past couple days. I never buy them because I hate the banana ones and feel like the bag is full of bananas. I broke down and bought some today. So who wants my left over banana Laffy Taffy??
we have tons of rhubarb and i have been eating rhubarb everything. i even had rhubarb sauce on toast for breakfast (the same sauce we had over ice cream for dessert last night). yum.
I want some good tacos al pastor. The kind that’s actually grilled on a vertical spit. With lots of pineapple, onions, cilantro, and lime. And really hot green sauce. Side of cucumbers. But nobody in CO makes them right!! This kid is all up in my stomach today though so I eat 2 bites and feel disgustingly full. Like throwing up full on top of glorious heartburn.
Made a good-ish decision today. We arrived at Costco and I was hungry. At the “cafe” the sausage with peppers was eyeing me. I was set to go and decided last minute to do the açaí bowl that has fresh strawberries, blueberries, and granola. Granted it seemed like the açaí was some sort of frozen yogurt/sorbet type thing so I’m sure it was sugar packed, but it seems like the healthier choice and it was delicious. And now I still want an Italian sausage with peppers and onions.

Exactly my husband's craving!! LOL We're down in Houston so we did get some this weekend. They were good but definitely not my craving - all DH!!
TW* Please don’t read if you are grossed out by meat! Steak. Pink, juicy, salty ribeye. I ate it with my hands and it was so amazing. Yes we’re at home. I don’t usually eat with my hands in public.
Lol @jynjer91 I love you ate it with your hands! I have picked up a steak bone to chew the hard to get meat off (at home as well)! Holy hungry today!!! Eating every hour and a half and pretty good quantities too! Haven't had it like this before. Will be interesting to see if it continues this week!
@jynjer91 that sounds delicious!! When I was younger and we had steak I wouldn't even bother with silverware! Just grab that and naw on it like a dog! I've done it in front of DH a few times and the first time idk if he was horrified or mesmerized lol
So I made cupcakes on Monday because I took the day off, and well, I'm pregnant and wanted carrot cake cupcakes with creamcheese frosting. My glucose test is next Monday, so hopefully I don't screw up the results by eating too much sugar beforehand! But the cupcake itself is paleo, so it's totally healthy....
I went to Costco last weekend and got some stuff so I could try to be more nutritious, but it all ended up being fruit. So much sugar. I just can’t get myself to eat more veggies.
@rabtaido1214 IKR? Give me all the fruit (especially if it’s blueberry coffee cake lol) but the thought of a raw carrot? I would make a very shitty rabbit.
Does anyone else feel like they are failing at being pregnant because they are not craving pickles and/or ice cream?
I mean- I am eating ice cream at basically the same rate as pre-pregnancy (once every week or two), and I have eaten more pickles the last eight weeks than the last year (so- going from none to 1-2 a week). But I feel like I might lose my P-card for this.
ETA: Are Not Craving... I miss that “Not” too often...
@knottieamusements I am eating ice cream slightly more frequently, and I am not eating pickles, but am eating sauerkraut on salads at a much greater frequency than normal. But together? blegh. sounds disgusting.
@knottieamusements I'm with you. I really don't have any real "cravings". I will be in the mood for stuff, but I've really always been that way. I didn't like pickles pre-pregnancy and can't stand them now.
MH is upset and calls me a boring pregnant lady because he thought this was a free pass to eat ice cream everyday, and while I've had some, it's maybe once a week? Literally, when the pregnancy test said "pregnant" the first words out of his mouth were "Yes! Sundaes!".
I've eaten less pickles since becoming pregnant!! I love pickles I just haven't had the itch for them in a while.. beside chocolate milk which is just a want not need i haven't really craved anything either... DH surprises me with chocolate milk and other candies frequently enough to where I don't feel like I need to have any in this moment.
@mamabearcj - I’m onboard for chocolate milk- but that was also a prepregnancy thing.
My worry about coming up positive for GD (3hr test is tomorrow) is that as soon as I can’t eat whatever I want, I will want to eat all the things I’m not supposed to.
Like right now- I will totally have a chocolate milk. But I’m not craving it, I’m not focused on getting it, and if it doesn’t happen for a few days because life is busy, whatever. But if you tell me I can’t have it for 12 weeks? I might suddenly be like “I WANT IT NOW!!! ALL OF IT!!!”
@sammierose464 the same thing is going through my mind right now, as I think about the cupcakes in the fridge. I feel like SUNDAY I need to worry about my carb intake before my Monday GTT, i'll be fine today....
I'm making amazing chocolate chip cookies right now. This is probably the 5th batch of cc cookies I've made this month. I probably should have put that in FFFC..
