Still so tired. Still not sleeping. And the acne...ugh. But so grateful that's all I have to complain about. I don't know how some of you ladies can even function. @kayjay44 I'm thinking of you.
Anyone else dread every single day? I’m struggling to cope with the coming work week when I spend all weekend in bed (as much as possible with toddler and dad on duty). The idea of showing face yet another week when I’m secretly dying inside is totally getting me down I forgot how DEPRESSING this first trimester is. Please tell me how you’re coping with the idea that there are still weeks ahead to trudge through. I want to crawl into a hole for the next four weeks, not be a professional. Waaaahhhhh. This is bullshit. One day at a time, my ass.
My sleep is terrible. 3 hours a night and then I’m up and down for the rest. The nausea is finally decreasing (at least during the day. Night time still feels gross). Hoping that since I’m nearing the end of the first things will slowly start to get better.
@ssag - I feel this so hard. I’m just praying it does get better in second tri - we’ve got a vacation planned at 16 weeks, and I don’t want to ruin the trip.
Not too bad right now. Still gagging all day long, insomnia is still unpleasant. Still have some pretty intense food aversions. I had this weird shooting pain during church this morning that freaked me out and now I have this pulling sensation from my belly button.
@ssag I’m off for the summer, but I do dread when my husband goes to work. DS just has so much energy right now but is also so opinionated. I think the terrible twos are coming early with him. Some days I don’t know how I’ll muster the energy to handle him, but I think you just kind of make it happen.
Night sweats, insomnia, boobs are so sore, can't poop, terrible acne, stabbing pain in my womb when I sneeze, and all of a sudden Zyrtec completely stopped working for my allergies. Nausea and food aversions are fading I think, so that's a positive. We leave for vacation Saturday, so at least I think I'll be able to eat all of the good foods.
@BourbonBiscuits the one advantage of going to work is that I don’t have to chase my son all day. He’s so busy, sounds a lot like yours. I have about 2.5hrs every morning between my husband leaving and me going to work when I’m solo with him and it wears me out before my day even starts.
@kayjay44 counting the minutes till 2nd trimester. I know there’s an oasis there somewhere. I don’t think I felt “phenomenal” at 16wks but definitely like I could live a normal human life. Something to look forward to!
@ssag - I’m at least not as tired as I was the second time (yet)! FX it’s like my first pregnancy and the exhaustion isn’t so bad until the end (and the nausea goes away around 12 weeks).
Goddamn I feel like that flight the other day flipped a switch, I am nauseous all. the. time. Hoping most of it is enhanced by jet lag and that it'll go away soon. Dreading work tomorrow.

@grebretso - are you taking anything? I’d get as much rest as you can today and hopefully you can at least sit at work? Being too active always makes mine worse.
@kayjay44 not taking anything at this point. Until two days ago I only had pretty mild nausea so I'm hoping it's just a random bout connected to traveling. If it stays the same/gets worse I'll mention it at my appt on Thursday. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow morning, I have a lot of catching up to do from being away for two weeks, on top of being in charge of two meetings first thing in the morning. Yikes! Getting all the hard stuff out of the way fast at least.

Taking unisom at night definitely helps me for at least a bit the next day (which is why my nausea/sickness gets worse as the day progresses). Highly recommend. It might help with some of the jet lag too. Tart cherry juice before bed can also help with jet lag and is totally safe.
Well the nausea has steadily increased over the last week. I am always a little bit nauseous and the intensity varies. It goes away for about 20 minutes when I eat and then comes back full force. I also feel like I spend a lot of the day tired and then I can’t go to sleep at night. I haven’t dealt with that issue for a long time.
Morning sickness hit me with her bitch hammer. Cant even go outside in the heat or I start gagging. 7 weeks tomorrow! Found coke zero and Gatorade are my best friends. We are supposed to go on our canoe trip next week, where we canoe and camp for a week straight. I am so nervous I'm going to be sick thee entire time. Yikes.
A new one for me in the last week or so. I've been getting carpal tunnel-ish wrists, sometimes one, sometimes both, pretty regularly. I thought I was just having a worse than usual flare up of my pre-existing arthritis, but now that I've googled it, carpal tunnel is sometimes a pregnancy side-effect due to fluid retention so this might be hanging around?? Time will tell.

I had some CP flare ups w/ my first pregnancy and ended up wearing braces to bed. The good news is that it cleared up the minute my daughter was born.
Sore boobs that feel gigantic, nausea when I haven’t eaten, insomnia!!! It is so early for this insomnia to start! I’m also a stomach sleeper and I’m finding it uncomfortable already at ten weeks.
I, too, have an opinionated 2.5 son who just bossed me to “get milk!!!”

Same as @okayestmom12. Except after my second, it never fully went away.
With the start of this pregnancy, it’s alreadt gotten worse and, I’ve started wearing the braces to bed again.
I can't cope with the exhaustion..to the point where I don't know how I'm going to make it through the work day. My brain is also just not functioning properly..I can't concentrate on anything or remember what I'm doing. Yesterday I cried because I was SO tired. It's really hard when you already have 2 kids.

I literally loose my train of thought, mid sentence. It’s borderline embarrassing.
Work is so hard! I feel like my brain is failing me. My job can be very tedious at times and it just does me in. I wish I could curl up under my desk and nap.
So. Tired. So tired. My kids watch 27 hours of tv a day. I’m so grouchy and I hope they aren’t emotionally scarred by this pregnancy. I also have a weird cough/sore throat that I have no time for. So I’m ignoring it.
For dinner last my dd had a boiled egg, cheese, and strawberries. I was pretty impressed that I nailed every food group. The night before that was chips and salsa with yogurt and grapes. Im pretty much nailing it! Havent even thought about feeding my husband for two weeks, though... oops!
Still pretty nauseous but its gotten better. Theres a few things I can eat but still adversions to pretty much all food. I miss food. I dream if food. I just want meat. Some ribs.. a steak.. chicken even. Oh man what id give for my homemade sloppy joe grilled cheese. Or sloppy joe nachos. And so exhausted. My parents watch my daughter a few days a week while I go to work but they are away so I’ve been running after her for over a week now and its getting to be a lot. Its been so hot too which doesnt help.
First day back to work after vacay went surprisingly well! As soon as HB picked me up from work and we went grocery shopping though, hooo boy. Almost puked in the cereal isle. And again after eating dinner. Glad I was able to keep it together, but tsill feeling pretty awful. At least the nausea is good for my PGAL brain.

@lifeislove87 that's tough! I work with doctors, and will be face to face with most of them next week. I'm really nervous someone is going to ask some kind of prying question.
Is, uh, diarrhea a common symptom? I'm finding myself jealous of you all with the opposite problem, not having to rush to the bathroom or getting woken up at 1am to go...

Hence why my kids are eating a lot of cereal because I know they won't fight and it doesn't require cooking.
