Re: Symptoms (w/o 7/8-7-14)

  • Is, uh, diarrhea a common symptom?  :/   I'm finding myself jealous of you all with the opposite problem, not having to rush to the bathroom or getting woken up at 1am to go...
Yup. Had it bad with my first too. This one hasn’t been so awful ... yet.

  • @mominthemakin you are the lucky one, trust me. I still get up in the middle of the night to pee, wishing I could poop too.
Agreed. Try not pooping for a week. Finally did after lots of intervention and my intestines still hurt. Pretty sure I already have a fissure.

  • I’m right with you ladies with the exhaustion and nausea. I threw up this morning for no reason at all. Nothing was in my stomach so it was just disgusting bile. I feel like I’ve been on the lucky side with the symptoms because it truly is morning sickness. By the afternoon I can eat what I please. Still, I’m ready for the 2nd trimester “glow”.

Any one else dealing with skin issues? I seem to have developed dyshidrotic eczema. Itchy little bastard bumps on my fingers.

I always have skin issues and they get worse when pregnant.

@madreofdragons I usually have mild acne when not pregnant, but for a couple weeks there it was getting out of control. Plus backne, so gross. It’s clearing up now, thank goodness. No eczema or anything like that though.

  • @mominthemakin I can’t stop the poops and I didn’t have this with my DS!

@madreofdragons like @kayjay44 said I always have skin issues and they are always worse in pregnancy.  My psoriasis is FLAMED

  • My skin is terrible too. It was so nice when I was pregnant with DD. I don’t like wearing much make up but feel like I have to in order to look presentable now. Nothing seems to be working to clear it either.

The nausea is back which sucks. It was tapering off but today it’s been hitting in intense waves. Uggggghhhh.
  • I’ll add another to the exhausted club. It’s so hard to make it through each day. I just want to cry from exhaustion. I woke up at 4am and couldn’t fall back asleep so that was awesome.

I feel disgusting. I get nauseous. I want to eat but can only handle a few bites at a time and then I feel gross for hours. My stomach feels massive and gross. Basically I feel like a hot mess overall and I really dislike pregnancy

  • Nausea has been a bitch today. Normally goes away if I feed the spawn. Not the case today. Bleh.

I can't cope with the exhaustion..to the point where I don't know how I'm going to make it through the work day.  My brain is also just not functioning properly..I can't concentrate on anything or remember what I'm doing.
Yesterday I cried because I was SO tired.  It's really hard when you already have 2 kids.
@Erinm278 I completely sympathize. I was so tired at work today I went into the bathroom and sat on the toilet just to close my eyes for  few minutes.
My almost 1y/o, still gets up to eat in the middle of the night and my 2y/o gets up and comes into our bed in the middle of the night so I get shitty sleep all around  :( I get home from work and can’t do anything but sit on the couch, I’m so exhausted.

I've only been back at work for two days, bot but both days I've been fine while at work, and then nausea hits as soon as I get home. While I'm really glad I'm not puking at work, I wish I'd be able to catch a break and relax at home... I was looking forward to making a salad (need something healthy after pizza for lunch) and binge watching Netflix, but eating anything sounds gross and watching tv makes me even more nauseous, so instead I'm just going to sit on the couch, close my eyes and feel sorry for myself. Ugh.

  • @danixbanani24 - my psoriasis too. It usually gets better with pregnancy for me, too. Not this time.

  • I feel like I’ve been pooping constantly! My nausea isn’t as bad today and I’m grateful. Yesterday was hard.
  • Had the most awful vivid disgusting MC dream this morning which has thrown me off completely. Goddam brain sabotaging me.
  • etnyahetnyah member
Ugh I'm sorry @lokibear89. I can't even remember a night without a vivid dream lately, but none of them have been about having a MC. That sounds awful! Why do our brains suck so much sometimes? Hope you're able to calm down throughout the day.

  • @grebretso thanks the cookie I am munching away on right now is helping lol
  • So once I hit 7 weeks I developed morning sickness,  Saturday morning  and then last night it was 1 am.  Charting unfamiliar territory here, i didn’t have any last pregnancy.
  • @lokibear89 - I mostly hate the vivid dreams. Many of them involved ex’s for some reason. But then there are good ones where I orgasm in my sleep, so, that’s pretty great.

  • Sorry, @lokibear89, that sounds so distressing.

I just chugged Miralax. And now we wait.

@kayjay44 Lol I was totally humping my husband in my sleep the other night. He thought it was hilarious.

  • My nipples are chapped, the pain in my breasts wakes me up at night. The Restless leg syndrome is so bad, I can't fall asleep for hours . The last two days have felt like I had a stomach bug more than they've felt like pregnancy. I'm EXHAUSTED . I'm lucky to have a partner who is so understanding and supportive. I feel so bad about getting zero housework done for the last few days and he just wants me to feel better. I couldn't dream up a better person to go through this with.. but I am miserable. When does this go away?
  • @bleucheeznwine that was me with the milk of magnesia this evening. It’s like giving a baby prunes. Happily awaiting a disaster :joy:
  • @meganftm89 Depends. A good most of us feel better second tri, less will have it until 20 some weeks, even less feel like crap the whole way.
  • Anyone else starting to feel can’t get out of bed depressed? I feel like I have a weight on my chest.
  • @meganftm89 - for some symptoms , end of first tri. Others, birth. Try taking magnesium for the RLS - I get it horribly when pregnant.

I thought cutting down on caffeine would be really hard, and I phsyched myself up to only have one cup of coffee a day, but lately coffee has been an aversion. I poured myself a cup this morning, had one sip and couldn’t have more. Blessing in disguise?

  • @conchispita I felt that way last week. I couldn't get up from the couch and just felt so depressed and overwhelmed. I don't remember feeling that way with my first, but this pregnancy is a complete 180 from my first in all aspects. Thinking of you - tomorrow is a new day.

Coffee is giving me the Gags too now.  Sometimes I can manage an iced coffee but not often

  • @grebretso - I'm a black coffee drinker - I can't touch it when I'm pregnant. It tastes terrible. I can manage an iced coffee with milk (like an iced latte) once my aversions ease up.

@kayjay44 Yup, black coffee for me too. I’ve had one cup a day no problem so far, but today I just couldn’t stomach it. Just the thought of it makes me gag. So strange.

  • @conchispita I’m struggling with the same thing. Yesterday I didn’t leave the house all day. Today I’m struggling not to do the same thing again. I’m honestly not sure how much of my depression is hormonal, and how much of it comes from me feeling like a worthless lump due to feeling too sick to get much done lately. But either way, it’s certainly caused by this pregnancy. Hang in there. You’re not alone.
  • @grebretso aversions are so strange. I was basically living off of string cheese snacks up until two weeks ago. I was fine one bite and the next took everything I had to swallow it. Haven't gone near one since.
At least you were already down to one a day so it shouldn't cause too many withdrawal symptoms!  :D
  • @conchispita - I felt that way today. I'm working on getting a prenatal psych appointment in to switch meds because it sucks.

@grebretso - at least for me, it goes away after birth and I can drink regular, black coffee again. I typically ease into it and I'm back to my normal amount by the time I head back to work. Also, I normally order Pagliacci's on Fridays and I'm debating ordering it today instead because I would kill for a parma primo right now.

@becks_726 Ha, yeah cutting down initially was hard! No withdrawal symptoms so far today though, so I think I’m good.

@kayjay44 Oooh that sounds delicious. How about ordering today AND Friday? Treat yo self!
