24 +4 ... a little fatigue is creeping back in, but otherwise feeling good! still have the back issues, but thats not pregnancy related, and multiple bathroom visits each night. oh, and all the weight gain. i just can't even go there.

25+3 and sure I have RLP at very inconvenient times (I’m a hairdresser) and insomnia because Jr here is seemingly playing dance dance revolution all night in there....but I AM STILL THROWING UP!!!! Doctor just keeps telling me it’s unfortunate but normal as long as I’m not dehydrated. Is anyone else still throwing up everyday?!
@erysapplepie I haven't had much vomiting this pregnancy, but I had HG with my first. I was severely ill and had to be hospitalized twice due to dehydration so I feel your pain. Hopefully your vomiting will subside soon.
I'm still tired all the time but I'm feeling a bit more motivated to get things done. My lower back has been killing me lately. After about 6 hours on my feel at work and I'm done. I also back to getting heartburn nightly.
Emotionally I'm just a mess. My hormones are just all over the place and I cry all the time. I dont know what to do with myself and I know it's making SO crazy.
Still dealing with sciatica in my left butt cheek, but after a mini road trip and a scenic drive over the weekend with lots of stops, I'm getting better at figuring out how to sit down and get back up without the intense flash of pain. My husband has been trying to massage me once or twice a day because I'm in so much pain, but it only helps for a short period of time. I talked to my OB about it last week, but he didn't have any real suggestions besides hoping it quits soon.
I'm also having a hard time with dairy, and it's basically all I want to eat. I can usually have one latte or some cheese in a meal without being affected, but lately, 30 mins after I have any dairy at all, my stomach is in knots and I want to die. I can avoid dairy better at home, but being on mini vacay over the weekend led to a lot of bad decisions. "Oh, we're on the coast, I have to get a cup of clam chowder!" (Uhh, bad idea.) "The verde omelette sounds amazing!" (It had a pound of cheese in it.) "Sweetie, I got you a white chocolate mocha, and I absolutely did not remember to ask for special milk!" (It tasted like hot cream with a pound of sugar in it, but I can't function without morning coffee, so I drank half of it. Also I haven't ordered a white chocolate mocha in like a decade, and I've only known the fella for 5 years, so I have no idea why he picked that.)
@erysapplepie this time my vomiting stopped by 2nd tri but I had HG with DS (2nd pregnancy) and vomited almost every day until the day he was born. The only thing that helped was a combination of Zofran, Reglan, and Protonix during the day and Phenergan at night. No advice, just solidarity.
I still have occasional vomiting, I think it's directly related to my allergies though (in coordination with pregnancy). It leaves me super congested and I puke in the am and I'm usually fine the rest of the day. It comes and goes, no real warning. Dr isn't concerned because I'm gaining weight.
26+1 and feeling GINORMOUS. I don’t know if this kid is twice the size of DS and DD or maybe I just forget being so uncomfortable, but I’ve been miserable the last few days. He feels super high which is making everything feel worse...eating, sleeping, sitting, etc. I’ve been super complainy lately about it so I’m probably driving DH nuts. Last baby so I’m trying my hardest to soak in this last pregnancy but little man is making me work for it!
@melbo444 grab some lactase enzyme! (They're right next to the Imodium and pepto at the pharmacy, and the big brand is Lactaid but any will work!) I've found I need to take 2 with most dairy. If there's tons of heavy cream I up it. It's not a medication, it's just way to combat lactose intolerance which it sounds like is what you developed.
Doc gave me Zofran awhile ago but it made me constipated which to me was even worse than puking. Only thing that makes me feel better is solidarity and peppermint tea

Why does the bump edit out all my emojis?! How do I express my emotional content without my beloved emojis?
@erysapplepie there are a very select few emojis the bump recognizes. You can choose them from the emoji icon above or type a colon write an emotion (happy, smile, lol, etc) and another colon - all no spaces - and do them that way too. So :word:
@erysapplepie I have a combo of meds, and some days I still puke through them (zofran, protonix, reglan, phenegran and scolpamine, currently. Although to be fair I had the Reglan and protonix before for GERD and Gastroperesis. OB just said they could help as well). HG is a bitch! As far as the constipation, miralax, stool softener, apple juice/prune juice and just downing as much fluids as possible. Also, ob said fleet enemas as needed (after I told them we we're on day 24, they said we needed to do something immediate). Also be weary that the peppermint tea could increase and worsen heartburn/reflux (which always makes my nausea way worse).
Re: the Emojis, to add to what @jennybean80 said. If you push the colon button, and then any letter, it will show you all the emojis associated with that letter (I've totally went through and pushed all the buttons so I could see the emojis. Lol)
Just sat on the floor at work and stretched because my low back was spasming. Got a couple of weird looks and "are you ok"s, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Therefore, it's possible that I'm taking an antibiotic for nothing and there's no explanation for my symptoms.
I've peed 13 times since 8am. I've had 64oz of water. I have taken 4 Tylenol to relieve the urethra ache and painful urgency to pee immediately after I just relieved myself.
My OB says that I should just come in for my biweekly checkup next week and they'll take another sample from me, but to continue taking my antibiotic until it's gone.
Any suggestions and/or sympathy is welcome! I feel like I must be taking crazy pills. What if this is just part of pregnancy and I'm destined to have a perpetual nonexistent UTI for THREE MORE MONTHS?!
@sliztee God I hope not, that would be awful. Maybe some kind of inflammation, just not bacteria related? I kept getting UTIs and then they'd call and say my culture came back negative. But the antibiotic still seemed to help, at least it would go away within several days. I have no idea. I hate it so much. I'm so sorry!
@sliztee that sounds like a nightmare!!!! I normally wouldn’t want to continue antibiotics with a negative culture either, but similar (but not similar) to @hannaht8516 I had a weird strep throat-like illness a few years ago. I went to an urgent care and they swabbed and the rapid strep was negative but all the symptoms were spot on for strep so they sent me home with antibiotics while they sent the culture. Within 2 days I was almost back to normal and they called me that the culture was negative so to stop the antibiotics. I stopped and within a day the symptoms all came back with a vengeance. I strongly believe those antibiotics were working. Hopefully that can be a little reassuring to your predicament of continuing the antibiotics even though the culture was negative. I’m not sure if you’ve had any improvement in symptoms since starting the antibiotics though. In the past the antibiotics for UTIs had a noticeable improvement in my symptoms by 2 days later. Wishing you much urethral comfort!!!! I can’t even imagine.
Thanks, @rabtaido1214 - in the past, antibiotics have made my symptoms drastically improve within 2 days as well. The good news is that my symptoms haven't worsened, they've just remained about the same
Is a lack of self control a symptom? I seem to have none today. DH had a lacrosse game so DD and I went to the mall to enjoy some free AC. I ended up eating a Cinnabon for dinner and buying very much nonmaternity clothes I didn’t need from Anthropologie.... ooops
@sliztee oh no! That would be terrible! The thing that helps is the mindset that it's going to get better with antibiotics, but if that isn't the case, you have my sympathy!
@KFrob Anthropologie is my weakness. I sneak in and tell my husband I’m looking at housewares while I decide if high waisted skirts will fit when my waist returns. I hope it returns!
Ha I also over buy from Anthropology. To be fair they are having a sale today...
Physically I am not feeling great today. Sort of nauseated and fatigued. Maybe it’s the heat or something I ate? I’ve been trying to stay hydrated and take it easy. Hoping it’s not signaling how I’ll feel in the third tri.

My cultures came back NEGATIVE for a UTI!
