I feel like I've been getting almost hotflashes of that's a thing? I get waves of heat, my cheeks get red and I feel hot and clammy all over.. it's been happening more frequently throughout the day the last few days.

I'm officially feeling super uncomfortable today and want to throw my desk chair out the window.  My back is killing me and I feel like when I sit there's no room for the baby.  My belly is so tight.  Its like this kid gained a pound and grew 3 inches overnight and my body wasn't ready for it.  This is what I get for thinking the other day how I haven't been too uncomfortable...  It's making me all sorts of moody
  • 24+4, and I think I'm finally starting to really get big. BADDDD timing. I tried on my BM dress for the wedding next Saturday and it fit fine Tuesday. Tried it on Thursday, and it was tighter in the upper stomach area, and now I'm like "OH SHIT must.not.gain.weight.in.next.week"...ARGH. Also, bras still suck and I feel like they dig into said annoying upper stomach all the time, unless I'm leaning back.

And it's soooo hot here and it's not even July yet. Whinnnneeeeee.

    Are we there yet?
  • @sliztee I've had way too many UTIs in my life. They're the worst. I think I'm just prone to them, my mom has always gotten them too. I'm glad you got antibiotics quick. That sounds miserable. Hope they kick in fast!

  • Thanks, @hannaht8516! I’m sure I’ll be feeling better by Sunday!
  • @sliztee - Tonight is the annual company outing to the ball game.  I am shamelessly skipping it.  It is too freaking hot.
  • Relaxing bra-less after a hot day. Bottom of my boobs sticking to my stomach. New problem for me (normally small boobs). Keep having to peel them off lol.
  • I'm staying inside as much as possible. It's miserable out. We are all packed for our trip and SS and I are hanging out watching Despicable Me 3.
  • 24 weeks

the crotch pain is getting real bad. I ran a bunch errands today and walked around several stores and by the end of it I could barely walk. Also having trouble getting up off couches now. Lol
  • Ugh I'm sorry @sliztee
  • @rabtaido1214 - I swipe the underside of my boobs with deodorant every morning.  It helps with the sticking.

@sliztee @knottieamusements must be that time of year DH has a family day for work tomorrow, it's supposed to be in the 90s.. free food and rides not that I can do any since it's like a mountain coaster, I think jumping into a huge blowup pit, ziplining... so you can catch me by the food all day.
  • @mamabearcj - Yep- skipping that one this year too.  Which makes me sad- roller coasters in the dark is one of my favorite things.
  • @sliztee Hope you feel better soon! My H has a UTI right now too and he's being a baby about it.

I finally took a walk for the first time in about 2 weeks. Bad idea, now my sciatica is back. Ugh..
  • DHs work party was a baseball game, but he was out of town so we couldn't go. The last two years they went to Cedar Point (roller coaster park in Ohio), but they just gave us tickets for whenever with those.
  • 26 weeks and experiencing the same as everyone else super tired every day and when I eat I feel so huge and bloated but im still hungry. Can't wait believe I have 14 weeks left.
  • I've been getting Braxton Hicks here and there. I like to take long walks and now I get crampy and uncomfortable after 1/2 a mile.

I'm sorry you're all dealing with unbearable heat. Here in San Diego we still have the June gloom, nice and cool, 70s. But our terrible hot months are coming soon. August through November are hot as balls. It was 100 degrees in Thanksgiving last year.
  • We were hoping to escape the heat by going north this week. It's going to be 98 with lots of humidity the next few days in Detroit. Even going to the UP it's still going to be mid to high 80s. I'm hoping it's not too bad in our tent, but I'm glad we bought a small fan.
  • So I tried to roll out my low back yesterday, but ended up getting stuck on the floor, on my back. I spent a good 5 minutes wondering how I was going to get up because the pain of moving was so intense. Eventually I wedged my hands under my butt, and was able to swing my legs over to one side and heave myself up that way. Low back pain is a real bitch.
  • @sliztee there is a medication that helps with the pain from a UTI available OTC.  Phenazopyridine HCI. I have no idea if it's safe during pregnancy or not so you'd have to ask. It might make this evening less horrible for you!
And to warn you, it turns your pee orange. Like, bright orange. I'd forgotten about that and the first time I went pee after I'd taken the stuff, it freaked me out for a bit.

    #4 Due 10/26/18!
  • @coffee-saur that's what my H has been taking. I can attest to the neon orange pee. He made me come look.  :p
  • @jweber4747 I'm dealing with bad heat now the heat index is 106 in oklahoma and I haven't had a/c in my car for like 2 months. I have an SUV that I drive to work and my SO has a mustang so we all pile in the mustang and I have to sit the back seat next to my son. Both pregnancies the babies have hated the mustang bucket seats and now I have 0 leg room. We need to get rid of the mustang soon and fix my a/c it sucks I sweat bullets in my car. Glad it gets cool late September. Also I am having hot flashes too and BH. I didn't have BH last pregnancy but a couple times but this time man.. It gets so tight.
  • With the uti pills you definitely want a liner so you don't stain your undies orange!
  • I guess next week we'll be I the 90s here, so summer is coming! The a.c. in my car just stopped working 3 days ago. I'm definitely getting it fixed! Especially since it'll still be hot in the first two months of the baby's life outside womb.

106 is crazy hot, definitely worth the money to fix that ac!

@sliztee as soon as I lay down for bed it's a dance party for these two! DH will be laying behind me with his hand on my belly and I can hear him giggle sometimes because they just go nuts and he can feel most of it
  • @jweber4747 I've just decided im gonna just get a new car. The suv has 200k miles on it and its paid off and it just has too many problems including the ac. Ill just spend the money for something nicer. +1 to extreme kicking the past week. He has been kicking hard and everytime I turn to a different side at night he has to readjust. I'm basically laying on the left side only so I don't have to deal with an uncomfortable baby if I lay on my right. The same thing happened with DS he only liked the left
  • My lower back is killing me. Its the worst at night. Last night I woke up on my back (although on my u pillow) and in so much pain. I had to move but it was just so painful to move. Once I did it got better. It constantly feels like I need to "crack" it, but I can't. The chiro hasn't been much help on that part.
  • Newest symptom has been a ?cramp ?achey feeling in my side when I’ve been walking for a few minutes. I think I’ve seen others mention this.

@rabtaido1214 yes that was me! I talked to my OB about it last week and she said it's just RLP and stretching due to the weight of the uterus bouncing around in there while walking. She said a support band would help but also over time as the muscles get stronger it won't hurt as much.
    Me 33 DH 41
    TTC since 2016
    Due: October 12, 2018
    Location: Ontario, Canada

  • @chyvie @rabtaido1214 I also posted about this a few weeks ago. Midwife also said it’s normal RLP and recommended the band if it gets too uncomfortable.
  • @sammierose464 - Maybe try a foam roller once or twice a day?  Although getting down on the floor to use one seems like its own sort of torture.

Ugh. Dealing with sore ribs and what I think might be RLP, was a busy weekend with a wedding yesterday and a family bbq today to celebrate Canada Day. I am so sore it hurts to breath so glad for a long weekend and another day to do nothing and rest.
  • @knottieamusements @sammierose464 I use a foam roller to roll out my low back/glutes/piriformus muscles to help with sciatica. It kinda helps. BE WARNED: it hurts like a bitch. If I'm feeling particularly sadistic that day, I'll also go for the IT band. (I'm realllllllllllly tight everywhere so it's quite painful for me).  Also, don't ever go too flat on your back. You could get stuck down there and have a muscle spasm and lay there for 5 minutes wondering how you are going to get up.....

Yeah i was thinking about that last night. Once we get home I'll have to try.
  • Waking up in the middle of the night with a full bladder and trying to stretch but getting horrible RLP is not fun.
