Re: APRIL FET

  • TruStory that's so scary I'm sorry that happened. What exactly does that mean? Can it happen again?

All good here. Waiting for time to pass so I can have my NT scan next wed at 13 weeks.  How you feeling @tosh24?

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born.

6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

  • @mcgeeva it basically means that all the pregnancy hormones have made my cervix extra sensitive. I had an exam on last Thursday and I’m willing to bet that’s what started it. It can happen all throughout the pregnancy unfortunately BUT as long as there is no sever cramping or passing of tissue I am told not to worry and just call the office. I have my NT scan in 2 weeks. my nausea seems to finally be letting up a bit.

@TruStory I can only imagine how scary that was. Glad everything is OK with baby. Hopefully your cervix settles down and that was the end of the spotting/bleeding for the rest of the pregnancy. @mcgeeva Glad things are going well for you! 11+0 over here. I was home from work today. I couldn't move this morning without feeling like I was going to upchuck. Thought I'd have to stop and barf on somebody's lawn as I drove the kids to school this morning. Finally, early afternoon when I started to feel better, I got some food into me just to have the runs the rest of the afternoon. I am so, so thankful to hopefully be incubating my THB, but I hate 1st tri. NT scan is next Wed (the 27th) so I know I'll get more and more nervous as it approaches. I bought a fetal doppler to help with my PGAL anxiety and I've been able to find the HB quite easily over the last week, so hopefully that continues.

Hopefully it doesn’t happen again with the rest of the test being outside the vag. Dude @tosh24 the nausea has been hoorrrrible. Our whole fam got the stomach flu last week on top of the all day and night feeling pukey. Mornings are def better for me but by afternoon night the yuck is back no clue when this crap ends!!!.

I still check this board too! I miss you guys.
I'm doing well at 12 weeks today, waiting to have nt scans and bloodwork. We are still not telling anyone outside our immediate families (and this board) until we are sure the baby is healthy. PGAL is so much harder than I knew.

  • We did NT per SG doctor. Said even though we did PGS go ahead bc nothing is 100% But honestly it was nice to have an u/s since we haven't done one in 5 weeks and now we have another 4 weeks to hear hb again then 2 weeks after that we will do our anatomy scan. Our baby girl is looking good :) I have high bp still so waiting on my 24 hour collection results to see if we need to up my meds again. Honestly being older sadly I feel like I will be counting down to 30 weeks praying I have no issues until then but good god my job is high stress which isn't helping. How is everyone else doing?

@TruStory Glad you are starting to feel better! GL at your NT scan next week!

@mcgeeva Glad your NT scan went well! Sorry you're still dealing with high BP. Just another level of added stress. I hear you on counting down the days - this whole process has caused me so much stress and trauma that I just want to fast forward to baby time so that I can relax.

AFM, so far so good. Had my NT scan and everything looked good. Got to see baby sucking its thumb too which was pretty sweet. I'm having more discomfort and cramping than I remember with the other two which always has my anxiety on alert. My doctor said she thinks I'm just hyper-aware because of my recent history. I also wonder if the endo is causing more pressure and discomfort since it was never this advanced before. Who knows. All i know is that I want it to be Christmas already so I can have babe in arms. My bump has officially sold me out and the word is now out on the street so that is also really anxiety-inducing. I really thought this was going to be easier.....

  • @tosh24 pretty much. I cry super easily just thinking about the past which freaks me out for the present. I see myself going down the same path with high stress job, going through tons of file transfers at work, not enough help and endless overtime so I get nervous whenever I overdo it and get stomach pains. Last thing I want to experience is a placental abruption which high bp can cause. That's so cool you could see the baby sucking his/her thumb :) I agree with the being hyper aware. It will hopefully get easier as time passes. Now if time could fast forward for us all!

  • @tosh24 Glad your NT scan went well.  Ours was 3 weeks ago (at 12 weeks) and was a-okay (“low risk”).  NIPT results (I’m 40 and was 39 when this egg was retrieved) were also negative for the stuff for which Panorama tested and confirmed the PGS gender (which annoyingly DH still doesn’t want to know - which means I get to worry about slipping for 5 more weeks.

I just told my supervisor yesterday because this last Monday a nosy female coworker asked me if she was “allowed to ask.”  She apologized to me later - I wasn’t offended so much as surprised - plus it made me realize that I probably wasn’t going to make it to like 5 months without saying anything.  Didn’t want my supervisor to hear it from elsewhere first.  But last night I actually hid from a neighborhood gathering because I looked a little pregnant and I’m just not ready to tell people quite yet. *sigh*

Now if the tired and nausea would just go away - I keep hearing it’s supposed to soon...

Hi! Doing OK over here. 15+4 and finally feeling about 50-60% better but still have nausea in the evenings (or when I don't eat) and want to just nap all day every day. My migraines are ramping up and I've had about 5 so far this week which makes it hard to function. First OB appointment July 31st and anatomy scan middle of August. Still super anxious. Starting to feel baby move here and there which is fun. My bump has oficially sold me out at work and people are starting to stop by my office and congratulate me once their suspicions are confirmed by someone who already knows lol. My family doesn't know yet - hoping to hold out until end of August to fill them in (we're not close at the moment - lots of drama related to my prior losses and them being hurtful about everything) but i have a function to attend next weekend so hopefully I can find something strategic to wear. Other than that, just trucking along and hoping this really is my THB.

Hope all you other mamas are doing well! Would love to hear some updates!

ETA: @mcgeeva sorry you're still feeling awful. I hope it lets up soon!

  • @tosh24 that's great! But it's nice to be out in the open so you can start to enjoy what's going on and celebrate it.  Girl I think this is just how it's going to be. I nevvvvver had nausea ever with my boys so this girl is kicking my ass. I eat but nights are awful.I will be up all night tossing and turning wanting to puke. Why only at night?? I just don't get it.

  • dragonette505 so it totally blows. Going to talk to my doctor next friday at my 17.5 week apt about things because I feel guilty I take two nausea pills and and sometimes unisom at night bc otherwise im sick all night and I have to function for work. Sadly they won't let me set up my A/S until I get my stupid slip next week. Dying for it already but since it's outside of our practice im sure it'll be busy no matter when I do it. And yeay for girls!! How exciting :) I've never experienced having a daughter so that sweet.

  • @mcgeeva I actually stopped all my nausea meds because honestly i felt exactly the same on them. The diclegis (which is b6 and unisom) i do think helped me sleep maaaaybe a few days. But my body was like... nah, we can overcome that too. I'm now kinda used to lack of good sleep for the most part! lol. Is the slip like a referral? ugh, that sux... all of my scans so far have been within the same medical office and they just tell me when and where to show up (i have two choices... the center near my office or at the hospital which is about 5 minutes from my house. My hospital network is huge so the do a lot of stuff in house. What week will you be, do you think for the scan?
  • @dragonette505 Oh man I can't go without I tried and I get all shaky and can't function. OOh yeah def doesn't help me sleep. I have no clue I asked for it in advance but told me I had to wait for my slip at my apt. We don't need referrals for my insurance just the slip what hospital to call to set up. Really it's just dumb they could of told me the week to schedule for. That's awesome. I am assuming 20 weeks.

@dragonette505 Oh man I can't go without I tried and I get all shaky and can't function. I am assuming 20 weeks.

ah... maybe because my docs office is IN a hospital i don't need "the slip". lol Yeah, 20 weeks is pretty standard.
  • That makes sense. Are you on the December board or Jan?

  • @mcgeeva I'm Jan, but at my age, you know... lol I'm sure because I'm due Jan 8 my range will be in late December
  • @mcgeeva we must be due right around the same time because I am 16+ also. Due 1/1! When are you due?

@tosh 24 I hope your family function next week goes well. We came pretty close to deciding not to have a baby shower due to family drama so I know how that can be. I hope you all are able to get to a better place.

@dragonette505 I am doing well. My nausa is very sneaky, it's like I'm not hungry at all for a long period of time and then all of a sudden I am starving and going to be sick if I don't eat that minute. I am eating a lot of snacks because I can't wait long enough to even heat up real food. I consider myself very lucky though, because I work in a building with multiple food companies, so at times there are a lot of conflicting smells happening and that hasn't been a problem like I expected.
I totally get what you mean about there being less anxiety now that you know you are having a girl! After loss, differences in how you feel or how things are are like life rafts, because it means things can turn out differently.

I hope everyone will update with how their anatomy scans go, and any cute things you learn about your babies.
A friend of mine was telling me that she's having some trouble getting pregnant and I was telling her that there was an online forum that helped me a lot. I want to thank you guys for being a big part of that.
  • morganelizabeth123 yep I was due 1/2 but csection scheduled for the 27th but my doctors already told me they think I’ll come before my csection date like my boys did especially since I’m high risk.

  • morganelizabeth123 HA! Sneaky nausea! Mine is still always around, but not as crippling as it was. I am told to keep snacking too, which i do, but have gagging and nausea after... i think that's just the way its gonna be for now, but i guess because i lost a bunch of weight i have to try to get food in regardless. OMG cant imagine the conflicting smells! We have catered lunch here in my office and daily it revolts me! lol I don't "feel" hungry much, but when i do if i cant eat right then i become a fire monster :)
Your friend should def join here... its been such a life saver... a heart saver. When nobody else understands, i could always find someone here to relate or just let me know it sux and they are with me. Women in the infertility and ttc community are doing a beautiful thing.

  • Okay posting this on here because I'm completely heartbroken and have no where else to talk about this. I just found out my doctor died in a jet ski accident yesterday. The amazing man I have gone to for over 8 years for all three of my babies. I have to work but I'm crying like a baby. Was hoping to introduce my daughter to him.

@mcgeeva Oh man, I am so sorry. That is truly heartbreaking. Luckily, his legacy will live on in all of the babies he's helped bring into this world. I'm sorry you won't be able to introduce your daughter to him.

Your right :/ It's just so so sad because I feel most doctors I hate to say wouldn't have made an impression on me to care, but he was so different. I have always driven by the office and told my boys they helped me get them. And I refused to go anywhere else. He is super close with my OB as well who always kept in contact. Ugh I'm am emotional hormonal mess today.

  • mcgeeva  Oh no! That's terrible! So sorry you have to deal with this at work... is there any way you can take a short day???
  • Thanks ladies. I wish but too much crap to do since I work with someone who is incredibly lazy and I'm having to pick up the slack. Worse part about it is the article came out today and from the sounds of the accident I don't know if one of his boys accidentally hit him with the jet ski and killed him :( And I know some ladies mid cycle with him right now through the FB infertility page. He was only 53 so it's incredibly sad.
