@kristah2 Thank you so much for saying that!
@LLynde5 Thank you for being happy with me!
Plan B: we are going to do a family photo announcement.. DS is going to be holding a sign that says something to the effect "mommas belly is growing" and kissing my tummy... I'm going to be holding a sign that says something like "So our are hearts" and kissing DH who will be holding a sign that reads "baby last name Dec 2018" haven't quite decided on my wording yet, but I got white poster board for it today, gonna get DS to help me splatter blue and pink paint on it before i do the lettering... Ill post them when i finish them up!
I love it! What a cute announcement
I am so happy that my super conservative Catholic family is actually excited and supportive, considering SO and I aren't married. We were not sure what reaction we would get, but so thrilled everyone shared in our joy!
We took my parents and ILs out to dinner and gave the Grandpa’s an early Father’s Day card. The card said basically luckiest Grandpa’s luckiest grandkid and the first had a non-winning lotto ticket (we both have infertility dx, so this is a very lucky conception). We said “oh no, that’s the wrong ticket, I messed that card up, here’s the right one!” Gave them another card (same exact one) but this one had a sonogram and said “Love, your favorite grandson and your favorite granddaughter!” (There are no other grandkids on either side)
We thought they’d be thrilled. They were not excited, asked no questions, and quickly dropped the subject and didn’t mention it again. Later when I asked about it, MIL said she refuses to be excited bc baby won’t be born on the East coast (we might be moving). I know our parents aren’t the greatest, but I was still pretty floored. Thankfully we have wonderfully supportive friends and loved ones who are all overjoyed by our miracle bean to make up for it.
