@clbness Oy! That's exactly why our (postcard only) announcements even specified to keep my pregnancy off of Facebook. We use social media as a means to share things with friends, our parents and grandparents think it's a worldwide megaphone/soapbox and often assume that if something is online it's 100 percent public and available for comment. I would have closed my account except that I know our grandparents love it...so here we are, still on Facebook. But hey - cute announcement!

@echo-charlietango Thank you! Ugh, yes, social media really can be the worst. My IL's are on FB all. the. time. and they KNOW that I was keeping it off social media for a while (mostly because a couple people very close to me are having a hard time conceiving and have experienced loss). MH's Grandma is on there 24/7 and she knows I haven't announced and she STILL commented on my bump. I wasn't annoyed by the pic...just by the comment. I had it deleted. IL's. man...what can ya do?!
@clbness Yeah, that's annoying. I probably only noticed the bump because I KNEW you were pregnant. I definitely wasn't going to say anything since you hadn't announced yet..

Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born.
6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived
10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP
We also just posted on fb. We weren't planning to, but my belly is obvious and we are posting some vacation pics. I just put one of h and me on top of a mountain and captioned it 'next year [h] will carry the baby up the mountain'
We throw a semi-annual bash called Lyndetoberfest and after not getting a new house, still being sick at 24 weeks and just feeling defeated, I can’t pull it off to the level our guest expect. So we posted this to cancel.
The FB caption said “Due to the up coming event Lyndetoberfest is cancelled”
Our original announcement was going to be DD dressed as a baby biker looking tough next to her tricycle with a caption that said something about nobody better mess with my baby brother! Maybe I will get it together for her three year old photo session.
