Hi girls, sorry I've been MIA. I mistimed my expected transfer date. For my first FET, my body was confused and I ovulated super late. But this month everything happened right on time. I actually transfer one female embryo yesterday on memorial day! Everything went well, embryo is good quality and already hatching...and now for the annoying tww!
My lining on friday was a 9.6, and doctors say everything is beautiful. But I can't shake off the feeling that something is wrong with me and I can't get pregnant even though we ran every test that my RE can think of....
@mandurz congrats on the embryo @mommyatheart Those are good numbers. Are you planning on having the embryos PGS tested?
P.S. Anyone have tips on handling crinone? last FET, I was so itchy from the discharge, it was almost as bad as a yeast infection

@megmac2010 and @kristimh80 hope your sonohysts went well today! @MSU_Girl1202 sorry to hear about your prior FET fiasco - what meds will you be on for this one? @linxyz fingers crossed that your embryo sticks!!! @mandapanda1421 I've done PIO before - our routine was: (1) draw up PIO into plastic syringe, discard drawing needle (2) heat up a microwavable heating pad and fill a hot water bottle from teakettle (3) wrap plastic syringe in heating pad for a couple of minutes to warm oil and help thin it out (3) I lie on my belly, husband injects, draws back to check for blood, pushes in oil slowly, then pulls needle out and holds pressure with gauze (4) I roll over and lie with injection area on hot water bottle for 20-30 min (often I'd just go to sleep at this point) We did it for a total of 8 weeks so we really had it down! @chamomile-2 Thank you!! Went well...looking to biopsy next Tuesday! Great advice about PIO and a warm water bottle...I've never thought about doing that before. I need to try laying down, but always do mine 1st thing in the morning, so usually running out the door right after.

There are so many amazing people on this thread. All of your stories show your strength and love. I am praying for all of us as we go through this together.
I was very active on the bump back in 2013/2014. I did IVF in Feb 2014, and then my first FET April 2014 **TW that FET resulted in my twin daughters who are now 3.5. More recently we did another FET last Feb which resulted in a miscarriage at 8 weeks. TW**
We are had to wait for my cycle which took a good while and then I went on birth control and got a SHG. Last birth control pill was Sunday night, and my baseline blood work is tomorrow. I will be on estrogen, baby asprin and folic acid, and then add in progesterone close to transfer.
Best of luck to all of you. I am sorry we are all here, but I am glad to be surrounded by such strength during this process.

Wish I could make a poll......progesterone suppositories or PIO? I have only done the suppositories. hear the PIO hurts like a B but its cheaper and may be a little more "summer time" bathing suit friendly.....thoughts?

@KathrynShustek I've done both and prefer PIO. I don't care for the mess of suppositories honestly. I did my 1st PIO of this round today and felt nothing. This time I had to nurse draw circles on me so I didn't venture off course like last time

@KathrynShustek my RE has me on both; suppositories 2x daily except for one day/week when I have PIO in the evening. i'm so over the suppositories... they leak, so i've just become accustomed to wearing thick pantyliners everyday. i only have to do PIO 1x/week, if i had to do it daily, my butt would be so itchy/bruised/hardened/dimpled. The injection site gets super itchy and the bruises can turn in to hard little lumps. i wish the answer could be neither! haha -- whatever you do, you'll adapt.
I have done both with my first FET I started with pio but had to add the suppository because on my progesterone check 7 days after transfer it wasn't high enough so we had to do both for a while. I agree the suppository sucks because of the leaking but I just got used to wearing a pad. The pio has its downfalls as well. It hurts after a while because I always ended up with knots all over my bum. But warming the oil before injection and using some way to heat the injection site does help. I massage the area after injection also. Personally I would choose the pio over the suppository if I had a choice, but since my Dr prefers the pio it doesn't matter for me.

So can you not swim when using suppositories? My RE didn’t give me an option. I have to do them. I’ll be starting crinone a handful of days before transfer. I’m so bummed about not being able to swim. We just opened our pool and it has been really hot outside!
Counting down the minutes until I get my PGS results and Hopefully join you all! I called the PGS lab and they said my Dr. should have the report on Friday. I'll be hounding them.
Very interested in the Crinone vs POI poll because I bought the Crinone for a prior cycle BUT I'm thinking of switching to POI because my Dr. said he prefers it. I'm worried about the bathing suit thing.
@kristimh80 Do you self administer the POI? Same as trigger or more difficult?
i don’t really mind the PIO. Another trick that worked good for me is once you’ve drawn up the PIO I tuck the syringe right under my boob for ten minutes before I inject. No hassle of prepping and it warms and thins it out perfectly!
@laurengon82 my nurse told me that when using suppositories, they are all absorbed after 30 minutes. I take suppositories 3x per day. I usually set my alarm 45 minutes early, put them in and go back to bed for 45 minutes, then just get on with my day. At nighttime, it's the last thing I do before I go to sleep. The only one I find inconvenient is the afternoon dose.
I would swim while using suppositories, but I usually don't exercise vigorously during my tww, and since I've never actually gotten pregnant and had to stay on suppositories long term, I've never had to think about it! But as long as you rest for awhile after inserting them and give them time to absorb, I don't see why you couldn't swim.
@kristimh80 when is your ERA? I was thinking about what beach bunny said about warming the PIO and remembering when you tried that the first time! Wink wink! Experts now!
@laurengon82 I thought I was, but the circles my nurse made it so much better! I guess what I think was my quad / hip was a little off! LOL My ERA is this coming Tuesday : )

Anyone experience bleeding after a sonohystogram? I had one two days ago and I'm bleeding pretty heavily today. I would compare it to day 1 of my cycle in amount and colour. Normal? Or something to call the nurses line about?
@megmac2010 I had my saline ultrasound on the 22nd and yes had a bit of spotting. Not a significant amount so if it is heavy bleeding I would absolutely call and make sure nothing strange is going on. Hope all is ok

@beachbunnyxo123 woo hoo! Glad you get to start. My baseline will be June 8th and should start the estrogen shots twice a week. Then should start pio June 21st

afm, I started estridol patch and pill Wednesday. Tomorrow I add in one more pill. I am not enjoying the estrogen. I don’t know why, but it makes me very tired! Next appointment is June 14th and they will tell me what time to start crinone and PIO.
@chamomile-2 thanks for the PIO tips! When I did the IM trigger I was standing, but am definitely going to try lying down with the PIO and see what I like better.
Hey guys. Its 6dpt and im very worried.on friday i started to felt like what was the beginning of my period: very minor cramps, minor backache, slight swollen boobs. The symptoms come and go and they seem to have gone today. My beta is on friday but im worried i might be out this cycle as well..
@linxyz I know it’s so hard not to be worried and we are all so aware of what we feel in our bodies especially after a transfer. It’s so hard to say since symptoms can come and go and be different for everyone. As hard as it is try not to worry so that you don’t have that extra stress. When is your beta and are you testing before? FWIW with my first transfer I had cramping and backache but *TW* it wound up being a CP *End TW* obviously my experience and symptoms have no bearing on yours but hopefully those symptoms will be a good sign for you.
@beachbunnyxo123 thank you for the reassurance. My beta is on friday. I wont do hpt, after two years of negative tests im so scared of another negative test. i stuck in an extra crinone just in case.
@linxyz I'm convinced after a 9 week miscarriage, a million negative months, a failed fresh transfer and a successful FET that early pregnancy and an impending period feel exactly the same for me. I don't have much response to hCG I think, and it's just the estrogen/progesterone that I feel which are the same whether I'm pregnant or not! So I don't think those symptoms mean you're out at all!
**end TW**
@beachbunnyxo123 and @laurengon82 we're all in the same phase now! I've been on estrogen patches since 5/27 with escalating numbers - tomorrow I'll take off these two and put on 3. Med delivery is tomorrow for all the PIO supplies and the doxycycline and medrol for the 5 days before transfer. Next ultrasound is on CD18 which is June 13th, and if all is well we'll start the pincushion life the next night! The estrogen makes me grumpy, tired and crampy - I can "feel" my uterus way more than I normally do.
@linxyz early pregnancy and period symptoms are almost identical for me as well. I know it's impossible not to get scared or worried, but feeling those things could very well be an awesome sign. Good luck for great numbers on fri and after.

Thank you all! I know better than to symptom spot, but i can't help it! Also feeling gassy and looser bowel movements just like PMS.
I guess compared to my failed FET in April, its a whole different set of symptoms. In april, I had high energy, and some spotting 6 days after transfer, and a more pronounced period cramp. This time around, I'm exhausted. After walking 30 minutes, my foot is sore. My husband says I'm walking so slow too...I have lower back aches and pangs of sleepiness.

@beachbunnyxo123 good tip on warming the PIO.
@kristimh80 when is your ERA? I was thinking about what beach bunny said about warming the PIO and remembering when you tried that the first time! Wink wink! Experts now!

1. they only care about bleeding after a sonohystogram if it is heavier than a regular period.
2. I need to chill out because it only lasted for one day and I'm back to normal.
AFM had my baseline BW and US yesterday and got the go ahead to start my FET meds. Started my estrace vaginally last night. I’m also taking doxycycline twice a day for endometritis until my transfer. I go back for monitoring again on Tuesday.
My doctor is having me suppress with buserelin and I don't start for another week! I just want to get this party started!

@beachbunnyxo123 yay for starting meds!
afm, I started estridol patch and pill Wednesday. Tomorrow I add in one more pill. I am not enjoying the estrogen. I don’t know why, but it makes me very tired! Next appointment is June 14th and they will tell me what time to start crinone and PIO.
