This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have
started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your
thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long
journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with
infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to
infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make
this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another.
Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have
something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Any questions?:
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity?
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Likely trying on our own.
How are things going?: We meet with the RE on Wednesday afternoon to go over next steps. Hopefully MH is now on the same page with me again. I expected a BFN given I only produced one follicle. I know it only takes one. When I’ve matured 3-4/injectable IUI cycle & are still here, I refrained from hoping too hard on a single follicle.
Any questions?: Is it standard to do a hysteroscopy/laproscopy (RE usually does both at the same time) before IVF? What about skipping SHG if an HSG has been completed?
GTKY: Gardening!!!! Preparing, planting, growing, picking, etc is a great cathartic release for me. The daily care required provides me something to focus in & look forward to the rewards.
@jrm_14 I know I've never done ivf before, but I would think that an shg would be a first order of business. If there is nothing seen on that, then I wouldn't understand doing a hystero/laparoscopy unless you've had some test result that suggests it's a good idea. I don't really know for certain though. I understand what you mean about one follicle because we had that happen to us. For me, it was like, well I just paid all of this money to have a significantly better chance so why does it make sense to get one follicle when I can do that on my own? Lol. Fx for you guys for trying on your own!
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

@jrm_14 I'm so sorry you're back here. I don't have any advice on the pre-IVF testing and procedures, but I hope that YH is on the same page as you and ready to move on to the next step. Good luck at your appointment tomorrow!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Trying on our own until IUI in July
How are things going?: I'm sick of my body just kind of doing is own damn thing all the time. I was doing OPKs and I had the darkest one on CD7 and now the second line is a squinter so I don't think I'm going to O (today is CD11 and I've O'd anywhere from CD9-13 in the past and have yet to have trouble getting a + OPK). At least when my body decides to do this, it's usually a short cycle.
Other than the above, had a nice weekend and I kind of want July to just get here so I can feel like I'm actually trying something instead of just going through the motions.
Any questions?: I want to call the RE prior to the start of the IUI cycle so I can get all the details. Is there anything specifically that you all would suggest that I ask/confirm when I do call so that I know exactly what's going on? All that has been mentioned in the past is doing an IUI with clomid.
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? Does sitting on the porch sipping cocktails count?? Other than that, I would saying taking evening walks with DH and our dog when it's not too hot.
"It's time to try defying gravity."

@jrm_14 Good luck with your appointment. I hope that you are able to get a plan to move forward. It is so tough when H isn't on the same page. Really glad that you have talked and are back on it moving forward together. I am jealous of your gardening. I am so terrible at it. I think I would manage to kill a cactus. MH bought we a orchid recently, honestly I don't know what that man was thinking. It has made it almost two weeks so far though. Feel free to start taking bets on how long it will last.
@lulu1180 Come on July!! Hoping that time passes quickly for you. Sipping cocktails on the porch should help though, right?! I definitely think that should count as a hobby.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): OB next week so will just have to wait and see how that goes.
How are things going?: Doing ok. The current grey zone that I am in is unsettling honestly. My mother has not been overly helpful. She all but told me that given what they have found so far, I am infertile. She retracted quickly, but it was a gut punch all the same. Otherwise, added all sorts of supplements to the regiment, waiting on more to come. And going back to acupuncture starting today. Anything to try and promote blood flow to the ute and thicken up the lining. Thanks for all the tips last week ladies!
Any questions?:
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? Summer we do a lot of hiking, some camping here and there. My pup is a big swimmer, so we are at the lake all the time. Anything outdoors really.
@jrm_14 , I didn't have a hysteroscopy or laproscopy at all. Never have. AS far as the HSG/SHG, I had an HSG a but before IVF. Once I hit 1 year, they wanted me to do another, but they said SHG. Basically, either was fine with them, but they want me to flip between the two yearly.
@lulu1180 , IUIs are pretty straightforward. I would just ask about the trigger. What kind of trigger, and if you need to buy it or if the clinic would be. I was under the impression my clinic would provide since they never sent a script or anything... but then I showed up for the IUI and had never triggered and I had to go pick one up at a specialty pharmacy over an hour away.
@nitnat007 , Ugh, ouch mom! Honestly, nothing is ever a big red X, until there is a big red X, you know? You might be dealing with AMA and low morph, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's all over, at all! Don't let her get you down. Finish up testing and be sure of what you are fighting first. Big, big hugs. As anyone else will tell you, this stuff is all about baby steps. One tiny step at a time is how you get through it. If you look at the big picture, you'll surely be overwhelmed.
@rallykat14 OMG. I have so many emotions about ER for your donor. How overwhelming/exciting/terrifying/alltheotheremotions. I am sending out the biggest, most hopeful prayers and good vibes. Wrapping you in my love and support.
Diagnosis (if you've been): MFI/RPL
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFFET
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): BW and lining check tomorrow. Should be receiving transfer date as well, so fingers crossed.
How are things going?: It's rough right now. I am really struggling to find hope. I find myself planning out the rest of the year as if the transfer fails/ends poorly. I've been looking at cruises and vacations that would be impossible with pregnancy. It's like I am just trying to get this last transfer out of the way so I can move on this year.
Any questions?: Anyone here take intralipids? I start those tomorrow. H is starting the IV at home, thank goodness!
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? I love floating on the river. Drinking, kayaking down the lazy river while hanging with friends is the BEST. This year we are taking on of our pups along on our trips, so hopefully he takes to the training well. Our other dog HATES the water, so she is gonna have to stay home.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IUI #4
How are things going?: Pretty good. MH and I are both really hopeful for this cycle, given the high number of follies, but we're also afraid it won't work and we'll be incredibly devastated. In non-TTC news, it's officially summer break for me, and I'm loving being lazy! MH and I planted our garden this weekend and I can't wait to see it grow. This week I'll start getting things underway for summer work projects (course prep, research, writing, etc.), which is also kind of exciting.
Any questions?: I had mild to moderate cramping for about four days after my IUI, which didn't happen with the previous IUIs. Anyone had a similar experience? Could this be related to the high number of follies (6)?
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? I do love to garden, but I really posted this GTKY because I need ideas for some new hobbies! I spend too much time on Netflix or playing computer games when I have free time.
@jrm_14 I felt the same way the IUI cycle I only had one
follie, but those BFNs still suck. Sending you many hugs, friend. What are you
growing in your garden?
@lulu1180 Sorry your body isn’t cooperating. I’d ask the RE
more details about the drug protocol. Why clomid vs. letrozole? Why that
dosage? When will monitoring be, given that you have unpredictable O dates? How
many follies are they looking for? At what point would they cancel a cycle?
@nitnat007 Sorry for the crappy comments from your mother.
What will the OB be doing/testing for? Enjoy your acupuncture!
@rallykat14 Oh, the ER is so soon! Fx so hard that things
work out this time. We’re all rooting for you!
@KristoKekerooni Fx the bw and lining check all looks good.
You don’t have to feel hopeful to go through with this transfer. We’re all over
here hoping like crazy that it’ll work. Floating down the river sounds
glorious! What a great way to relax and have fun.
Guys, I almost forgot to ask, did anyone lose hair during IVF? Last time my hair thinned out, and I lost some lashes. This morning I noticed my pillow covered in small hairs. I have no eyelashes left. Okay, technically, I have two. Two single eyelashes on my left eye. My hair is thinner too, but I cut off over a foot of my hair recently, so it's easier to be gentle with my head hair. Like, I don't brush it anymore, I just comb my fingers through it. But my lashes.

@lulu1180 forgive me for forgetting but will this be your first IUI? Are you definitely gonna go with clomid? Excited for you!!!
@jrm_14 it is not standard to do. The only reason I had a hysteroscopy was because they couldn’t get my catheter in for my saline sono. The saline sono is different then the hsg cause it can check for polyps or fibroids and the hsg makes sure your tubes are open and all that jazz. I would do the saline sono, I wouldn’t do the hysteroscopy unless there is a reason they feel it would be necessary and a laporscopy is invasive and definitely not standard.
@rallykat14 I will be hoping and praying for good news for you this week! They were right on the money about the ER being on the 30th!
@KristoKekerooni are you on your FET meds currently? Keep us posted on how it goes tomorrow!! Regarding the hair loss, have you had your thyroid checked recently?
@beachbunnyxo123 , yup, on my meds! Not the progesterone, etc yet, but the others pre-transfer stuff I'm on. We checked my TSH last week. It was 1.45... because that was my first thought. But that's a normal, good level. H thinks it's the lovenox, since we increased that dose. I dunno. I'm just irrationally sad about it. His other thought was stress-induced alopecia. Basically, no clue. But I hate it and I am sad. Which is stupid and petty and lame.
Also, I haven't heard of specifically using Benedryl, but it couldn't hurt. It's safe to take. I could see how the antihistimine could suppress the immune system. IT also probably helps your lining, much the same as Mucinex does.

TTC Naturally, possibly IUIs for remainder of 2018. ER#2 ~Jan 2019
Hello! New to the Bump, TTC for the first time and ran into some unexpected issues. In a time in life when it seems like everyone around us is expecting, looking for some community.
Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS, 18 months ago after 6 months TTC
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Have been on Progesterone and Metformin for 18 months now, just began new IF protocol: 2,000 mg Metformin every day, 250mg Femara CD 3-7, 300 mg Estradiol twice daily CD 10-12, 400 mg Progesterone CD 18-30. We are trying this for a few months, then if no luck, will add Ovidrel trigger shot on CD 16.
How are things going?: In good spirits beginning the new treatment plan!
Any questions?: Wondering if others have tried this same treatment plan with success? I've seen some variations, but not quite this same one.
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? Remodeling — we are nearly finished with our second flip house!
@KristoKekerooni Yes on the hair loss! During the last FET cycle, I would say I lost about half my hair and it's still struggling to come back as I'm transferring on/off all these hormones. My friend (IRL) also had the same issue. Just a couple weeks ago we were talking about how much hair loss we have faced and that we just hope it grows back eventually. (Her doctor said to expect 3-6 months.)

Hi everyone! I’ve been active on TTGP/TTCAL on and off the past year or so, TTC for the past 2 years. Finally decided to come over to the IF thread now that I have a diagnosis and a plan. It was such a frustrating process to get to this point, but at least it seems like things might go differently now. Who knows, though.
Diagnosis (if you've been): septate uterus
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TTA for this cycle
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Had surgery to remove my septum last Thursday- taking it easy this month for healing, also on an estrogen pill regimen to help that along.
How are things going?: Pretty good- surgery gave me the fake AF from heck, though. If things continue to go well (knock on wood!), we’re starting FSH/IUI next cycle with the RE. Meeting with her this Friday to go over everything.
Any questions?: Not really, but I feel like this cycle is going to crawl by.
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? Small cookouts- I love having some friends over and enjoying a meal together outside.
@lulu1180 I would ask why clomid instead of Letrozole. And I would ask what would cause it to be cancelled.
@nitnat007 yikes mom! Did you tell her that was really hurtful? I’m considering starting acupuncture before IVF. I need to see how much it will be OOP though.
@rallykat14 I am so freaking excited and nervous for you!!
@KristoKekerooni I hope you get a transfer date! When are you expecting it to be?
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): bcp before starting stims
How are things going?: ehhh. Been sick to my stomach since Saturday. Got a bfn yesterday and started spotting today so I guess we’ll be doing IVF. I had a feeling we’d get to this point but it really does suck.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? Sleeping in and being lazy since it’s my summer break
@KristoKekerooni you’re not being irritational at all, that’s a legitimate concern that anyone would be concerned about! If it was increased I’m sure it’s possible that it’s the lovenox. When are you doing the intralipids?
@purplg8r ugh I’m so sorry that you’re at this point friend. All the hugs.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF#4 - though every day is a risk to be cancelled!
How are things going?: We are really living day to day at the moment. I have no idea what my clinic will say to each report, I have no idea what my ovaries or my lining or blood will do every appointment. It’s really living by the seat of our pants. I’ve been quiet the last week as every day things changed and sometimes several times a day, so when I would go to write an update something else would happen. The baseline bloodwork results were delayed from Friday to Monday, so Friday night I had to convince the RE to let me start stims as I had an AFC of three which is great for me. So we injected stims and HGH Fri Sat Sun. Then Monday we got the results and my FSH was good for me at 14.8 but the oncall RE (public holiday) started spouting “well normally we don’t start a cycle unless FSH is less than 12 and AFC more than 6”. I *might* have jumped down his throat and said something along the lines of “well then I wouldn’t be with your clinic if my RE had not agreed I am exception, so don’t you dare cancel me for that”. So we kept injecting Monday night. Also on Monday I had US and BW again. Had a nice little estrogen rise and three more follies appeared for a total of six but all small - and they found what they think is a polyp growing on my lining. Today I’ve been again for BW and US, still six follies, but two are now bigger at 14mm and 11mm and the other 4 from 6-9mm. The polyp is now like a monster growing in my lining. I guess it’s loving all the estrogen from the priming and now from six follies. My lining never had so much estrogen exposure in years and it seems to have got a bit “high” on it!!! Now the wait for the BW and then a phone call tonight with either stim/HGH/cetrotide instructions or they still might want to cancel.... I really really really want to have this retrieval to see how many eggs and check the higher stims haven’t fried them at the very least.
Any questions?: Tactics to make polyps go away and stop sucking up the estrogen?
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? Tending my rose bushes. Walks at the beach (in Northern Europe it’s normally comfortable temps at best, if not chilly enough for a light sweater - though today we have 35 degrees, which would be much better at the beach than in my office!!!).
@jrm_14 laparoscopy was standard before IVF about 100 years ago!!! Well, maybe 15 years ago... A Hysteroscopy or Saline Sono or anything where you’re awake and either flush some fluid or poke a camera up is completely standard. I have read in several journals that HSGs are getting less favorable as 3D and 4D ultrasound becomes more prevalent (and every x-ray you don’t need to have is good). Laparoscopy is surgery, should only be used if really indicated. Like every surgery.
@lulu1180 definitely ask for a copy of your protocol and get them to walk you through it. Ask about timing of ordering of meds, if you need to get anything anywhere special, if you need to pre schedule monitoring appointments now (and then move them in case things change), why they selected the protocol, what are their boundary conditions over which they would cancel (number of follies, length of time etc), will they do a progesterone check after IUI, will they call you in for Beta or should you test at home and call. Just off the top of my head.
@nitnat007 hope your wait to see the OB next week goes quickly
@rallykat14 sending all the positive vibes for lots of great eggs and super strong swimmers today!
@kristokekerooni hope your lining check goes super smooth today and you’re all set.
@darkstar42 ooooh this cycle sounds so promising! I have everything crossed for you.
@beachbunnyxo123 no harm to ask about the Benadryl. Though they would probably go for steroids if they really thought there was an issue. Keeping everything crossed for good baseline on Friday!
@oklahomak are they doing a check that you’ve ovulated before you start the progesterone? If not adding in progesterone if you’re not entirely sure which day you Od could throw off your implantation window. Are you with an RE or OB?
@purplg8r so sorry (again) but I’ll keep you company and even if you don’t see me posting here or in the June/July threads feel free to PM anytime

@rallykat14 Thinking of you today! FX for an awesome fert report!
@KristoKekerooni I'm sorry you feel like this FET is just a motion to go through and aren't feeling hopeful about it. And for your eyelashes :-(
@darkstar42 I think that's normal. I've had cramping with some of my IUIs, but not others. When I've had a large number of follies, I notice the bloating more than anything.
@oklahomak Welcome. Are you being monitored? Are you with an RE? I've had all those medications in my protocol with the exception of metformin, but the days I'm on those things might change each cycle depending on my follie development. I've also never started estrace until trigger day.
@purplg8r I'm so sorry for this BFN. Hopefully IVF is the trick and it is your last BFN. But I completely understand that feeling of WTF? We really have to do IVF? Hugs.
@emmasemm FX the polyp goes away! Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations... But I'm really hoping you're not cancelled! Do you think they could do the retrieval and then deal with the polyp later if you do a FET?
@jrm_14 Thanks friend. Good luck today. Let us know how it all goes. @rallykat14 Sending all the positive vibes your way this week. Everything crossed!! @KristoKekerooni Totally agree, which was why it was such a gut punch to hear her say that out loud. Thank you. Appreciate the support. FX for your bw and lining check. So hoping that everything goes well for you. My heart breaks at your hair loss situation. I am so sorry that you are going through that on top of it all. MH has alopecia and has no eyelashes, eyebrows or nose hair. I feel for you and hope it grows back quickly. *hugs* @darkstar42 Not sure what the OB will do yet as it is my initial appointment with him. I am assuming possibly schedule a CT or HSG. I am sort of in the dark honestly. Whatever it is, it will take time. It is not something that will happen the day of, sadly. I am so hopeful for you this cycle! It sounds so promising. @oklahomak Sorry you find yourself here, but welcome! @lin0442 Welcome back. Glad you have had some progress on your journey and hope that your appointment goes well on Friday and you stay on schedule. @purplg8r Acupuncture is great, definitely recommend if it is affordable. My insurance has a certain amount of yearly coverage which is great. But I capped out quickly, which is why I stopped last year. It got pricey without it. Sorry that you are at this point. *hugs* @emmasemm Wow what a roller coaster you have been on! Hope that those follies continue to grow for you and that the polyp does not interfere with the process any further. FX!!
@emmasemm I'm so sorry you are having to deal with that at your clinic. Getting different doctors is so frustrating when they aren't on the same page as your regular, especially about something so important. Have had you had polyps like that before? I'm with an OB, he's one of our state's top OBs for infertility and high risk, but no, I haven't been going in to check for ovulation. In the past (before starting the Femara and Estradiol) he was just having me take Progesterone CDs 18-30 and I would always start the next cycle the day after stopping. But, now that I've added the new prescriptions, I'll go in on CD 16.
@madspunk No, I'm not being monitored, and I'm with an OB. And now I have a ton of questions for you! What was your monitoring like when you were on this protocol? Were your CDs the same for the Femara and the Progesterone? Why not start the Estrace until the trigger shot? My OB wants to do Estradiol CD 10-12 then the Ovidrel trigger shot on CD 16, Progesterone CD 18-30 (and then keep the Progesterone CD 18-30 until the end of the 10th week of pregnancy if it occurs).
@purplg8r So sorry you've reached this point Hugs & positive vibes to you.
@purplg8r , well if it follows the same as last time, I should be scheduling transfer for probably Tuesday? I dunno. I'm anxious to find out!
@beachbunnyxo123 , thanks for making me feel better. I feel so silly. Anyway, intralipids should start tonight! They want it roughly a week before transfer, so sometime in the immediate future! Getting a little nervous.
@AlohaKumu , Thank god! Not that I am happy about your hairloss, but pretty much everyone has said they've never had that issue. I thought I was going crazy! Sad to hear how long it takes though. Hopefully eyelashes are different?
@rallykat14 , Hmm. Did the infusion bother you at all? I heard it burns. How long did you do it? I'm not really nervous too much about the IV. I have zero issues with needles... the only thing that bothers me is that my H is doing it. He's a nurse, so I know he can, but he works mostly with patients that are knocked out or heavily sedated, so I'm not sure how gentle he always is, since his patients don't feel pain, you know?
UGH, @purplg8r , Isn't it such a gut punch when that last, hail Mary treatment before IVF fails? It sucks. Like, every bit of hope clings to that cycle and then you turn around and face IVF. I will say this, IVF looks scarier from the outside than on the inside. Big picture, IVF is a BEAST. But honestly day to day it's really NBD for the most part. You will get through this.
@emmasemm , I am crossing all my fingers and toes that you get to ER. That follie count sounds awesome for what you've been battling. I really hope this all comes to fruition and you are able to extract those babes!

@purplg8r I'm so sorry that IVF is in your future. I can tell you it isn't as bad as it seems. It is overwhelming and emotional but you've already been through a lot ...you'll look back and think wow, it really wasn't as bad. (It still sucks). I have an intense fear of needles and said never ever. 100+ injections later it is just what has to be done. I still dread it and can't give myself a shot. I've loved this break from meds and dread starting again but this has become the norm. Send me a message if you need ANYTHING!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): this cycle was just timing no help with treatment, I have done one round of clomid that obviously did not work
How are things going?: Frustratingly, I have been battling hpv for a long time I have had 3 LEEPs so far I had my first clomid round in January and the doctors then said I needed a follow up after my most recent LEEP before doing another round. Well it turns out I need another leep so I have to wait until after that to continue with clomid . I think they said they wanted to try 3 or 4 clomid cycles before moving on to a iui Any questions?: no

@emmasemm I soooo hope you don’t get cancelled! As for a polyp, does it affect anything? (I feel like that’s a dumb question but I don’t know much about them. )
@rallykat14 I feel so nervous for you! Waiting sucks. I’m keeping FX for you so hard! (And unfortunately H works nights so I’ll be mixing and doing my own injections. Right now I’ve gotten ok with the triggers I’ve had to do but I’m scared of the burn of menopur and eventually PIO)
@purplg8r menopur burns but I sort of feel like if you can give yourself injections then it won't be so bad. PIO is annoying, especially after it builds up but you will be a rock star and it won't be bad at all!

@KristoKekerooni that’s great news!!! I will be thinking of you! Did you start your PIO tonight?
@rallykat14 that’s great news! Will you get a fert report tomorrow?
@purplg8r you totally got this! I promise you none of it was as bad as I thought. This is probably not the safest thing, but my second IVF cycle I was doing my MDL injection on my way to work while I was driving. PIO is the worst of them all but even it isn’t that bad. You can do it. The burn only lasts a few moments, also always make sure there’s none on your skin after cause that will burn too.
Spoke to my my nurse today, biopsy results are back. I have chronic endometritis. They started me on doxycycline tonight and I’ll be on it for the next 3 weeks twice daily until my transfer. I also talked to my doctor about adding the Benadryl to my FET protocol and he is fine with it and said the antihistamine effect is good for immune response. He said they don’t always rush to add it to protocol but since i asked he is totally fine with it and said it can’t hurt to add. Now I wait until baseline Friday.
Hi ladies!!! After an extra long weekend, I can finally catch up!
@jrm_14 Ugh, I'm sorry girl! Before I started my IUIs, my doc did a hysteroscopy and HSG. With that being said, they had a little "checklist" of items that needed to be done prior to IVF and they were both on the list, along with a recent pap, certain bloodwork, etc... Good luck!!! You got this, we're here for you!
@lulu1180 I'm anxious for July for you!! I think @emmasemm covered all of the questioning I'd have. The whole IUI process is a lot of hurry up and wait! You may have appts every other day, or some even back to back as it gets closer just to watch your levels and size of your follie(s). Shit tomorrow is June already! Not much longer! Will you call them at the start of your cycle closest to early July?
@nitnat007 Ugh I'm sorry about that comment from your mom. I feel like my mom was the opposite and just didn't get it. I think she was more in denial than me about needing to jump through the hoops we've had to jump through. I hope you can get some answers soon!
@KristoKekerooni !!!!!!!! Good luck!!!! I'll be thinking of you guys
@darkstar42 ah FX so hard for you guys this cycle!!! I'd imagine a little extra cramping is to be expected with more follies, I don't know for a fact, but it does make sense to me. Do you have a beta date, or do you just test at home?
@beachbunnyxo123 I'm pumped that you're ready to move forward!! My baseline appt is tomorrow too! Still hoping we're ready to move forward as well...ugh...
@purplg8r you can totally do this, girl!!! Menopur was the first shot I gave to myself, it did kind of suck to give myself a shot and give myself a shot that kind of stung, but it's over and stops stinging quickly.
I wish I had more time this morning to catch up but since I had a few days off, apparently I have a lot of work to catch up on instead
AFM - My update for this week is kind of a lack of an update. No results from my biopsy last week. Yesterday was CD1, so I called and made a baseline appt for tomorrow and they said that they should have my results by then *eyeroll* Hopefully we will be doing an FET around the 19th as long as everything looks ok, or at least pretty damn close to ok.
Re: IF Testing and Treatment week of 5/28
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO-CD2

Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, low morph, testing
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle?
@nitnat007 I am astill try that your doctor said that. Regardless of her likely lack of expertise in IF, it is so awful to hear that. Hugs, friend.

@jrm_14 I felt the same way the IUI cycle I only had one follie, but those BFNs still suck. Sending you many hugs, friend. What are you growing in your garden?
@lulu1180 Sorry your body isn’t cooperating. I’d ask the RE more details about the drug protocol. Why clomid vs. letrozole? Why that dosage? When will monitoring be, given that you have unpredictable O dates? How many follies are they looking for? At what point would they cancel a cycle?
@nitnat007 Sorry for the crappy comments from your mother. What will the OB be doing/testing for? Enjoy your acupuncture!
@rallykat14 Oh, the ER is so soon! Fx so hard that things work out this time. We’re all rooting for you!
@KristoKekerooni Fx the bw and lining check all looks good. You don’t have to feel hopeful to go through with this transfer. We’re all over here hoping like crazy that it’ll work. Floating down the river sounds glorious! What a great way to relax and have fun.

They were right on the money about the ER being on the 30th!

anyone know anything about Benedryl as a part of FET protocol? I was thinking of asking my doc about this
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity?
beach and he boardwalk
Also, I haven't heard of specifically using Benedryl, but it couldn't hurt. It's safe to take. I could see how the antihistimine could suppress the immune system. IT also probably helps your lining, much the same as Mucinex does.

@darkstar42 fx for you!!
@beachbunnyxo123 6/20! Let the countdown begin!!
@oklahomak @lin0442 welcome! (Although I’m sorry you have to be here)
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): wfaf
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): bcp before starting stims
How are things going?: ehhh. Been sick to my stomach since Saturday. Got a bfn yesterday and started spotting today so I guess we’ll be doing IVF. I had a feeling we’d get to this point but it really does suck.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What's your favorite summer hobby or activity? Sleeping in and being lazy since it’s my summer break

@purplg8r ugh I’m so sorry that you’re at this point friend. All the hugs.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO - CD7, day 5 of stims

Fav Quote: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return
@rallykat14 Sending all the positive vibes your way this week. Everything crossed!!
@KristoKekerooni Totally agree, which was why it was such a gut punch to hear her say that out loud. Thank you. Appreciate the support. FX for your bw and lining check. So hoping that everything goes well for you. My heart breaks at your hair loss situation. I am so sorry that you are going through that on top of it all. MH has alopecia and has no eyelashes, eyebrows or nose hair. I feel for you and hope it grows back quickly. *hugs*
@darkstar42 Not sure what the OB will do yet as it is my initial appointment with him.
*hugs*
@emmasemm Wow what a roller coaster you have been on! Hope that those follies continue to grow for you and that the polyp does not interfere with the process any further. FX!!
@beachbunnyxo123 , thanks for making me feel better. I feel so silly. Anyway, intralipids should start tonight! They want it roughly a week before transfer, so sometime in the immediate future! Getting a little nervous.
Thanks for all the love and well wishes @emmasemm , @nitnat007 , etc.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): this cycle was just timing no help with treatment, I have done one round of clomid that obviously did not work
How are things going?:
Frustratingly, I have been battling hpv for a long time I have had 3 LEEPs so far I had my first clomid round in January and the doctors then said I needed a follow up after my most recent LEEP before doing another round. Well it turns out I need another leep so I have to wait until after that to continue with clomid . I think they said they wanted to try 3 or 4 clomid cycles before moving on to a iui
Any questions?: no

@rallykat14 I feel so nervous for you! Waiting sucks. I’m keeping FX for you so hard! (And unfortunately H works nights so I’ll be mixing and doing my own injections. Right now I’ve gotten ok with the triggers I’ve had to do but I’m scared of the burn of menopur and eventually PIO)

@rallykat14 Hoping for amazing news from you!!!
Yesterday was CD1, so I called and made a baseline appt for tomorrow and they said that they should have my results by then *eyeroll*
Hopefully we will be doing an FET around the 19th as long as everything looks ok, or at least pretty damn close to ok.
