@kristimh80 I think I recognize your username from other threads. Did you do an IVF cycle last summer? I did my first round in August of last year... I feel like we've chatted before! Super pumped to have a cycle buddy this time around!
@laurengon82 sorry to hear about your losses. Sucks. A lot. I'm really struggling with this one. I think jumping into a FET right away is going to help me move on, but it's been a rough week!
@megmac2010 Your name looks super familiar too! I didn't do my IVF last Summer...I was still thinking IUI's maybe the answer! For sure...cycle buddies are nice to have !

I started lupron last Thursday!! Ekkkkk... and so it begins!
Anyone have any recommendations for itchy PIO? I stopped at least a month ago yet my booty still itches time to time and I have these huge marks that look like bruises but did not hurt to touch. I'm nervous about starting again especially since I already got my meds delivered and it's the same formula as last FET.
@beachbunnyxo123 Doing good here! I started Lupron on Wednesday too. Tomorrow is my last day of the bcp and baseline is scheduled for may 30th!
@lysslyss21 I have heard of other people saying that it was itchy, but I don’t remember what they said they did for it. It didn’t bother me. Maybe your re can switch your oil?
@beachbunnyxo123 How'd your biopsy go? I have my ERA biopsy the first week of June. I keep telling myself it's no big deal.
@lysslyss21 I wish I had advice on the PIO situation...mine was the same way until the little red injection dots from it finally disappeared.

So I finally get to hop on this train officially. Long story short with some possible triggers:
TW loss and child mentioned I went through IVF the first time 3 years ago. Was one of the lucky ones whwrwit worked right off the bat and resulted in twin boys. Lost one twin right before he turned two, did a second transfer and it again worked but had genetic issues so pregnancy didn't get past first trimester. Went through 2 more ER and that resulted in only one embryo frozen. So my Dr, who is the best Dr alive btw, is giving me a donated embryo for free to transfer with the one I have. END TW
I am on BCP right now and will take my last pill June 5th. Likely transfer date will be within the range of the 24-30th ish depending on when I start af after stopping the BCP. Did saline ultrasound today and everything looked good. When my Dr said he is going to give me one embryo I literally had to stop so my brain could understand what he just said, then my response was "I love you" lol. I was prepared to ask about embryo adoption going into this appointment but he jumped on that train before I could even get the words out. These last several months have been really hard and to finally feel like we get to catch a break is just awesome. I can't wait to see all of us successful!

@mandurz I feel you! I just found out this morning that my 2 little embryos from retrieval made it through bioposy and freeze. countdown to PGS results in 1 week. Im so happy and hope that they come back normal so I can start FET with you ladies in June.
@Kristenh80 I have been thinking about the ERA and I'm too impatient! Unless the Dr. pushes it, I'm going to pass. I talked to the nurse and told her my thoughts about passing on the receptivity test. The nurse told me that since I've never had a failed transfer or loss so she thinks it is a little premature in her opinion. They've probably done tens of thousands of sucessful transfers over the last 20 years without ERA so Id like to try without it first! I am ready to graduate to my first transfer and 5 months of back to back Stims. Praying for a positive report so I can official join you ladies!
@sunny_side That's awesome! I have had a failed FET and only have 1 embryo left, so I pushed for the ERA to be 100% sure all bases were covered as I know other girls that needed changes to their progestrone window If I were are lucky as you, then I wouldn't bother either

@mandurz You take meds and follow the timeline like you were going to do a FET that month, but on your FET day, they do a biopsy of your uterine lining instead. Then it's sent off to a lab for testing and can tell you if your lining is receptive or you need more / less progestrone for uterus to be ready for an embryo to inplant.

@kristimh80 Too funny. Sorry...I guess that may have come across as braggin but reality is the reason i haven't had any failed FETS is because my Stim cycles usually fail or end up with Zero eggs retrieved so I can never make it to FET! @sunny_side definitely hope you have some PGS normals in there.
@kristimh80 thanks for the info. I guess he never mentioned it because I haven't had an issue with implantation, just keeping the baby growing (really not anything we could have done anyway).
Had my psych eval today for the embroy adoption. Even though he is giving it for free we still needed to meet with the psychologist. He really just wanted to make sure we were emotionally and mentally prepared to accept a baby that is not genetically ours as our own baby. I told him, the baby will be growing in my uterus for 9+ months....that will without a doubt be my baby. We talked a lot about our losses and he asked if I was sleeping ok or had anxiety. I was honest and told him I do have ptsd flashes of the moment I realized my son was long gone and there was nothing I could do, but have good techniques to stop the flashback. In the end he said he was comfortable with us moving forward and he could feel the love and passion between us. Oh and after we sat and talked with him, I asked my nurse about timeline and she said as long as all appointments go well then transfer will be on june 27th. She asked how we feel about that and told her I loved it because that was the original date we chose to get married before we changed to January. So I will take it as a good luck day. So super excited now that we have a more official date.

Hi ladies! I'm preparing for my first FET in June. It's been a long road to get here. A little bit about my journey... first IVF cycle was in June 2017 - ended in CP; second IVF cycle - nothing to freeze; third IVF cycle in March 2018 - currently have 3 in the freezer.
Good luck to all and looking forward to seeing where this goes for us all!
Hi everyone! I'd love to join you all - my second FET will be on June 19th. A bit about me:
**TW: loss and child mentioned** Got married in 2011 but couldn't start TTC until 2014 because I was finishing treatment for breast cancer. Conceived spontaneously in 2015 but m/c at 9 weeks. After that, tried on our own without success for 1.5 years then had 2 failed IUIs and IVF #1 with failed fresh SET transfer in 2016. FET #1 in 10/16 of 2 blasts was successful and we have a singleton. We have 2 remaining 6-day blasts which are not PGS tested. I'll turn 37 not long after this upcoming FET.
**End TW**
Just doing suppression with estrogen patches as I get migraines from Lupron, so FET is pretty straightforward and not too bad for me! I think the fact our blast is not PGS tested makes me much more worried, because there's a double concern of will it stick and is it viable. No way to know so just hoping for the best! Good luck to everyone and I'm happy to have others to go on this journey with

@chamomile-2 I will also be doing vivelle patches and PIO. I'll be doing daily PIO IM injections. Have you done PIO before? Just curious if you are or anyone on this board used ice to numb before and/or heat afterwards. Let me know.
Hello ladies I am switching over from the May IVF as I had a freeze all cycle. This is my first FET or IVF for that matter. I have done 4 IUIs.
I had my my egg retrieval last Sunday, 19 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 8 fertilized me fpund out today 4 made it to day 6 freeze. My next step is to call when I get my period and hoping for FET mid June.
Looking forward to riding this crazy roller coaster with you all
@mandapanda1421I've done PIO on a few cycles before. Never used ice to numb it because I was told that would keep the oil around longer and be harder to absorb, but I always used a heated rice sock to massage the area afterwards and help the oil really get in .
As for me, it's been a minute since I logged in here! I'm doing my lupron depot shot on Tuesday, hopefully getting my period around june 4th and off we go. Honestly, I'm kind of terrified. I'm going to be on more drugs than I've ever been on, and after my FET fiasaco at the beginning of the year (several failed cycles, cancelled cycle for lining, hysteroscopy, hospitalization for infection from pio injections, etc), I'm finally feeling back to my normal, non-bloated, non-sick, non-emotional self. I want a baby more than anything, but I realized how much I missed the non-medicated me that I haven't gotten to be in some time. Anyways, hoping for less side effects this time around!

Afm I have had spotting since fri. I called and left my nurse a vm but with the holiday weekend I haven't heard from her yet. I don't think it's really anything to be too concerned with but I would hate to not tell her and it cause a delay with the transfer. At least I can say it is definitely not a full flow. It's annoying having spotting on the bcp for sure but I guess it happens.

@mandurz You should be good...birth control hormones can just be annoying pests. I believe I had spotting on BC as well leading up to my retrieval. Surely, as soon as you start your estrogen it'll all go away. Seems like the minute I start estrogen during AF of my cycle, it always stop my period right away.

So super excited now that we have a more official date.

i'm so excited to hear you're moving forward again @mandurz. I'm glad you felt confident to speak to your RE about options after your last IVF cycle. That's amazing that you're RE was so generous to give you an embryo. Also happy to hear that the psych eval went well and the transfer date is meaningful. will be following along... only one month to go!

**TW: loss and child mentioned**
Got married in 2011 but couldn't start TTC until 2014 because I was finishing treatment for breast cancer.

@MSU_Girl1202 thanks for the tips. I've only done one IM trigger in the past and the needle didn't really bother me, so I'm not sure if I'll even need to numb with ice. Hopefully it stays that way (even with the daily IM injections) and I can just do some heat afterwards.
I'm headed to my sonohystogram in a few minutes. I know it's not a big deal, but I'm so tired of people poking at my bits! This crap is exhausting!
