UGH you Guys I’m sick! Allergies and asthma(I’ve had it my whole life)  I was prescribed some inhalers(advair and pro air), singular and cough medicine. The inhalers I’ve discuss with my nurse before and they are not an issue but I’m not sure about the cough medicine and allergy meds. My guess is since my transfer is still 10 days away it shouldn’t be an issued anyone else have any input I’m all ears.
I’m sorry your sick lady! Speaking from someone with bad asthma I take singular and Allegra 24 every single day of the year and have an inhailer and all are safe now through pregnancy. Now I don’t take advair - the steroids anymore but as far as allergy those are safe. Now the cough I thought wasn’t safe? I could be wrong I know all decongestants are bad which is why they made me stop taking anything with the D in it.

  • @funkykey my dh loves to fish also.  It’s just starting to warm up where we live so he’ll be trying to go soon.  I’ve never gone with.  He usually goes with his buddies!  I usually try to get him to go really early morning when it’s still dark out so we have the rest of the day to enjoy!

@ndz2018 hope you get better soon!
  • Thanks, Everyone!

I lost a pregnancy (I was four months) in January. I really really wanted to be pregnant again before my due date, and I am so relieved that it happened. It's been really hard holding it together, and while I know that the week of my original due date will still be really awful, now I feel like I will get through it.
  • Holy cow @morganelizabeth123 that’s so awful and traumatic I can’t even imagine. I’m so happy this is happening for you and hopefully this is a much better experience for you. That day will come and you will be emotional but hopefully tears of joy that god sent you someone in his or her place. Good luck lady

  • @kristimh80 - we're from up north. Right now, his focus is on "tidal waters fishing" - so like, shellfish. It's more trapping than anything else, unfortunately for me. Bait, trap, wait a day, check, repeat. He likes to start as early as he can, and he switches between different kinds of fishing during the season.
    ....
    Yep.
  • @morganelizabeth123 does that mean what I think it means??? Positive beta?!?
  • @funkykey Silver lining...you don't have to sit all day on a boat waiting in quiet :) But I get it...my husband likes to do everything on the weekends with me as well since he's out of town a lot. Usually,  just do them because the thought of shopping on a weekend makes me cringe as well :)

    @dragonette505. Woohooo! That’s awesome!!
  • @dragonette505 it means this embryo is not messing around! What is your due date?

I don't know if @dragonette505 remembers, but we were in a small ivf board together last October. I had no clue what I was doing and she gave me a list of questions I could ask my doctor. It was amazing. While I was sorry to see us both still struggling I was relieved to see a familiar face when I got to this board. So I was thinking, should we add a field to the spreadsheet for where we are going next? Some of us will be going to May or June FET or IVF boards and some will be going to December or January baby boards.

I'm undecided about where to go. The dr hasn't given me a due date, but according to calculators it's Jan 1st. Last time I was also due very early in the month and so I always felt like I was already passed whatever the group was talking about. I may pick December so I can be a bit behind instead of way ahead.
  • @morganelizabeth123 I do remember we’ve been on a board together (love your screen name!) but don’t remember giving you a list..... but I 100% believe I gave you a list because I love lists!!! Lolol
i haven’t had the nerve to look at my possible due date so far (but I will!) but I guess I always figured I’d be in January?
once you get to the bmb’s there ends up being a ton of ppl who are at the same place (but we just never saw them post before).
i think adding where we are headed is a lovely idea!!!!
  • dragonette505 lol! Your definitely due in Jan if that calculator thing is right. Mine says Jan 3 which for me will probably be mid December. So I am still POAS daily to make sure it's still there. I got a big fast question mark this am wit a stupid old digital. So broke the sucker open and then it turned to pregnant. Let's pray that thing isn't jacked. I need to fast forward to Tuesday. My house is dropping like flies from germs. I was home sick wed and last night up till 1 with a sick kid. Off to the doc at 9 wooo! I need to get through this last damn shower this weekend.

  • @dragonette505 -  congratulations!!! Exciting!!!!
  • funkykey  I'm trying to be happy today... especially since I spent Wednesday sobbing and telling my dh it didn't work
  • So I took another HPT today. Still a stark white. Ugh.

Obviously I'm going to keep medicating until the beta, but I'm trying to figure out the plan for after beta day. I'm not hopeful about these results.

As expected, there's a part of me that's really angry at the universe. I keep thinking about my diagnosis and situation and just thinking: "how have I done this much and am still not KU-ed?" I feel a little like a medical anomaly, in a bad way. I'm jealous of the medical miracles out there- the good anomalies. Like those women who just get pregnant after doing an IVF cycle but before they transfer.

Another part of me isn't thinking about justice or fairness or anything like that. I'm just thinking about the statistics and trying to figure out if we can pay for another round of IVF and when. And I'm thinking about what's right for me and this journey.

Sooo yeah. I mean, maybe I will be surprised on Monday, but it is NOT looking good. No good news from me today.
  • Lurking....

@dragonette505 congrats!!! So happy for you!!! FX for a strong beta!!

@mcgeeva yes, my butt was itchy the first few weeks of PIO. I even had mosquito like bites on top of it. I’m not sure what helped it go away. But it did go away after few weeks of injections.

  • funkykey  Ugh... unexplained is the worst... I always think that's obviously not real. It just means they haven't found the reason yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you for Monday!
    prudence9-2  Thanks.... So nervous!!
  • @dragonette505 Yay!! Stay positive and enjoy it all! <3

@funkykey You're not out until beta says so! So try to keep your spirits up. I know it's very difficult...everything you have said about this whole thing is EXACTLY how I've felt lately! But you still have a chance and aren't out of the game :) How many snowbabies do you have left? We have 1, so why I'm doing an ERA cycle next so know that my FET day is correct. If you have to figure out a plan, maybe it's something you can bring up to you doctor as well? There's a 20% chance that a lot of women are doing FET on the wrong day and need extra progesterone or less. I pray you don't have to worry about that though. But thought I'd throw it out there. I know, for me, having a "plan" helped me a lot. Sending lots of hugs!!! <3<3<3

  • AFM – Do you also have this feeling that you can call your nurse to tell her your right ear just fell off your head and you can picture her rolling her eyes and then she is like…”that is normal” let’s wait until your BETA…uggghhh

So this is why I called….Last night about 3.00 am I woke up with a lower back pain and cramps, very much like the kind of pain I had during the MC, of course not as intense but still strong enough to wake me up.  I have had no spotting and I know today is 2DP5DT but supposedly its implantation time already.  Last time I had very very mild cramping and no lower back pain during implantation.  Has anyone experienced something similar and got a BFP? I haven’t HPT yet, and I am not planning on doing it until Monday, which would be 5DP5DT (not that I don’t want to, but I KNOW it will be BPN and also I already marked all 10 HPT with dates and my OCD wouldn’t let me open one on a different date).

  • kristimh80  I'm the same way... I try to have the next plan up and running because it helps me not fall apart.
  • mama2b1974  I hate to tell you but that is a classic post transfer experience.. both with the nurse and with the cramping. The first days after transfer (both times) I woke at weird times with cramping and insomnia. I had more cramping last fet but what you are saying sounds like what ive read and what ive experienced.
  • funkykey  I'm trying to be happy today... especially since I spent Wednesday sobbing and telling my dh it didn't work
Enjoy this time!!! You have worked so, so hard for this! And been through so much! Keeping FX for your beta!.. But yeah, I have been there. IF is my least favourite roller coaster.

And yes, unexplained sucks. I often have to remind DH of that - that something is wrong, they just can't explain it yet. But it is a weird mental trip to constantly have "excellent" test results, for everything to be graded well, and to still struggle. Unexplained feels insidious - like this diagnosis creeping in the shadows. My RE reminds me that "unexplained" can also mean that nothing "major" is preventing us from conceiving, but I'm getting to a point now where I'm like: "Well, if that's true, why aren't we pregnant, Einstein?"

I also often feel that, because we don't have a concrete diagnosis and so many of our test results come back great, my clinic isn't as aggressive with the treatments as they could be. Because of my age and because of our diagnosis, we were TTC for the year before being considered "infertile" and then spent 6+ months doing IUIs, and sometimes I look back on that time and I wish we could have saved ourselves a year of that. But then, hindsight is 20/20.

@mamab1974 - thank you for the kind words. :)

@kristimh80 - we did an ERA last cycle. $1500 to find out that again, there was nothing abnormal and I was responding as expected to the medication.

We have one embie left, but if this transfer turns out to be an official fail, that will be my third. I might take a couple of months off to recoup.
  • @funkykey Awe I didn't know :( Even if our ERA comes back normal...we are still struggling with the idea of doing any ER or go ahead and transfer our last one as well. This whole process can be so cruel. Praying for you that this cycle works and your mind can be happy and free from all the stress <3
