funkykey absolutely! I know to people on the outside, unexplained just sounds like maybe random bad luck, but there is always something going on when things don't go right. A lot of ppl with unexplained end up having some sort of autoimmune issue... theres a girl I know on youtube who has gone round the bend with trying to figure out whats wrong (first they thought it was her tubes, but it wasn't)... after several years shes finally found out she has elevated natural killer cells and something else (cant remember). But because she is young and all her other stuff looked good they just kept telling her she was unlucky. (Tim and Celeste). And shes finally getting treated.
@funkykey hang in there it's still early! Not having a pint point of the issue is tough bc you don't know the cause. Hopefully between this cycle and if you need your last embie that will be it. But again it's still early wait for your blood test!

funkykey absolutely! I know to people on the outside, unexplained just sounds like maybe random bad luck, but there is always something going on when things don't go right. You know, it's funny. I took the HPT because I woke up with kind of that hot flash, feeling feverish. And I thought: "That's probably my immune system killing the embie." Because I've had them before, the feverish episodes after a transfer, or even once-in-a-while when we were TTC. I brushed the thought off quickly, but I did have it.
Plus, the actual only irregular result I've had in my testing is immune-related. I have some antibody in my blood that everyone says does nothing, but I keep thinking: "Well, why is it there? What's going on with my immune system?" And I never get sick. Ever. Everyone at my work will be out with the flu, and I'm fine, still coming in to work. I can't remember the last time I was sick enough to miss work, apart from IF-related procedures.
I talked to my RE about some of the immune-related treatments, and he's open to them. I'm actually thinking we might do one more round of IVF, hopefully get some embies ready, and then we'll try transferring while I'm on blood thinners, steroids, and a few other things. He has a whole protocol to suppress the immune system. It's obviously more experimental, but I figure we might as well give it a shot. Maybe our RE can use us in a study.
Of course, hopefully I'm wrong about all of this, and on Monday I will get something on my beta. And then I will happily eat my hat. Otherwise, Prednisone, here I come!
@funkykey I am also hoping for you!! I also get those hot flashes after transfer (but I also have several autoimmune conditions) . @dragonette505 Wohoo! Always exciting when you can turn a digi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@funkykey Ugh, I'm sorry - stark white HPTs are horrible. How many dpt are you? You're definitely not out yet, but I totally get wanting to be realistic about things. I've been a basket case yesterday and today. I was all hopeful in the beginning, and then as usual, the longer the TWW goes on the worse I feel. I have had this pit in my stomach all day thinking about what's going to happen if this FET fails. I want a lap, but I fear the delay of having to wait for the surgery and then wait for recovery is just going to put a stop to TTC and it will be over for me. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw up. I hate that we've both gotten to the point of potentially 3 failed transfers. It sucks to be in that camp. I'm still holding out hope for your beta. FX!
AFM, I'm a total idiot. I have two brands of internet cheapies at home. I didn't realize I only had two tests left of the 10 mIU/ml sensitivity ones and used them wed and thurs to test out the trigger. Trigger usually shows until 11-13 dptrigger for me. The line was just a shadow wed and thurs (10 and 11 days past trigger)...totally not visible to an untrained eye. Today I went to test and I only have the other brand left which is 20mIU/ml sensitivity. A faint line showed up (12 days past trigger). I went online and saw that people reviewed the cheapies and said they were way more sensitive than the manufacturer says and were picking up hcg levels a lot less than 20. I tested again when I got home from work and the line is about the same faintness. Ugh. So, I bet it's still the trigger. I guess I'll have to test for a couple of more days in a row to see if there are any changes. Note to self (and everyone else): Use the same brand of test if you want to compare progression!!!!

@tosh24 my batch of cheapies were awful this time... normally they are the most sensitive and that’s what I start with, but this time they are barely registering a line! I am barely getting a line on my wondfos while turning a digi! I never thought my wondfos would let me down most ppl get the trigger out between 10-12 days (but I’ve read there are some special unicorns who go to 15 days post trigger!) Last year I never got a fully negative trigger because the line started getting darker again. At this point you should just keep testing with the new batch and see if it ever gets negative or if it does what mine did last year.
checking in on you ladies from the May FET board -- so much happening with y'all!
congrats to the HPT+ ladies... my fingers are crossed for rising betas and truly uneventful monitoring. and yet, understand that each check up is a milestone and appreciate any continued worry that you may have.
i'm so sorry to hear about your CP @laurengon82. it's so hard to get this far and have a glimmer of hope to have it be yanked away. my thoughts are with you. do you think you'll go immediately into another cycle or take some time off? i forget if you had any embryos banked. either way, we all feel your pain.
@tosh24 how many day's past transfer are you? 7, right? it could be from legit HCG. my fingers are crossed so hard that it's not the trigger and it's from a burrowing embryo. i saw that you still have several days until beta... i'm anxious for you! i can understand your worry if this cycle fails... and running through the next possible steps seems overwhelming but also a source of anger / frustration. i'm hoping so hard for you.
same to you, @funkykey. i'm sorry that your HPT suggested a BFN. do you still have another embryo to transfer, or is it back to the crossroads of what's next?
@northbeach3 I have 2 embryos left. I know I won’t be able to do another cycle until late June or July depending on what week my clinic does ivf. When I had the last one in February the re said I had to have 2 AF’s before I could do another transfer. I’m scared to hear what he is going to say after having two in a row.
So little worried my boobs no longer hurt just cramps so hopefully this isn’t cp.

@mcgeeva I seem to fluctuate with symptoms too, and I always feel this exact same way. Try not to stress because at this point it’s normal to not have consistent symptoms. I feel pretty normal with moments here and there where I feel symptoms. I’m just keeping on testing and seeing if lines keep progressing

Definitely not the trigger anymore. Tests are getting darker, albeit slowly, which is freaking me out. Wish I could have just had a way more obvious change. This shit is not for the birds. Cheapies are 6dpt, 7dpt, and 8 dpt. Definitely feeling more symptoms every day. Been nauseated and have had no appetite for the last few days, my boobs are going through some changes, and they are starting to get tender. Oh, and cramping on and off basically since transfer. I also feel like someone has kicked me in the vag/cervix. I am so scared about having another loss. Who's to say this time it's going to work out? Thank God I have an appointment with my therapist tomorrow.....beta is Tuesday.
Oh, and I love how you're all rebels and added HPT pics. You ladies are my kind of people

I barely slept last night, my mind and heart have been racing for the past 3 days. It's total anxiety overload. Deets in the spoiler:
*TW*
Definitely feeling more symptoms every day. Been nauseated and have had no appetite for the last few days, my boobs are going through some changes, and they are starting to get tender. Oh, and cramping on and off basically since transfer. I also feel like someone has kicked me in the vag/cervix. I am so scared about having another loss. Who's to say this time it's going to work out? Thank God I have an appointment with my therapist tomorrow.....beta is Tuesday.
Oh, and I love how you're all rebels and added HPT pics. You ladies are my kind of people

yay @tosh24!! I think for an every day change it’s getting darker just plenty! Think about hcg doubling every 2 days — the 6 and 8 are significantly different! Congratulations!!!

I had my bloodwork done about 1.5 hours ago. She said she would call in 2-3 hours. I’m just waiting....waiting...waiting.
Congrats @tosh24 and @dragonette505!
@funkykey sorry about the white HPTs. You guys may be onto something with the autoimmune theory.
@laurengon82 How are you doing / feeling? Thought I'd check in...hope everything is getting better for you!
