Hi Everyone!! I am new to the bump and wanted to introduce myself. I am Luisa from NJ, I had my positive test April 9th and my due date should be December 20th!! I also unfortunately had a MC in early Jan 2018, waited 2 cycles, tried and here I am. 6 weeks!!! Can't help but feel so nervous and scared to get too excited. 2 more weeks til my scan ans 1st appointment....the anxiety is killing me. Hoping for the best!!! Wishing you guys all the very best!!! ❤
Hello! I barely remember how this all works, not the baby part!
I had a whole thing typed out and then it only posted the first line...
Anyways, I am Laura from Pennsylvania. We just found out today but It’s super early for us. We have had trouble trying to convince for the last five years with only one successful pregnancy. Normally I wouldn’t post so soon but decided to log on to read everyone else posts in hopes to build some excitement and not focus on my anxiety!! It totally worked!! (Especially loved reading the first time mommies post!!)
I've been hesitating to introduce myself here but I am avoiding working now on this rainy Friday afternoon so why not. I'm Liz and I'm a FTM (excluding my fur babies!)
**TW miscarriage**
My H and I began trying for our first in September and had a chemical pregnancy in late December. I never got my period after that and had a positive pregnancy test on February 9th. My doctor suspected the pregnancy was ectopic at my first appointment on February 27th and after some more tests and a day in the ER, it was determined to be a missed miscarriage and I had a D&C on March 8th. My doctor recommended waiting one cycle to start to try again but after a relaxing vacation I didn't feel quite myself and sure enough, BFP on April 17th. I had bloodwork done the next day and the doctor was happy with my HCG levels (thinking about 6 weeks along then) so my first appointment is scheduled for May 2nd. I am so excited but also so anxious and really hoping all is well at my appointment on Tuesday.
Hi everyone! Jamie - FTM here - have been lurking for a little bit today and wasn't going to post right away but figured why not! My husband and I have been ttc for about two years now and seeing an RE for almost a year and a half (I'm 37 so we started seeing one a little earlier than usual). We were saving to start IVF in September after a number of failed IUI's and SURPRISE! BFP last weekend! (also my birthday weekend, talk about a birthday surprise!). We were ecstatic but a bit cautious as well (still are!) due to how long we've been trying and *trigger warning* a few very early chemical pregancies *end trigger warning*. But my first beta came back strong at 521 and this morning we had our first US dating the pregnancy at 4 weeks 5 days and a second beta of 2707!! We have another US next week where we will hopefully see a little more than a tiny dot (but omg that tiny dot was the most beautiful thing ever lol). So here's hoping I get to stay on this board for the next 9 months and things continue to go well with the pregnancy!!!
@LLynde5 I'm also from PA!! Northeast region (outside Philly)
Hello! Introducing myself here even though I’m already way overwhelmed by all the activity here.

Hey! I'm 30 and this will be my 2nd. My son is almost 18 months old, and I was in the November '16 group. I am due Dec 29th but last time I was induced at 41+2, so I'm actually wondering if I should just go in the January group if it exists yet. (?)
@whaat Okay, for starters you officially have the best username + picture combo. The cartoon that your image is from gave me life when I went 11 days overdue my last pregnancy.
Secondly stay heeeeere. My last EDD was Dec 29 so it's a little personal to me

Hey All, I'm here from Canada. We just had the very first ultrasound today to see our 7 weeks old baby. All my family (except spouse) lives overseas, so I need you guys to not feel alone with this secret. We moved within Toronto GTA last weekend, I don't know anyone around this neighborhood. I will wait to share the pregnancy at work but I may skype my parents this weekend with the news.
Hi All! I am 6 weeks an 1 day today! The last 2 Weeks have been crazy!! Edd is 12/21. I am SO excited about a Christmas Baby! This is my first. We only tried for 2 month and I did not expect to get pregnant so fast. Now I am impatiently waiting for week 9 for the ultrasound to get a sign of life from my baby

Hello everybody . I am from Canada ( well , not originally ) . I have an almost 3 year old daughter . Very happy about this pregnancy . Not sure what would be my due date , need an ultrasound to clerify that ,- but sometime at the end of December .
Hey everyone! I’ve been lurking for a few weeks now but just had my first ultrasound on Friday so figured I would finally introduce myself! I’m 26 and my husband is 29. I got my BFP on March 25th. This is my first pregnancy and we found out at the ultrasound that we are expecting fraternal twins! They run in my family so it wasn’t a total surprise but still pretty shocking lol. We are still processing the news but so so excited! We also have a 3yo chocolate lab and just got another one lol.
Hey there! So about two weeks ago my 2.5 yr Old DD rubbed my tummy and said baby brother. So here I am two BFPs later! I'm not sure how far along I am but my first Dr visit is may 10th! Super stoked!
Hi. I’m so happy to be pregnant with my second, EDD is Dec 27. We’ve been trying for nearly two years, and were set to start clomid/iui the next cycle. Feeling really lucky.
We have an almost 4 year old daughter (I hung around the May 2014 board here ages ago) who is super excited to be a big sister. She’s been asking for months if we can have a baby in our house, and peering into my belly button to look at the baby. We haven’t told her yet but she keeps hoping!
@kadeephdCongrats! I got pregnant with my first while on fellowship. Juggling the timing with academics isn’t easy but frankly there’s never a perfect time and you’ll sort out the details.
@Katzalia Thanks! That is what I'm figuring too... there will never be a perfect time. Having a baby while you are looking for a long-term position must have been challenging. My SIL had a baby within two years of starting a tenure-track position, which seems like it must also be hard. May might have been a bit easier than December, but we'll make it work.
I was July BMB for a few weeks too. Welcome to this round, and FX we stick around

@clawbaby1202 Welcome! I just found out we're having twins last Monday! It doesn't run in our family, so still currently in shock over here! Maybe as we get a bit further in we can have a multiples check in
I will be 41 in June and this is my third baby, however my
other "babies" are currently 9 and 11, both boys. I got married last
June and my DH has a daughter who is 11. Initially we were not planning on more
as there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Last month I was late with my
IUD in and it brought up the conversation. Had my IUD removed the day I started
my period on 3/23 and tested positive 4/25. I have my first appt tomorrow
morning.
I'm excited about the new screenings and being AMA,
knowing that everything is ok earlier on will alleviate stress I think. Bonus,
we get to find out the gender earlier!
Hi, I'm new here. Got a positive home test last Monday and blood test was confirmed today! I'm 30 years old and this is my first time being pregnant. Due date December 28.
Hi everyone! I got my BFP a few days ago and am very excited! DH and I have been trying for over a year. We have one DD who is 2.5 (AUG15) and three cats. I am a teacher and DH is a college professor. We live in Texas. I have not been to the doctor yet (next Wednesday) but according to FF my due date is Christmas Day! Congratulations to everyone!
Hi All, I figured it was about time to introduce myself. I am a single mother by choice, and after 7 failed IUIs, I moved to IVF. First round fresh transfer was successful! I had an early dating ultrasound and am due December 20th. I am still struggling with believing this is real.
Hi I’m a STM, had my DS in 2012 and have been trying for about 2 years to get pregnant. 2.0’s EDD is Christmas, but I’m hoping he’ll be a little earlier like his brother because i do have shorter cycles.
Hi all! So I've been primarily lurking for the past month (call me superstitious) but I went to the Dr today and got to see the little nugget, heartbeat and all. Makes me feel much more comfortable introducing myself! This is my second... have 1 little boy who’s 2, almost 3. Super excited for my little Hannukah baby (due Dec 7th).
Hello all! Late intro here. I had it in my head I’d somehow jinx myself if I posted too early?! Had an ultrasound last week so I’m feeling more confident now! Due date is December 6th so I’ll be 9 weeks on Thursday. This is my second pregnancy, I have a daughter who is almost 2.5 years old! Got pregnant our second month trying last time but this time took almost a year. I wasnt super active on here my last pregnancy but I did chime in occasionally! Congrats to all the other Mamas on here!
