@marcus7676 Thanks! Hope your massage turns out awesome and, not that I am wishing this on you but, if you do end up letting some loose, I highly doubt the massage therapist will be in new territory. Fear not!
For those that chimed in on what to clean - thank you! We'll skip the fridge cleaning as our old fridge died so we've only had our new fridge 2 weeks and it's not dirty enough yet. But the oven and microwave are a great idea! I'm thinking a bathroom deep clean will be on the list too.

I tried to get on the Bump on my phone last night (via browser, I don't use the app) and it WOULD NOT log me in. Each time I tried it just sent me back to the log in page, which is stupid because my user name and password are saved there, so it's not like I was typing something new each time. Stupid glitchy Bump.
And then today when I got on via computer it wasn't showing me as logged in or what threads I'd read. I had to click on a thread and suddenly it showed me as logged in and able to comment. So aggravating.

Parenting lesson learned today - if your toddler has a favorite anything always by 2 or even 3 of them or you will spend your morning at home scouring the internet for a simba doll they no longer make to have it overnight shipped to your house while praying your child doesn't realize it's missing first bc your dog is an a$$hole who mauled its face while you were in the shower because apparently his whole heap of toys weren't good enough...ugh
@2589 sorry to hear about your loss Unexpected losses are so tough. In regards to your coworker, I would bring that up to HR. There is no room for disrespect in the workplace and she needs to understand that behavior won't be tolerated.
I woke up to pee at around 11:30 last night, convinced it had to be at least 2 am, and could not go back to sleep. To make a long story short, I ended up thinking about someone I used to work with, which in turn made me think of a song that ended up turning into an earworm which kept me up for the better part of an hour. I just now remembered it, and I cannot stop hearing it.
@kfren I have things like this happen all the time! When I play it back for DH he always says you poor thing, can you never turn off your brain? He is like guys don't think like that. But bless his heart because he says you need more sleep than me because it's a rest for your busy brain...i never complain about this perk of extra sleep time, why would I when DH is on board with it!?
@stephcat421 I've been seriously considering Benadryl lately. It's getting ridiculous. You're lucky YH is all about you getting extra sleep, keep taking advantage!!!
@marcus7676 glad I'm not the only one who made that mistake...ther are 2 on the way to my house as we speak, one to be snuck in with her pile of buddies and one to go up in my closet for the next near disaster
I called this morning and scheduled my birth class/hospital tour in May along with a "baby basics" class and a breastfeeding class. It's starting to feel super real now that this baby is coming kind of soon! Hopefully the classes will be helpful and not a waste of time!
mytinc - I would ask the cleaning person to get the vents/registers and any ceiling fan blades you may have. I HATE dusting and I always forget those places and when I look, oh my, it is embarrassing at the amount of dust built up.
This definitely isn't as nice as someone else doing it like @mytinc - but this weekend DH said he has the itch to do a deep clean but our next few weekends are jammed. BUT he said that if I make a schedule, day by day, room by room he will do it (I would obviously end up helping in some way/shape/form) but it would be the furniture moving, deep clean that is desperately needed.
Finally caught up on this thread. I was just love titting everything because I know I'll miss a tag somewhere. Definitely remembering how much harder it is to keep up when I'm working and can't look at my phone for 8 hours. Super jealous of all of you who can bump at work!

work decided to have a little shower/lunch for me on the 19th. it'll probably be 15-20 people at the very very most. they asked for a registry... nope, second kid, second boy. so she asked what we could use so she could put it in the email. I told her diapers/wipes are ALWAYS good and summer clothes since ds was an oct baby?
I'm now thinking that was a bad idea. I hope they lean towards the diapers/wipes.

Is anyone familiar with income insurance? DH has a guy coming out tomorrow morning to give us his spiel. My initial reaction is scam! But open to thoughts if anyone knows more than I do on it.
@catlady1215 when I had my work shower, I didn't give them any registry info and ended up with pretty much exclusively clothes. I am in a different boat since, as a FTM, I need the clothes, but it seemed like they all had a little too much fun shopping for cute outfits. Hopefully you get some reasonable people who remember the importance of diapers/wipes though.

@catlady1215 yeah you’ll get mostly clothes. 1. Clothes are cheaper. You can get a cute baby outfit for $7. A box of diapers cost $30+ & no one wants to come in with a little 20 pack of diapers which last all of 2 days with a new born. 2. There’s nothing to open & owwww & ahhh over when its diapers & wipes.
Since the shower is 16 days away a small registry with seasonal clothes and diapers at target would have been your best bet. But I’m always pro registry.
@catlady1215 I always think workplaces should be a standard gift card amount. Everyone gets a $x gift card either Amex or to a place of their choosing for baby showers, wedding showers, etc. Otherwise you end up in these weird awkward zones. Do a lot of the people you work with have kids?
@amphibious22 I mean i can't blame them. Baby clothes are waaay more fun to buy than diapers
@ffw0617 so right, it's def a better option for them money wise also. It all happened in a matter of an hour today so no time for a registry. I was originally told the 13th and she called it just lunch. Then it got moved to the 19th... and 'shower' got thrown in. And sh asked about a registry as she was writing up the email lol
@doxiemoxie212 i agree, it'd be easier. my work shower for my first was impressive. Pack n play, diaper pail, rock n play. So only half was clothes. But we really don't need anything. Umm yah, I think just about all of them have kids. Mostly older woman. So hopefully they'll realize the need for diapers lol.

I’m watching the series finale of Fixed Upper and I’m a little confused. I expected them to acknowledge the fact that this is their last house but so far nothing. It’s just like every other episode.

@krashke I suspect they don't necessarily film in the order they show the episodes in and don't know until they're editing the season which one will be the finale, so they just don't address it. Also it would be sort of weird in syndication to have an episode being like, this is our last. IDK.
@doxiemoxie212 very valid points! I don’t watch the show regularly but when I saw Joanna post that it was the finale I thought I would watch the “special occasion”

@krashke I haven’t watched much of this season. My mom asks me every week, though, “did you see this week’s fixer upper?” No mom, I’ll see it one of the 5 million times it’s replayed. Lol
@Amphibious22 me too! So jealous of those able to bump at work. I always get to the party late after most are in bed after my late morning check in at home.
All of a sudden I am waking up several times a night on my back! I imagine it’s because gravity is pulling me over haha. I guess I’ll put a pillow behind me to keep from rolling but I’m not sure there’s enough room for all these pillows and DH in the bed!

Put a glider chair on my registry.
Got a free one from my granny.
Forgot to take glider off registry.
Someone purchased glider.
Ah well ... one could go in our basement if she's fussy.
@kfren fingers crossed for your 3 hour!
@mytinc what an awesome gift! I'm definitely having someone come in and deep deep clean in about 6 weeks--so much better as a gift.
