Re: Randoms (week of 4/2/18)

  • @katie121209 Ugh, I caught myself doing that for the first time the other night and got irrationally upset. It was so comfortable though. I can't wait to resume normal sleeping positions. :'(

  • @doxiemoxie212 I’m waking up several times in that position so I assume my body doesn’t like it and is waking me up.
  • Thanks for entertainment on that DD ladies and for the QFP @2589.  Also anytime someone uses the word "woman" when they mean "women" all I can think of is Danielle Staub from the first few seasons of RHONJ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BllT3SUAKUA

  • I often wake on my back as well (or rather my shoulders are pretty flat but my hips are still slightly rotated to one side).

  • And +1 to back sleeping! It was the only way I could get comfortable last night so I spent most of the night that way. I felt fine, so *shrug*? Although when DH was leaving for work at 5:15am he woke me up to make sure I was okay and tell me I was on my back...thanks, dear! lol
  • +1 to ending up on my back. I don't feel guilty about it anymore because sometimes that's the only sleep I get. I wake up that way a few times but I don't think it is because my body is waking itself up from being on my back, I think it's just the normal things that would have woken me up anyway; having to pee, the cat jumping up to the top of our headboard, MH snoring, etc.

  • Tbh I use to wake up somewhat on my stomach for the longest time during 1st trimester. I was actually more concerned about that vs lying on back
  • @MissKittyDanger I slept on my stomach until about 17 weeks when I started to get more of a bump

  • @krashke I remember around the 14-15 mark I would actively try not to because I was getting a bit of a bump. I swear I miss lying on my stomach. I may buy an inner tube soon ... throw a sheet over it and lie on it with belly in center lol
  • I'm sad I missed the snark. I was feeling especially onery yesterday too.

    I wake up on my back too - but it is awful. I am a back sleeper, so it is my natural position. When I wake up in the middle of the night on my back, I'm usually covered in sweat, so so hot, can barely breathe and want to throw up. MH gets totally freaked out. I think my body needs to wake me up sooner.

  • I still sleep on my back a lot too. I use 2 pillows so I'm kinda propped up. For now it's still comfortable so I don't stress about it.

  • If I sleep on my back, I wake up unable to catch my breath. If I sleep on my left side, my back hurts. So I'm a right side only sleeper for now lol.
  • Ugh, I am so jealous of all of you that can sleep on your back comfortably! It is seriously the only thing I want to do, but it is WILDLY uncomfortable for me at this point. I feel like I'm being crushed.

  • @MissKittyDanger i got an inner tube around week 23. I can’t sleep on it but i does work for relieving hip pain. I laid on it for about half hour last night.

  • I'm 100% comfortable on my back, but I've never been able to sleep that way soooo
  • If I don't sleep on my left side, I wake myself because I cannot breathe, but I can only sleep on it for so long before rolling to the right side.
    At this point, sleeping is a joke.
  • pre 1st pregnancy I was basically exclusively a left side sleeper...then after having dd I could sleep right or left side (I suspect my insides settled into different places so what previously felt like my organs were falling on themselves was no longer)...I've never been a back sleeper but I wake up almost every morning on my back with my arms up over my head now.  It is the only way I feel like my weight is evenly distributed.
  • +1 to back sleeping. I have to have my knees up and bent though. Feels good for my hips/back

  • I agree with @MoonOverGoldsboro that back sleeping is just uncomfortable for me, but I've still been able to sleep pretty much on my stomach. It's how I usually wake up and when I roll over I'm a little sore, but whatever at least I'm sleeping! The body pillow I got helps, but I'm just so hot at night that sometimes it's just too much touching me.

  • @ffw0617 If I figure a way to macguyver it to sleep, I'll let you know but you have just sold me on buying one this weekend lol
  • @2589 @doxiemoxie212 I make a lot of grunts when squatting down to give cats food or take bowls away. I've decided that all this squatting is great for my butt though lmfao
  • @MissKittyDanger that was me this morning refilling the dogs free flowing water jug. So many grunts, but feeling weirdly good about getting at least a little bit of squatting action in my day. :D

  • @Amphibious22 I was not a 'squatter' before pregnancy, but I've definitely been doing it since. Apparently my butt looks great lmao :D
  • @doxiemoxie212 what you described is basically how I have to get off my soft ass couch. damn me for getting these cushions restuffed so soft! I'm really going to have issues after the csection.

  • I'm not allowed to squat because of SPD! :( sad because originally I was doing a good job of 100 squats/day.
  • You ladies aren't missing out .... idk how long I can squat down and I always need something to hold {wall, chair, etc}

    +1mill to sleeping on stomach though :|

    Someone posted a HDBD in the Nov BMB. I would really just like someone to post something about it just being bloat or how your uterus isn't even above the pubic bone just because I want to watch some drama go down. Does that make me a terrible person or just bored at work?
    Lmao .... I wanna say both but I also wanna see what would happen lol
    {in Nov BMB defense, friend of mine looked more pregnant when she was 10 weeks with her 3rd baby so it's hard to say what would happen}
  • It's a sad day. I actually told dh no when he asked if I wanted my favorite Oreo blizzard from the local icecream place tonight. :(

    it just opened last wed and we already had it twice since then. Plus I've either had chocolate or cupcakes the past few nights.

    If I didn't feel the weight gain in my thighs and ass.... along with the belly, I would have done it. Waaaaah. I should watch though. Still worried they'll find sugar in my urine test again next week at my apt.

  • PSA: If you decide to listen to Dr. Google and take your iron supplement with oj on a completely empty stomach, then go to dinner with DH, please don't be surprised when you have to puke shortly after arriving at the restaurant.
    Dr. Google is BAD.  :(
  • @catlady1215 I feel for you :( my mom moved in with us in February and she brings me candy several times a week and I have no willpower and then I’m like crap this weight gain!!!
