So little update on my chiro appt. Good news & bad news.
Good news - no red flags and he thinks he can help. It's a normal situation I'm dealing with {*phew*} Plus he can go right up until due date or however I feel comfortable, and could see me as early as 3 days post-birth.
Bad news - since I'm 30 weeks, he's gotta do exam to see how much relaxin {thank you @doxiemoxie212 for mentioning it awhile ago so I didn't feel like an idiot when he mentioned it} is in the ligaments. That will depend on how I'll feel afterwards. If there's too much, I may not get relief for awhile.
I have a follow up appt for him to examine my back and see what the course of action is.
@kfren oh that sounds rough. Never listen to Dr Google.
@katie121209 If it is a small group of women that are usually friends they might have just told someone they are coming. Or people just show up! FX it goes well! Update us later!

@katie121209 its tough. especially right after easter!! I know how easily I can pack on the weight, nonpregnant, with night time snacking like I've been doing. so just trying to watch alittle bit. rsvps don't always mean anything. go have a great time today!

@kfren oh no! Thank you so much for the PSA, as I was just diagnosed with anemia and told to start iron 2x daily. I also read empty stomach and no dairy for two hours after and was going to comply but not after this no way... Even if it means less absorption.
I got incredibly behind on this thread and by the time I opened it it was at 5 pages ~ I have read the whole thing and will go back and love tit individual posts. Hopefully I will be able to tag some ladies in specific responses a bit later today too. But I wanted to say hi ladies!
Our baby shower is on is on Saturday and it was mainly planned to be an outside shower. But the weather report shows rain all day tomorrow and Saturday morning. So even though the rain will be done by the time shower set up starts, the grass will be wet. So now I’m stressed out about the whole thing being inside of MILs house instead of in the big back yard. Not sure how it’s going to work space wise. I mean I’m sure the party throwers will figure it out - I’m not talking about logistics. I’m claustrophobic, and I’m worried about the house feeling crammed and giving me anxiety :-/
On another note, I got my hair done last weekend for the first time in 2.5 years and I feel like a new person! (Left is before - right top is after/straight and right bottom is after/curly/Natural)
@stephcat421 Honestly, I think it was the acid from the juice. I had read that taking iron with vitamin c increases absorption, but I think I'll just try a vitamin c supplement instead. Maybe before bedtime, too.
@kfren@stephcat421 I can't remember who I've shared this with before. So apologize if I've told you about it already...however...I really suggest trying liquid iron. I've been taking iron for years and the liquid absorbs so much better for me and is much more gentle on my stomach than the pills. I just put the packet in a glass with a few fingers worth of OJ in the morning and chug it down. I can't even taste it when it is in the juice. Link to what I use in the spoiler.
Ladies idk if any of you are video gamers. I'm not, but there are certain games I adore.
Does anyone remember Spyro the Dragon?
IGN just announced they're doing a re-release of the original trilogy and I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED!! It's to be released in September {HELLO BDAY GIFT!} but my H and I are gonna pre-order it because I know 100% it will sell super quick lmfao
I've had the worst luck with socks lately - every brand I buy slides down the back of my heel and I end up with the sock bunched under the arch of my foot. I've been wearing tennis shoes a lot more lately (since my feet started swelling) and need a good ankle sock.
Every night I wake up around 2am and sneeze 50 times (not an exaggeration, stupid allergies) so last night I took unisom to try not to do that. It worked but I spent all night feeling shaky and slightly dizzy. So now I still feel that way. Ughh. Trying to shake it off so I can adult.
6 girls came to the sprinkle. I’m grateful to them for thinking of us and doing something nice.
On an an unrelated note, the lot next to us was finally bought and I guess we should expect construction to start in the next months That’s going to be just lovely withba brand new baby hearing the noise. It’s been vacant since we bought the house two years ago and I think I was hoping it was going to be vacant forever.
Bombas are the best! However, I only have the high crew ones because MN winter. I don't really wear socks any other time of year because I hate them so I cannot attest to the ankle or no show Bombas.

@MissKittyDanger I’m not a big gamer but I loved Spyro growing up. I was excited to hear it’s coming out on Xbox too. I’m going to look into the pre-order!
@dinodna3 Me neither, but there are a few games I die for. Sypro, Kingdom Hearts & Cool Boarders lol From what my H can find, the preorder isn't set up anywhere yet. I figure it'll pop up within the next couple days. It was serious freak out between him and I when IGN posted it on fb this morning lol
+1 for Balegas. (So thick. So comfy.) And I really want to try Bombas. I heard of them for the first time ever on a podcast 3 weeks ago, and they've been everywhere since then.
@katie121209 Sounds like the sprinkle was a success I struggle with the same weird embarrassed feeling when attendance is lighter than expected for an event I throw / is thrown for me. It's silly -- I know people are just busy and sometimes schedules don't work out, but I take it so personally. Anyway, really sorry about the new neighbors. Construction will suck regardless, but I hope they turn out to be amazing with a kid right around your LO's age, and long-term it becomes the best thing that ever happened!
Forgot to mention something that I chuckle about that happened this morning ...
So I was walking to get a drink from my bus stop and notice my shoe lace is untied. I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk {wasn't busy fyi} and stared at it for a good 2mins debating on how important it was to deal with this now or wait until I got to the coffee shop.
I ended up waiting until after I got my drink, but it was a serious thought process. Definitely a lot longer than it should have .... but I just stared at my shoe for a good long while lmao
@MissKittyDanger@BurlapandLace and then I try to coerce my toddler into coming and picking it up for me. I also taught her how to put my socks on the other day.
@2589@MissKittyDanger@BurlapandLace I can still pick most things up off the ground (I guess because I'm flexible? IDK), but if I bend at the waist and keep my legs straight, DH will appear from around a corner and shout, "You're not supposed to bend that way anymore! Lift from your legs, not your back!" So then I'll squat down, and there he'll be again, shouting, "Keep your knees together! You're not supposed to squat unless your knees are together!" Sir, what you seem to want me to do is physically impossible. I'm going to need you to STFU or pick this stupid thing up for me.
@doxiemoxie212 - Yeah... if DH was standing there critiquing how I was picking something up instead of doing it for me, I might bite his head off. Haha
@May14th2011 I don't have any pain as long as my legs are wide enough for my stomach, but then apparently I'm fucking up my hips, so, I'm screwed. Honestly IDK wtf they expect me to do as my stomach gets bigger. Like at some point I'm going to have to just give up on giving a fuck about the SPD because if my stomach gets much bigger, I'm not going to be able to even sit on the toilet without spreading my legs pretty far apart...
@LaceyBee522 yes, I so want to try the liquid iron you suggested! I even used the search function the other day to see the link you posted previously so thank you! The only thing is, I can't seem to find what the source of iron is... My doc wants ferrous gluconate, not sure if it really matters? Amazon didn't list what type of iron /mg , does it say on your supply by chance?
DH woke up at 6am to go to a spin class by himself, then he went to Whole Foods after and bought groceries for the next week, all while I was sleeping. My vagina is still in hybernation, but if it weren't.........

Also, hi! I swear, work is crazy this week and by the time I'm home I just chill and go to bed super early... I miss my Internet friends
@doxiemoxie212 My H has often told me to stop picking up things he can {ie; cat food dishes}
