MIL is in town and I do not have the patience or tact I usually display. We generally get along and I love her dearly. However, as she is aging she has some put-on mannerisms that drive me bonkers and wants to repeat entire conversations again and again as if the content or my responses will change. Like... we just fucking had this same conversation not an hour ago. No, I still don’t know the date for XYZ or if we need your help to meet contractors next month. This isn’t cute. Do you honestly not remember our conversation or are you looking for me to say something different? Either is an issue.

Tldr: I may not make it through the weekend without combusting and losing my everloving shit.

My role as AP at work requires me to balance the bank statement daily. Register all checks and outgoing funds, the whole 9 yards. My confession is that I don't do this at home with my accounts, ever. Which is why my checking account has just over $1.00 currently (savings is fine and there for back up). Also, H and I have separate accounts and pay separate bills.

Another one: I had a horrific migraine with all the vomiting weds afternoon through yesterday evening and have been surviving purely on Coca Cola for almost 48 hours now. Not planning on stopping anytime soon.

And another. One of our customers brought in donuts. I've already had breakfast of a mini bagel and pineapples but I'm emotional today so I'm having a donut for my feelings. Coworker also brought in cupcakes so that's going down after lunch.

@spottedginger I once had a FMIL like that. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a factor in calling off the wedding. I mean, her son was a douche and a half but I also couldn't live the rest of my life with a MIL like that. I feel for you.

@prpl11butterfly For whatever reason, your confession makes me feel better about my current finances. Also, yay surprise donuts!

FFFC: H voluntarily slept in the other room a few nights ago. And then has kept sleeping in the other room (once because he got home late) because his snoring is getting really bad and I'm having trouble sleeping. My FFFC, I told him once the pollen/his allergies get better then he could come back. I'm going to be sad about that day. I'm sleeping SO well right now.

FFC: So many of my family (my mom, my step-mom and H's Mom's boyfriend) have all been laid off in the past month and I just booked an overly expensive vacation and I'm not even mad about it. We just keep avoiding telling them all anything about it.
(In case anyone is wondering, Bahamas has officially been taken off the Zika list!)

@skilledsailor She’s not always like this. She just picks something arbitrary and gets stuck in a loop. It wouldn’t be so frustrating if I didn’t genuinely like her.

@SkilledSailor actually pretty jealous of your sleeping arrangement right now. I have to wake MH up in the middle of the night, sometimes multiple times, to tell him to turn over because hes snoring or breathing in my face. I don't want to kick him out of bed but if he decided to sleep in the guest room I wouldn't be mad about it.

FFFC: I'm still using a Christmas coffee mug at work and I have no plans of switching it out anytime soon.

My confession is that got a save the date for a distant cousins wedding this fall, and i have no intention of going (its super far, and like, seriously haven't talked to him in years) So i was just going to send them money, but he is posting non stop on facebook about how he loves guns guns guns, and i'm not going to send him anything now. I'm a bitch, and not sorry.

My DH and I have 1 or 2 tequila shots on the weekend. My kids 2 & 4 always ask us for shots too. We now give them chocolate milk in shot glasses and let them cheers with us.

@kristah2 I got layed off last Feb and was unemployed until June. H bought me a new (to me) Enclave in April. My family kept making remarks about how well unemployment was going for me. My parents were all in good fun but some friends of theirs seemed a little more irritated by it. Basically they are perpetual one uppers and couldn't one up me.

@eleven_ Part of me wants to be like "omg that's horrible" but really, I'm a big wine person. Like, love it. So I would totally give my kid some grape juice in my tervis wine cup if they asked to drink wine with me.

@eleven_ when I was a kid my parents used to give me shots of sprite when they were partying with friends and taking shots. In hindsight, now knowing that my mom was an alcoholic that was probably a bad idea.

@eleven_ I totally missed your shot comment. Nothing wrong with that IMO. I grew up in a very heavy drinking Italian family. I'm sure I my share of actual alcohol from relatives. In fact, even now as a sober adult my mom tries to get me to take shots of Fortissimo at family funerals.

My FFFC - I always thought it was totally stupid that you make friends in TTGP go through the daily struggle, share the BSC, but once someone got a BFP all interactions stopped. It made me super sad to lose those friendships I made. I'm glad this is catching on and I'm not the only one who felt that way. I missed you ladies and these threads are making me super happy!

Agreed, ladies!! You "chat" with someone for weeks, months, years... they are one of the few who understand what you're going through.. it's nice to keep connection!

There was a ridiculous drama about MILs bday celebration (again). MH & I ended up conceding to appease. Well, MH had influenza this week, so we didn’t go to the dinner. I was so glad bc it would have been a huge strain on my work night.

I may very well milk me not feeling well so we don’t have to go to ILs this weekend again.

ETA: I almost started this thread late last night bc I had a good FFFC & of course didn’t write it down

Or what if you're just one month behind your buddy? Because you ovulated at a different time you can't talk anymore? Or the people that are benched for months they just have to be alone while they are already feeling bummed or adopting or they have their LO? No F that.
I'm just super happy. Last night it was like seeing an old friend enter a party with each post that popped up. It was great! I was even happier to see the FFFC started this morning!

Last weekend, there was a mixup with the hotel. After much discussion and a discounted room, I looked at the confirmation email & realized I had accidentally booked the hotel for the wrong date. I never told the hotel or MH. Oops.

I do not like the word ‘funk.’ It makes me cringe.

I have never honestly told MH “My Number.” (Surely there are others, right?!)

I told two boyfriends plus now MH I had never had butt sex. It was only the truth the with the first person.

One time, in HS age years, I baked brownies with laxatives in them & gave them away to the group of guys with whom I was friends. They would shat in bags & put it on people’s doorsteps.

I've been using our move to get out of social events I just don't want to go to. Happy hours, kids birthday parties, get togethers. We're busy.. true... but we'd make time for something we ACTUALLY wanted to go.

@jrm_14 MH and I have not shared our numbers either and like @SkilledSailor I'm not sure I could come up with mine at this point. However, I do know that MH lost his virginity to me (we didn't start dating until 3 years after we met) but I did not lose my virginity to him.

@galactickates SAME! He tries to make out sometimes and its like he's putting his face too close to mine so I will kiss him back and push him away at the same time.

Erm, I completely had swamp vagina last night. MH & I hadn’t had the sex in about a month (its own FFFC). I still let him down there. Since he does that so infrequently, I knew it was this or who knew when! Didn’t even apologize for the swampness monster.
