When will this winter end???? I am happy that my destination next week will be in the low 70s so I get a little personal reprieve. I am very much over the winter now that it is almost mid-march and we're still in the 30s. F-U winter.

@flockofmoosen3 snow day here too! Looking like up to a foot. DS is already pitching a fit about wanting to play in the snow but we’ve got less than an inch so far.. going to be a fun day!

Oh man - sorry to all of those with travel troubles this week! I was lucky and made it out of La Guardia last night before the storm came through today. Right after I sat down I got a notification from AA that my original flight (today) was cancelled. Yikes!
I opted to do the pat down on the way up, but did some research into the airport screening machines and found that they're not magnetic or x-ray so I went through it on the way back. Please tell me I'm not alone in not feeling any motivation to work. Today stinks! DH woke up super early for a film shoot as his job and the weather is gray and gloomy. @MichelleAG05 same here, our original flight out of JFK was this morning at 10, we rebooked for last night and our original flight was canceled. Interesting about the scanner, I don't mind the pat down though so I might still do it coming back. I figure less radiation is Always better (but I know I'll still get it on the plane).

So apparently pregnant women aren't allowed to go on a whale watch. Weird. I don't really understand why, it's not like they use speed boats or anything. I guess we'll have to figure out another plan for today. It will be our only down time so I really want to do something other than sit around at the hotel (although that's a nice treat for me too).
Ugh my WTF Wednesday....So we have a fuel buying program that gives us a credit to buy fuel for our house...the company who delivers charges our account and there is a clearing account that gets charged if we are out of credit. Our fuel company recently switched to charging us monthly instead of every delivery so this last delivery was a lot....and we went over a lot because we missed it. So I transfered money from the other bank to pay it, but accidentally into DH's savings which I am not on. So I get online to pay and I am locked out. So I call and its because we are over our credit, and I am like, "I know, I am trying to fix that. Can you take the lockout off so I can pay?" "No, but we can transfer from your husbands account for you! Have him call us." "He can't, he's in meetings. I need you to find someone who can take the lockout off and then watch my account I promise I'll pay." On hold while he gets manager....manager says the same thing, "I need to talk to your husband to do the transfer and pay the bill for you." I say, "No, he can't call." Manager says, "Well, most people at least have a lunch break." I finally say, " Is anyway at the bank going to do this for me?" "We can't." "Can't or will not?"
WE WILL NOT DO THIS FOR YOU. I hung up.
Sorry for the book but like, they froze EVERY SINGLE ACCOUNT I HAD. I couldnt' even go to the bank and remove the cash, then put it in my own checking account. My husband has to call and tell them to pay it from his account.
Luckily we get paid tomorrow so I can just use that money and then it will unfreeze but shit. I AM SO ANNOYED.
I stayed home from work today, I've been needing a break this week. I slept in way too late, relaxed then got my guilty pleasure lunch Carnitas super burrito with, veggies and this specific extra hot salsa. So I'm half way through placing my order and the girls goes "with the extra hot salsa right? I remember." FML. I was impressed with her memory but so embarrassed! I swear I'm not eating THAT many burritos. It was delicious and totally worth it but left me feeling all;
ok my wtf wednesday - storm is now here, daycare decided to close early...fine, but could you have decided that with more than like 2 hours notice?? I wouldn't have bothered taking her in and driving into the office. Of course it's been nothing but fires at work today too and now I'm home with the 2 year old trying to field calls and mute over the "mama, minnie!" requests
@flockofmoosen3 ahaha i can’t tell you how many times i tell DH that. I can’t poop alone without holding some weird conversation with DS or yelling his name so he doesn’t do something he shouldn’t.
I'm in the same boat regarding photos - I figured it was VPN/work network issues as well. This week needs to be over...work has absolutely sucked and everyone has lost their minds.... finally getting my hair done for the first time since Aug tomorrow and haven't even thought about what I want done... I'm totally stress baking too... already made blueberry pie and plan on making macarons tomorrow when SIL comes over to help with DD and have girls' night
Stupid app! Same here. Work hasn't sucked but 1) there's always time and b) this week has been super hectic. I'm also bummed because I just had a frozen breakfast burrito that I had high hopes about and it was good but mostly tortilla. I regularly buy Annie's organics burritos and those heat up perfectly for a quick lunch. Now I'm hungry for more food!
I had my anatomy scan this morning! Baby looks good! They couldn’t see all the chambers of the heart because of how baby was laying so I have another ultrasound at 28 weeks. I’m making the conscious decision to not worry about it so I don’t drive myself crazy. Baby also had a choroid plexus cyst. But that should be fine as well as they normally just go away and all our genetic testing was good. I’ll pray about those things and leave it at that.
Now to the fun part! I’m having a baby boy! My husband is ecstatic! He’s the only boy so he gets to carry on the family name to his son and I’m thrilled!
I had a tiny twinge of something when I saw it wasn’t a girl but that’s gone and I’m getting pumped about being a “boy mom”. I usually hate that phrase for some reason but I just had to do it lol I may be warming up to it now !
My only day off this week and I’m crazy busy. Boo! Had to get fitted for my CPAP machine and mask at 9, then 10:30 is my anatomy scan and doctor appointment. Then clinical for school from 1-5. My turn to make dinner tonight and somewhere for doing laundry in there. Not exactly a relaxing day.
@ashbub714 congratulations! I felt the same way for a hot second but now I'm so excited to meet my little guy! A mom-son relationship is so special and I'm excited to see my DH with a buddy! Plus my FIL is the best so it will be so cute to see the 3 generations together. I'm sure when you gonback all will be well with his heart. I'm going back today to check on the umbilical cord and growth can't wait to see him!

My kitchen is a mess because it snowed like crazy over night (like, maybe 9-10 inches) and we are stuck inside so I baked bread. Then my dad decided he was coming over for breakfast anyway even though we cancelled due to the weather so I just spent like, 3 hours cooking and hanging out. I am tired, and have to do homework that I have procrastinated, lol. Wooooo....but the bread and biscuits I made this morning were totally amazing.
Ugh another random which is also a complaint...I have class 2 hours away once a month ish, and this week its in a different location, which sucks mostly because the college basketball team in that town has their conference championship that day and it starts an hour after my class to traffic will be LOVELY. But the teacher sent an email yesterday night asking that we bring six PAPER copies of our assignments to class. One is supposed to be at least 10 pages. I don't have a home printer that does that! And we had a snowstorm today so I'm certainly not going out to print 100 pages of assignments today. I either have to go pay for that or have DH do it at his work. AND all assignments have to be in WORD not google docs. So I have to convert all of my assignments.
Also I had to stop in the middle of writing this complaint to go deal with DS in his bedroom...and he had taken all the clothes out of his dresser. So...I have that to look forward to post nap. KIDS ARE A JOY. A TREASURE.
I just got an email from Toms about their limited edition bunny shoes and I kinda want....the kid ones are unbelievably cute but alas, I already bought my DS llama covered ones as a splurge and DH totally knows how much they cost now, so even if I could convince him that bunny shoes are appropriate for a boy, the price will make it a no, lol.
All is well with the babe, he is now 18 oz, holy crap! 7 oz in 4 weeks! No concerns whatsoever, going back in 6 weeks.
@comealongponds I treated myself to two pairs on new balance this week...so cute...love those Toms! These ones I got are pretty much slip ons, which is good to have as we grow bigger!
