Re: WTO 3/5

  • @fantasyflyte I love snowstorms, but my boss doesn't make me come to work if it is nuts :) I recommend Toyota for your future car!

@spylon We are getting married at the end of June. I asked him to do this just before Christmas. All of his family knows and is around here, but I got the invitations printed so USE THEM! Sorry... :p

@suzycupcake I haven't used the camera yet, but I imagine I will have the same experience as you :D My buddy loves his, but he has spine issues and doesn't have full range of motion. I'm not quite an old dog, but I have the same experience with new tricks.

@meladams10 It looks like ff isn't sure either. I'm so sorry if you already did O, but I agree with pp's assessments and advice. I also recommend going to amazon and ordering wondfo opk strips. It's easier to use strips, imo, because then you can take photos exactly at the 5 minute mark (no longer than that; set your phone timer) and write the cd next it on a piece of paper. It helps to place a bobby pin or a ring next to the strip to get your camera to focus better. You'll be able to clearly see the difference between when the line shows the surge and when it doesn't. That always helps me anyway.

@Whitmore1027 Nope. You are entitled to walk your butt in there and ask for a print out of your lab results if they are already in. It's very common to not give results over the phone. The doctor is allowed to. Every place has different protocols, but I do know for a fact that you have the right to go in and get a copy of your records. It is basic patient rights under the law. My previous past GM says You're welcome  :D

@meri-mac Let me know what you think of that feature when you get into it. I'm up in the air as to if I want to get a car with that or not. I'm kind of old school when it comes to cars. I don't usually get sucked in by the bells and whistles. MH on the other hand, well, he's just ridiculous!

  • @catlady2015 Typically my cycle is 28-30 days long and I have had issues with a short LP and spotting about 6dpo. I asked for a progesterone test to see if it's low, but I haven't heard back from my nurse as of yet. I'm going to use an OPK tonight just in case.
@dragonette505 I haven't paid much attention to CM but it sounds like that's something I need to start doing!
@meri-mac I guess some days are just harder than others for us TTC. It's so emotionally draining. Thank you for the kind words! I agree, I definitely don't know where I'd be without you all!
@suzycupcake I definitely learned my lesson this cycle! Next time I will just start with the cheapies and use the digitals as back up. The darkest one I got so far was on 3/2, but it was still a negative. Lesson learned!
  • @suzycupcake I would soooo walk in to get to get the results...if they weren't a 45 minute drive away. Hahaha!! I am hoping I misunderstood and that the doctor will call me with the results, since they were trying hard to get my results quickly. But I do know I need to go in for a follow-up, so I don't know what's going to happen! I may call before they close today and be like...either have the doctor call me with the labs, OR get me in tomorrow! (that's if the labs are even in today.).

@Whitmore1027 Oh yea, that is quite far! I don't blame you one bit, especially because you are in a new cycle and want to get going, not having to think about this crap half the time.

@meladams10 You may have not O'd yet then if you haven't gotten a positive opk yet. I know how frustrating this is and how overwhelming it can be at first. Just hang in there. You will gather a semblance of a routine very soon and you will get your lab results to see everything that may be going on. It will come around full circle and you'll have a plan. We are here for you! Also, how long ago did you request the P test be ordered for 7dpo? Maybe wait until you can confirm O and if the order hasn't been placed by then, call and demand it. Waiting with a plan will help you stay sane. Lol!

The thing that's also better about the opk strips is there are a lot of them that come in packs. Some of us have to test more than one time a day to really see what's going on. For me personally, my lines started first popping up in the evening. Sometimes, the lines were darker in the middle of the day than with fmu for whatever reason. I missed my surge a couple of times before I realized that.

  • @suzycupcake I'm thinking I missed my O all together but I will continue through tonight and maybe tomorrow just to be sure. I requested the P test Friday but now, since it doesn't look like I'll know when I ovulated, it'll have to wait until next month. Got that second SA and the HSG this month to look forward to too.

CM is the business.... I can (and will... you'll see!) be hella confused about what is going on with a cycle and then WHAM my CM lines up right and even if temps are confusing, I know I had a peak CM day (or days) and then its gone. For the past few cycles (where I was charting) my RE had me using the CBE digital fertility monitor because it looks at two different hormones LH and estrogen instead of just LH). It has always been right on the money so I'm going to keep using it (but still charting because I like to keep up my skills :) I can also recommend the wondfos and like I said, I use them twice a day (AM and early evening between 6 -7 PM) and usually I can get a positive in the evening. I'm a weirdo and I also do CF ferning (but that's only if you have an at home microscope lol) and cervical position but that's really just icing on the cake :)
  • @dragonette505 You have an at home microscope? That's pretty cool haha. Very interesting!! I do use OPKs 2x a day typically 11a and 7p but goodness, it sucks holding your pee doesn't it! Maybe I'll be some miracle get a positive tonight? Fx.
  • @meladams10 Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. (I've been waiting for years to use this idiom and I finally get it now!) If you keep temping and you actually O'd when ff thinks that you did (ff can change and make your cross hairs solid with your next days of temps), then that P test will come in handy. Besides, it's good to have results for more than one cycle anyway.

haha omg I'm one of those women with a gotta go all of the time bladder so holding it is just unbearable for me!

  • @wishiwaspreggo No prob! I found a new doctor that would run my full Thyroid panel. I suspect Hypothyroidism due to having a high TSH a few years ago, and ny TSH now plus ny symptoms really point to that being the issue. And my symptoms got worse starting a couple months ago. My old doctor straight up refused to test more than my TSH last month, so I found a new doctor who would.

yup! When I first heard about saliva ferning I got a little ferning scope, then I ordered a nice at home desktop microscope because the patterns are more spectacular in CF :)
Im such a poas-er (opk's, hpts whatever) I guess Im used to holding it!! lolol
  • @meri-mac End of June, that's coming up quick! So exciting. I totally get wanting to use the invites lol

@suzycupcake ok, that explains why I'm having a hard time with keeping my chart stable. I rarely get three hours in a row at the same time every night. I'll have to find my sweet spot, I guess. Also, I'll gladly come sort your papers if you buy me a plane ticket! lol

@fantasyflyte I second getting a Toyota! We have a 2001 Corolla that just won't die.

  • @meri-mac and @Spylon we'll probably end up getting me a Subaru (eventually lol). I have a Nissan now and my husband has a Subaru, and the Subaru handles so well in the snow, whereas my car has slid backwards down a hill. I'm heavily leaning Subaru part because of previous experience and part because it seems to be one of the only makes that has affordable AWD sedans. I need AWD in the winter (hello 8-18 inches tomorrow :|) but I don't want to drive something big.
  • Thank all you ladies for your support yesterday! Gave myself only yesterday to be on the pity train and looking forward to hopefully a better cycle next time. I'm going to TWW even though I know there's not a chance. FX for all of you this cycle!! :)
