Ladies, I'm heartbroken. US today did not go well. Baby was measuring around 7wks and did not have a heartbeat.
Aside from heartbreak, I think I am feeling relatively okay. As painful as it is, I know the statistics. I know it was un-preventable and completely not my fault. We plan to try again as soon as I feel ready (which i hope will be soon) because there is a baby waiting for us, I'm certain. I think most of my sadness is that the life I envisioned is just that much further away then expected. Because I'm having no signs that natural MC is nearing, I have opted to have the surgical procedure, it is scheduled for tomorrow. If anyone has some insight/experience they can share, please feel free to PM me.
I will miss you, it's been a great few months. I wish you all nothing but the best and hope you all continue to have uneventful pregnancies and beautiful babes in Sept (or late Aug/early Oct).
I am so so sorry, I am tearing up at my desk for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you, I hope the procedure tomorrow is quick and uneventful, and that you are able to find peace and comfort.
Oh I’m so sad to read this, I’m so very sorry for your loss. You’ll be in my T&Ps and I hope you get your rainbow baby as soon as you and your H are ready.
Sending you so many hugs. ❤❤❤ I'm so sorry it didn't go as well as we were all hoping today... I'm definitely going to miss you here, and hope to hear better news for you and your family before too very long... GL tomorrow and in the weeks to come.
Very sorry to hear about this. Sending you wishes for a quick easy surgery and recovery.
I have heard that chances of conception after a miscarriage can be high due to still having favorable hormones present. Wishing for a wonderful rainbow baby for you soon.
Will definitely miss you around here though.

I am so sorry to hear this. Made me very sad to read. Please take care of yourself and also wishing you get the rainbow baby you so deserve as soon as you feel ready ❤️
I am so sorry for your loss. I have no advice really, but my D&C was pretty smooth and uncomplicated. It was tough emotionally, but it was otherwise simple. I hope yours is too.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It is heartbreaking. I had a d&e with anesthesia and it went relatively smoothly. The pain afterward was similar to bad menstrual cramps and manageable with Advil. Make sure they offer you a follow up ultrasound to make sure there's no remaining tissue, which can cause infection. Good luck and please feel free to PM me if you have other questions.
I'm so so sorry! I'm sending you so many hugs! I will miss you around here. You'll be in my thoughts. I hope all goes well and you can have your rainbow baby just as soon as you are ready. So much love to you, mama. Please take care.
I’m so sorry to hear this. I hope your procedure goes smoothly tomorrow and I’ll be praying for emotional healing. I’ve had two D&C’s, both of which went well from a medical standpoint and did help get the physical aspects taken care of quickly so I could work on and focus on the emotional side of things. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
I'm so sorry... my heart dropped and the words "oh no" fell out of my mouth as soon as I saw who started this thread. I hope you have a speedy recovery and get your rainbow baby soon. You will be missed!

I am so incredibly sorry to hear this. I hope that your procedure tomorrow goes as well as can be expected. Please take care of yourself, and I'lI be keeping you in my prayers as you heal. Fingers crossed that you are blessed with a rainbow baby just as soon as you are ready.
Thank you all so much. I had surgery this morning and it went perfectly. I had such an amazing team of nurses. Many of them shared their own stories of loss with me. I know how common this is but it was nice to know how many of them had laid on that bed in my position. I felt so much love and kindness from them (seriously, you nurses rock). My anesthesiologist was my own personal angel. Since she was a former migraine sufferer, she took extra steps to make sure the headache I had didn't go full blown. She ordered me down my imitrex to take before she put me on all the other meds. And we both got to have a good laugh about the asshole who gave me my epidural during Nolans birth. She informed me that he was gone shorty after and that I won't have to deal with him next time.
I think I needed to do it this way rather then naturally. I was scared about it happening at home while the kids were here or at work. I know it's only been about 24hrs but I think I'm in a good place emotionally and mentally. I have always considered myself a realist and that part of me is really pulling through. Obviously I'm an emotional female too so I'm having moments. But really, I feel good. DH has been great (a little too great, I'm only allowed to get up to pee since that's the 1 thing he can't do for me).
I hope you'll all forgive me when I pop in to SS post news of a rainbow baby. I'm optimistic that our final addition is not too far out. And I look forward to coming to see all your squish announcements in 7 months ❤
@prpl11butterfly you better come back and SS post the heck out of anything you want to share with us! I'm so glad to hear things went well and that hubby's being awesome for you. So many hugs to you!
