  • @acciocoffee - yes mine comes and goes too! Cheers to similar timing and for two healthy pregnancies!

  • Nausea! My nausea feels strange though like it stems from heartburn but I can't really say the heart burn is bad. I Don't know. Weird feeling. And sore boobs. I bought some bras without underwire.

  • 6 weeks today and nausea is really ramping up! I threw up plenty with DS so I'm just waiting for the worst to come. I am also going back and forth between diharrea and constipation...figure your life out bowels!
  • I know I mentioned greasy hair a day or so ago, but now I just feel greasy (and itchy) all over. Zits on my face and neck and back. Cool. Any suggestions? I feel like I'm going to need to shower again when I get home.
  • 6 weeks!

So far my worst symptom is lizard face. My skin has been SO DRY. I have had sensitive skin for a while now and use a very gentle (and pricey) gel cleanser twice a day plus a moisturizer with a few drops of an oil. Well even that was too much once I got pregnant.

Now I only use the cleanser once a day. Otherwise I just use water. And for moisturizer I've been using just plain jojoba oil. I guess it is very similar to our skin's natural oils. This has restored my face to normal - it even is almost "glowing" now.

Other than that, sore breasts, some occasional light cramping as I can feel my uterus stretching a little, and I crash at about 9pm. The exhaustion basically comes on quick and hits hard.

Other than these rather minor complaints.. I feel pretty normal so far.

I’m soo glad I’m not the only one. I’ve been wearing an extra sweater and gloves at work because it is so cold at my desk. I keep hearing about people feeling like they are their own furnaces, but that isn’t me :)

@knottieamusements and @sarahzett Me too!!! I am a typically cold person but this is really ridiculous! I work from home and currently have a lap blanket plus cat on lap to help keep me warm. :)
  • I have been really cold lately as well. One of the kids I nanny for kept yanking the blanket off my feet yesterday. I was already so tired and a little nauseous, and I was dealing with her constant fake-crying, but the blanket was the last straw. I burst into tears and told her she had to be nicer to me because I'm growing a baby. (She's not verbal yet.)
  • Wish I had figured this out last pregnancy, but thought I’d share now— turns out eating little clementines helps my nausea a lot (at least right now)
  • Count me in on weird dreams. At least vivid dreams! I'm also dealing with some fatigue, but otherwise, I feel great so far. I'm only 5 weeks 2 days though, so I'm sure the "best" is yet to come haha
  • Just the last couple of days or so, I’ve been getting out of breath ridiculously easily. Like it’s sad but yesterday I got out of breath cleaning up my sons toys. What’s happened to me?!
  • Well I jinxed myself. Here comes the nausea.
  • @SawyerRichardson hit me like a ton of bricks today. Luckily I work from home and was able to rest. Hope it doesn't get any worse

  • Has anyone had any spotting? I’m 5w and had a CP last month and just saw a pink spot so I’m kinda freakin out. I’ve been taking tests almost everyday for a week and this mornings test was still very positive, I’m just worried.

I’m 5.2 weeks and I’ve had a couple days with minor spotting.  Not much, but enough to make me freak out. I had a couple irl friends say they had spotting all through first tri, so that helped ease my mind a little!
  • Thank you for the reply. As far as symptoms go I’ve only had breast soreness, vivid dreams and waking up at 3 am every night for the past week. And surprisingly I haven’t been very hungry, no nausea but no appetite either. If the spotting continues I think I’ll call my OB Monday.
  • Morning sickness has reared its ugly, so lemon water has become my new best friend. Fortunately, I'm not vomiting... just really nauseated. Of course this would also be the time when DD projectile vomits yogurt on me (the smell was horrific). I'm also extremely fatigued and start looking forward to bed around 4:00 lol.
  • @twinpeaksmama it hit me yesterday too. I'm also going to bed around 8/9pm due to extreme exhaustion. Then I wake up at 4am and can't get back to sleep.

  • 5w5d and only symptom aside from waking up early (sore nipples) seems to be fading a bit. Hard not to be a little worried at this point, but hoping for the best.
  • Thanks @acciocoffee! Does make me feel a bit better!
  • @chopchop25 mine said the same! I dont have many symptoms but I keep expecting them to attack all at once lol
  • I'm glad you guys said that. I told DH this afternoon that I was worried because I had been nauseous all week and yesterday and today felt pretty okay other than some indigestion. Then we went to dinner and I started to feel worse. He jokingly asked if I felt better now that my symptoms came back.
  • I really haven’t had many symptoms yet other than vivid dreams. I’m somewhere between 5 and 6 weeks. Sometimes I feel a wave of nausea that lasts a few seconds but I’m not even sure if that is pregnancy related or in my head because I want to feel symptoms. I know they say not to worry if symptoms aren’t there but it is hard. *TW* I was told the same thing in August when I had no symptoms and it ended in miscarriage. I obsessively check the toilet paper every time I use the bathroom and I think I won’t feel better until I get a first ultrasound. So let’s hope these next few weeks can go by quickly and I can distract myself.
  • Hit 7w0d today. Week six was def worse week of symptoms so far and haven’t let up. I don’t know how I’m going to make it through work this week. Glad we have tomorrow off.

@acciocoffee - thank you for telling us about symptoms and the notable irrelevance. Not that I'm totally freaking out or anything!  :#
  • Glad to hear other people are having on and off symptoms too. Literally the only symptom I've had every day so far is sore boobs. Everything else comes and goes. It does make you wonder what the heck is going on with your body!
  • Holy headaches! and some random nausea that comes and goes. I can handle the nausea but Tylenol is doing nothing for me with these headaches :(
  • FWI my nausea came and went for my pregnancy with DS. I found it followed a pattern, bad in the morning but was usually gone all day after i ate something, returned in the evening and usually disappeared after dinner. Over all, it was mild and I threw up once. By 9 weeks it was almost nothing.

    This pregnancy is another story.
  • I just got a positive last night, so now I’m analyzing everything from the last week. My major symptom is tiredness. All week I’ve been hitting the sheets at 9 PM, but I’ve also been waking up at 5 AM.

I also had some really wild cravings last week that I couldn’t say no to for some strange reason. And I’ve been super mean. I’ve been exiling my husband to the other side of the house for days because he was seriously getting on my nerves.
  • I'm glad I'm not alone! @Shidoni My poor SO can't win this week. Literally everything he says makes me upset or angry for no reason.

And I'm also glad to hear that other's symptoms come and go. I was really starting to get nervous and even more anxious for my appointment tgis week!
  • Mood swings are definitely a huge symptom...but with my PCOS, it's also normal.

It seems my main consistent symptom is cramping, round ligament pain, and sore boobs/nipples.
  • Fell asleep on the couch at 8:30 last night. Though not sure if that’s more a symptom of the inside baby or the the outside toddler.
