Re: Symptoms Week of 2/12

  • The nausea is real this week. I almost threw up in the grocery store yesterday. It seems to hit in the afternoon/evening which I can be grateful for since at least I am home from work then.

I have had multiple dreams now where I have willingly eaten gluten. Maybe we should start a dream thread!

  • Weirdly, my most annoying symptom is that my gag reflex is super sensitive.  I’m glad I’m not currently dealing with nausea, or I would throw up every time I brush my teeth.

Other than that, I’m super emotional- which has been difficult because it has amplified some of the interpersonal issues I’ve been struggling with for a few months. (Since before getting pregnant, so I know the issues aren’t just the horomones.)

    I’m 6w6d.
  • I want alllllll the fried chicken. I don't usually like fried chicken.
  • @Lisa3379 meeee. I guess it's better than being constipated?

As long as it's over first thing in the morning! Last thing I want is to be shackled to the house because I'm afraid I'll have to go in the car or something  :D

I keep going first thing in the morning and usually that's also when I have to get sick. So as this pregnancy progresses things should get interesting.  :s

  • @knottieamusements I feel you on being super emotional.

I am going to see les miserable with our oldest son in april so we have been listening to it in the car every morning and for the past week I can't make it through one song without crying. it's like my new game to see how long it takes...

  • For those dealing with weird vivid dreams, try taking a blanket off your bed.  When not pregnant, I usually have that problem when the weather changes because my bed gets too hot.

I’ve noticed since I’ve been pregnant that I need fewer covers to still be comfortable- otherwise I was too hot and my dreams were awful. When I pulled the cat blanket off the bed, my dream pattern stopped being weird.

It's funny because my digestive has been much better since getting pregnant. Prior I was having it several times a week, I had just gotten used to it. (I'm also on Metformin which is notorious for digestive issues)
  • Nausea nausea and more nausea. I’m week 6 day 5 and was feeling fine until about 3 days ago and then it hit me like a freight train. It’s impossible to find anything that sounds good to eat.. thankfully haven’t thrown up yet but gotten close. I can only eat small amount at a time as I just get bloated and full instantly.

Anyine have any any good ideas for taming the nausea and improving appetite? I feel terrible
  • @Lisa3379 and @hellopartyof5 Me toooooo. Every morning like clockwork and then I'm usually okay for the day. So weird! And unpleasant haha

I am 7 weeks today and feeling about the same as before. Tired, sore boobs, digestion is off, and so. very. moody.  Nausea is slowly starting to ramp up but nothing severe yet. It is worst on an empty stomach so I've been trying to eat frequently.
  • I'm just shy of 6 weeks, and I am MOODY AF!! And sooo tired. Not really nauseous yet, except in the mornings during and after showers I start to feel slightly iffy. My mom said she was never really sick, so I hope that passes down to me. Boobs hurt only when I take my bra off, and for some reason at night when I roll over in bed I wake up because they hurt so bad.
  • I actually went to urgent care today because I feel so weak and achy paired with a sore throat. I’m super paranoid and wanted to make sure it wasn’t the flu. Just a crappy cold and 6 weeks pregnant.
  • I just want to say Giant Middle Finger to morning sickness. I have been lucky before with it being almost nonexistent. No such luck this time around. 5 weeks 2 days today and it’s been kicking my trash for over a week. The only thing I can tolerate and keep down is baked lays and Diet Coke. So my rear is gonna grow as much as my stomach. Awesome.
  • Mild nausea, ditto on the diarrhea. I am also very tired by about 1pm but I am at work and not able to nap. :(
  • I love seeing others feeling the same way that I am. This is my first pregnancy so I am googling eeevvvveeerrryything!

Symptoms: No sleep, feeling tired, nauseous especially in the mornings, but no vomiting, sore boobs, and crazy cramps in my feet (this symptom I don't understand). I asked my doctor to check my thyroid because I don't usually see people complaining about their feet this early on.

We got this ladies! Cheers to crummy pregnancies with HEALTHY babies!

Same, it all starts to kick in after lunch it seems. On Tuesdays I work two jobs, yesterday was the first time I didn't take a nap between and I regretted it. I start job two at 7:30, by 8:30 I was exhausted.
  • Ugh I was so waiting for this thread. I'm only 4 weeks and I don't think I have many symptoms outside of EXTREME THIRST. However, I picked up some kind of stomach bug yesterday and it has been stressing me out! I had myself convinced I was having an ectopic pregnancy because I was cramping...ummm that was gas. Now that I know that I am relieved but I really got myself into a tizzy.
Anyone have IBS?? I became lactose intolerant after my first pregnancy and now I seem to be sensitive to dairy AND soy, and gluten? Usually I pound the pepto so that I don't kill people around me with my death fumes but I can't take that now! I'm a therapist ya'll, this could be a stinky 9 months!
  • I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow. The last two days I have woken up SOOO thirsty! My hair seems to be getting greasier too.
  • @kimberbeep I have heard that your hair will get greasy faster
  • @kimberbeep I have heard that your hair will get greasy faster
But hair tends to fall out less during pregnancy, so give and take. My hair fell out SO MUCH 3 months postpartum, it was TERRIBLE. So enjoy your full head of greasy hair now!

Great...it already does! I don't need pregnancy hormones for that.

  • Yeah- my hair is already getting greasy faster.
  • I did not know this hair grease thing happened! That explains what is going on right now!

  • I haven't had any spotting until today, I'm 5w5d. It's completely brown, so I know there's nothing to worry about, it does make me slightly nervous.
  • How are people’s cramps feeling ? I’m not spotting at all but my cramps are noticeable..... I’m trying to not get too worries
  • @breanneestafford1 I have had mild cramping since before my BFP and they were lighter for the last couple days. I am 6w3d and had a dating u/s and I have them again. No spotting of any kind for me. I would say you probably don't have anything to worry about but call your Dr or nurses on call for extra piece of mind! Worst that happens is they do some testing or have you go in.
  • I have pretty much daily cramping throughout the day. It varies in intensity too. What worries me is when it's more focused on my right side. Although, that's the side I'd get bad cramps on around ovulation too..
  • @sammierose464 at my ultrasound my OB said I ovulated from my left side, so if I felt any cramping on the left that was why. So that could totally be it.

Hey all!! A couple symptoms have shown up this week.

I have crazy nausea going on. I’m 5 weeks, 6 days. I’m not throwing up though, which I’m thankful for! If it stays like this, I’m confident no one will find out until I’m ready to share the news. I am able to stay quiet when I’m nauseous and just pretend everything is fine. I consider us all Oscar-winning actresses haha

I’ve having a lot of heartburn. I have acid reflux so I don’t know if that is making it worse or not.

I’m also super cold. I’m usually the one to quickly overheat but I’ve been sleeping with 2 pairs of pants and wrapping myself in a fleece blanket and then going under the comforter. I look like a burrito lol

My boobs are painful to the touch. I was game for some Valentine’s Day lovin’ but told my husband he was not to even look at my boobs too hard let alone touch them. Stay downstairs, buddy lmao.

  • @sarahzett I'm at about the same timing as you and I have literally all of those symptoms exactly. Except my nausea comes and goes a lot. But when it goes away the acid reflux kicks in which is gross.
  • Mild nausea abd I seem to go between being constipated and having diarrhea. I also have greasy hair all of a sudden. I had no idea that was a pregnancy thing!

    And acid reflux baaaaad.

@acciocoffee I just came on here to complain about that exact thing.  Yesterday and today I haven't been too nauseous, but its been replaced with the worst indigestion and heartburn.  I don't remember this happening last time.

Edit bc I can't stop double spacing after tagging people and getting the weird unnecessary semicolon
  • @KFrob With DD I don't think I had acid reflux until I was in the second trimester. I have no idea why it is starting so soon this time. Sipping on coconut water helped last time so I need to start doing that again.
  • I feel like I have to pee every half an hour, which is starting to become an issue on my 45 minute ride home...
