I can't wait for my dad to get home so we can have my cake and I can go back to my house. My SIL is driving me nuts- we can't talk about my baby, only her baby. My mom was showing her all the things she bought for the baby and she didn't even say thank you, and was making a lot of sarcastic comments about it. And she seems to be thinking the bassinest from my cousin is for her, but it's supposed to be for me. She makes like ten times as much money as me, she can get her own bassinet. I'll be pissed if she takes it.

Funny story, last year we went to St. Lucia and did a Sandals. We were so vacation drunk they talked us into booking the family one this Feb. we even paid a deposit. We got home and a few days later we’re like WTF were we thinking, we’re going to TTC lol. Sandals let’s you push it back 2 years but I still don’t know if I want to do it with a 6 month old so we’re probably losing $250 hahaha
Thanks for the love ladies! My story isn’t a normal one but it’s still my own and i try to make the best of things. It’s such a huge weight lifted knowing for sure now that I have a partner in all of this.
It’s 8pm and I’m in bed watching Live PD feeling sad I’m all alone though I should be enjoying a quiet house. I just FaceTimed with DS and he’s having a blast at my parents but I still miss him! Maybe I’ll take my unisom and call it a night haha
I’m glad to see it seems like most of you ladies are having a good weekend, or at least semi good weekends.
Today was a great family day besides a few meltdowns from DD and poor DS seems to be getting a cold. We all went to an elective ultrasound place and found out we’re having a girl! Then went out for an early dinner and it was just great to spend time as a family especially since DH works so much.
SO has to leave in the morning. I’m not ready. Right now he’s busy working on details on the basement we are finishing. Trying to bust it out so we can get kids out of the future nursery. He’ll be home for good in March. He has one more weekend to return. And then the next trip will be him returning for good. Thank God. But I don’t wanna say goodbye again. I love rolling over and feeling him. Corny. Yes. But he’s my person. Okay pity party over.
@dirtanddiamonds I’m sorry you’re definitely entitled to a pity party here. It’s not the exact same thing but DH and I were in a long distance relationship for years before and after we got married. I understand the anxiety before one of you leave and I know that feeling of emptiness! The good news is that it won’t be for much longer! Hang in there!!

I was bummed today I got cash back at the register and went out side to get my cookies and they had already packed up shop. I was so sad. I wasn’t even in there long.

DH ordered our Girl Scout cookies this year which means we’ll have about 27 boxes showing up soon.
For anyone else who doesn’t like being pregnant, it’s ok. I hated being pg the first time, even though I had a relatively easy pg with DS. This time I still hate being pg, although the nausea, vomiting, food aversions, exhaustion, sleep deprivation, etc have a lot to do with it. Plus the med restrictions during pregnancy suck. Tylenol doesn’t do jack for me, and I hate that there are no “good” sinus meds I can take when I have a bad cold or severe seasonal allergies.
DH left on Friday for a winter hiking/camping trip with his friends. My nausea got worse yesterday, so that was fun. Not. Now when I start gagging, DS screams “Don’t puke on me!” and runs to another room. It’s been cold & raining the last 2 days, I’m tired, and DS is becoming reminiscent of the Tasmanian Devil. He has a birthday party this afternoon, and I’m really looking forward to letting him run off energy while I talk to other adults.
Also, I finally found & tried on my box of maternity clothes from 7 years ago. Almost nothing fits. I have about 6 shirts and maybe one or two pairs of pants, but the pants are already tight. Apparently my ass really has filled out in the last 7 years. But now I need to go shopping for clothing that fits since I have no idea of sizes to order online.

Y’all would not believe the size of the breakfast I demolished this morning. Eggs, bacon, sausages, home fries, French toast, tea. Zomg it was amazing.

We got a glazing of ice last night so we’re stuck in the house today. Our get together with the family last night was fun but it’s hard having a very active toddler in a house that’s not baby proofed. The older kids were playing with those ball magnet things so I had to watch DS like a hawk. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!
I think the worst part about being pregnant is having the common cold. It's just enough to annoy the heck out of you, without being bad enough to actually take anything.

Also, I get the "not being able to enjoy" the pregnancy thing, and it sucks. Compared to some of the other gals here, mine has been ridiculously symptom free so far, for which I am eternally grateful. But feeling like I'm having to hide it from everyone around me, plus a lot of other personal life things going on atm, it feels like I haven't been able to enjoy it because I'm having to worry about X, Y, and Z instead. Plus, being made to feel like it's a horrible inconvenience to hubby's great cross-country moving plan doesn't help. Sorry, but I felt having good health insurance was a good thing to "exploit" while we still had it. Maybe if I hadn't miscarried last July and would have had that baby at the beginning of this March it would have worked out better. But life is rarely so easy or convenient.
@hezzer78 the beer fest sounds terrible for pregnant person but Tucson is such a magical city! And in March, omg it’s going to be BEAUTIFUL. Since beer fest would suck I definitely recommend Grand Canyon and then maybe head down to Sedona for more beautiful rock formations. I love AZ in the Spring.

omg I had such a vivid awful dream last night that our 5yo disappeared... gone. Omg so upsetting
then a came downstairs to a bloody nose and headache. Blech. Probably the weather (pouring rain).
But now im snuggling on the couch with my boys watching Mary Poppins
