DD isn't feeling well so we're laying low and watching Moana for the zillionth time. Not like we would go anywhere anyways with the fricken 8 inches of snow we've gotten in the last 24 hours
@rocknrollmom Im currently in bed hearing all the snow blowers going in the neighborhood. I'm too scared to look out the window to assess the damage.
Today H and I are taking LO to the in-laws for a fish fry. FIL goes to Canada and catches the most tasty fish. Today we are having perch but I also love trout and walleye. I'm bringing a hot cheese dip in my mini crock pot and am serving it with celery and carrots to justify eating a pot of cheesy goodness .
Just laying low today as I'm technically still in recovery although I feel fine. Gonna read some articles for grad school and maybe start this paper I've been procrastinating on. H will probably clean. There's a community hafla tonight (like a dance party for belly dancers) and I want to go (not dance, of course - just visit) but may have to see how I feel later.
Mornin’ lovely ladies! Were heading out grocery shopping soon then the typical cleaning, laundry, meal prep boringness. We’re getting a light drizzle of freezing rain today so we’re stuck at home. Fun times.
DS is going to my parents soon until tomorrow night. So I’ll clean and run errands I guess. Watch my shows. He’s been sleeping with me since DH is gone so looking forward to the bed for myself haha
sidenote, my app now won’t show me the yellow box with new replies and it’s really annoying me. I’ve logged out and back in.
We finally have our reveal today so I can stop being the only one who knows! I’m hoping DH will be excited it’s a girl, I know my mom will be at least. After that I really want to go look at baby stuff with my mom and DH’s mom but we’ll see how everyone feels after scarfing down a ton of BBQ and cake (and bubbly for everyone other than me).

I just did a prenatal yoga class and was the heaviest one in there by a lot and felt super self conscious but still happy that went since my hubby was going to freeze my membership if I didn’t start going back soon.
@legallykate pleeeeease post pics if you can! So excited for your family! @melissaf22 girl I feel you. Did you like the class though? Do you do a lot of yoga? @scottishlass1213 I’m on the browser on my phone because the app has been an asshole for 2 weeks now
I laid down at around 5 last night. It's 10 AM now I and still don't feel like I can get out of bed. I'm exhausted.
I'm feeling a little down today. My due date isn't until the 29th, and I feel like I have frigging forever left in the first trimester, not to mention this pregnancy. I just want to be in my second trimester so I can feel like my pregnancy is relatively safe and I can actually start enjoying it.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@melissaf22 I'm going to a prenatal yoga class today because a friend invited me. I've never done yoga before and am also really out of shape so I'm pretty nervous. Hope you at least enjoyed the class!
@jsnakehole I both understand and sympathize. I told my family after the first ultrasound at 9 weeks and they kept acting like it was "for sure" and that nothing could go wrong. It made me feel even more anxious about it myself. Didn't breathe a sigh of relief myself until I heard baby's heartbeat this week at 13+4. Can't promise you will feel better because I still have my bad days, but one day at a time a you will get there too. A few weekends ago I laid in bed crying for a bit just because I just felt so tired, crummy, and worried about it all. Hope you start feeling better and hope it helps to know that you aren't alone in those feelings!
@lakesideknitter on Monday, but I'll still only be 11w3d. We've started telling some people but I don't want to make a general announcement (I.e. on Facebook) until after my March appointment. And even then, I don't feel like I'll feel really comfortable announcing until the appointment after that. It sucks and I just don't trust myself/my body to do what it's supposed to do. I feel like a piece of crap because I've been eating terribly, I definitely don't drink enough water, and I've forgotten my vitamins more than once. I know it's all stupid and irrational but everyone keeps telling me to enjoy this and how much they loved being pregnant and I already love my baby but I'm not enjoying being pregnant. It's been so incredibly stressful for me.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@mrsbubbles-2 I did enjoy the class for the most part and I’ve only done yoga a few times but want to try and be more active this pregnancy and hopefully not gain as much as did the last time.
@doctormom33 good luck at the class, I hope you enjoy it!
@jsnakehole adding to the creepy internet hugs. I understand. Hang in there and do your best to trust your body! I know it's hard.
Not much going on here today. DH has a work event tonight and he is wearing his class A's which he's been grouching about. We have to take 2 separate cars and it's cold as balls, so I've been grouching about that. No idea what I'm wearing haha. And my very dumb sister is babysitting since we couldn't find anyone else so that should be nice and worrisome. I do watch her on the camera though hahahaha.
Tomorrow we're going out for my birthday with family. They all apparently forgot about it 2 weeks ago and my mom won't do anything unless it's 150% convenient for her.
Can you tell I'm feeling a little meh about my family this weekend? Lol
@jsnakehole I also hate being pregnant, and I feel guilty about that, because the whole process is relatively easy for me compared to others. I agree that it's very stressful, and it makes it hard for me to give much attention/energy to other important things in my life. Also, I know many people who don't announce publicly until after their A/S at 20 weeks. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Me: 28, DH: 40 Married 9/28/13 DS born 11/12/15 EDD 8/13/18
Our weekend plans were cancelled because DH has a man cold.
Also he's insistent that I clean the house. Well, DH, that means you need to take 100% control of the toddler and ideally get out of the house. That's not gonna happen. I'm already annoyed.

@jsnakehole creepy internet hugs, pregnancy is so hard in so many ways.
I’m currently sitting on the couch watching the olympics with one son under one arm and one laying on my legs. It’s mornings like these that make momming worth it.
I completely understand the not liking to be pregnant. I don’t think it’s bad. That’s why we took 5 years after DS. I hate not having control.
Im signed up to start prenatal yoga in a few weeks. Luckily the instructor is a friend. It’s not my preferred workout but I know it’ll help so I’m giving it a shot. It’s not like I’ve been doing my normal workouts much lol
Seriously feel your pain @elsieisamoocow I told DH I wanted the house cleaned this weekend and his response was to have the cleaners come today- while he’s working of course. No, you can help around here. Either watch the child or here’s the mop.
Speaking of the child.... holy frustrating leap! If he’s not fussing or clinging he’s throwing food or having a tantrum. 6 more days according to the app
Tirrred. My sister and nieces are coming over tonight to babysit so trying to at least make the house not look gross. We are going out to a comedy show with some of dh friends. I’m afraid it’ll be late and not so fun for me... I’d rather use a night out on a restaurant lol.
Been trying to watch the olympics but just some dude making dog biscuits, sounds like it’s finally starting.
And yay yay my ring sling came today and I luuuuurve it! So pretty.
what a whammy of a day. Went to a science Center which was awesome, DS got to feed turtles and chickens and he loved it. Then we went for brunch at this place we had never been to in a town we are not familiar with. I brought DS to the bathroom with me while we were waiting, the place was so busy. And while I was peeing he squatted down and pooped in the diaper. TMI TMI he leaked his poop through his clothes which I realised when I picked him up because it leaked through his pants and through my top to my skin. So gross. There was nowhere to change him so DH and I ran out to change him in the car and we decided we’d just go home because I literally smelled like shit and had no spare clothes. So I looked for my sunglasses which were no where to be found, not in the car and not in the restaurant. They were expensive and a gift from DH 18 months ago and I take such good care of them. I figured in my scramble to run to change DS I left them in their case where we had been waiting. I was so upset they were gone. Ended up getting a call from the restaurant after I got home that someone had found them outside in a flower pot! Maybe I dropped them as I was rushing out with DS. Anyway I’m so glad I got them and they weren’t taken. Gotta go drive the 30 minutes to go get them now. After I shower.
@jsnakehole hugs mama. Trust me I understand. I basically ignored the fact I was pregnant altogether till after a few good confirmations, first tri can be scary.
It’s hard being on the caboose of the bmb too. I was with my 5yo and you just feel like you’re last to do everything. It kinda sucks.
@jsnakehole I totally understand what you are going through, I feel anxious that so many people know already and I’m still in the first tri (that feels like it will never end) I’m due on the 26th, hugs to you!!
@ecwk wow that’s some day already, glad your glasses weren’t lost!
@ecwk oh no! I’m so sorry your day took a turn. What great news though that you’re sunglasses were found! And the science center sounds fun! @jsnakehole it’s ok to not enjoy pregnancy. Big hugs to you honey @pghctwife that sling is beautiful!!!
I totally forgot we have a family get together thing tonight with DH’s side. It’ll be fun but I always get unwanted pregnancy/baby advice. Plus I’m starting to show already so my money is on at least one attempted belly touch. So if I’m bumping later it’s because I’m hiding in the bathroom lol!
It's a rainy weekend. My in laws are here so they are helpful. DD1 had a make up gymnastics class for the snow day a few weeks ago and it was awesome. Usually the daycare takes her there because it's Thursdays at 845 am (and right next to the daycare) so I've never gotten to see what goes on in a gymnastics class for 2 year olds before. It was hilarious. Then we went out for bagels and she passed out hard at naptime. No clue what we're going to do for the rainy afternoon though.
@ecwk Oh no - sorry to hear your science center visit was so stressful. But it sounds like DS had a good time!
@jsnakehole I'm kind of the same right now. Too stressed out to be happy. I keep thinking after XYZ I'll feel better...but there's just one more thing to worry about. Right now I'm thinking after my AS I'll feel better - but that's 6 weeks away, so who knows.
I need vacation ideas ladies! H and I are cancelling our trip to Spain for a few reasons - not just the cerclage. We'd like to go somewhere domestic for spring break, but H wants to go to some beer festival in Tucson and that doesn't sound fun at all to me - mainly cuz I can't participate. I can't swim, so beaches are kind of no go either... what's a city you've been to that's super fun for a pregnant lady with restrictions??
DH and I are currently laying on the couch avoiding all of the cleaning we should be doing. We did go out shopping this morning for clothes since nothing really fits me right now. Got some maternity tops from Macy's. I was super disappointed on how small the section was and how Old Navy only has maternity online.
I wanted to do some baby related and grocery shopping with DH today, but I forgot he's taking his car in for service in Denver, so he was gone before I even woke up. It snowed overnight, and I just got my car back from the shop, so I don't quite trust it on snow yet, so I'm just curled up on the couch watching the Olympics for now. Hopefully we'll be able to do some errands together tomorrow, but at least he gets to hang out with his sister and nephew this afternoon.

@hezzer78 I forget where you’re located, are you looking for something in driving distance? Check out Naples Florida, I’ve been a bunch of times and it’s like my favorite vacation spot! South of there is Marco Island, the beach is covered in shells so it’s not ideal for swimming. Shopping and dining is excellent and it’s a small beach town so everything is walking distance but it’s not a long walk
@hezzer78 I love Seattle, but it's a lot of walking and pretty cold, depending on when your spring break is. I also love northern California, but again, it's not super warm.
Me: 28, DH: 40 Married 9/28/13 DS born 11/12/15 EDD 8/13/18
@ecwk I live in Houston. Don't want to go to Chicago, Denver, or San Fran, but every place else is a possibility... I don't mind a lot of walking. We are kind of thinking NYC or Boston, but not sure yet.
Hey Ladies, nothing exciting going on over here. I need new sheets so I am trying to talk myself into going to the Macy’s, we shall see. Getting dressed and leaving the house these days seems like a big feat. It is even worse now that I am working from home. I feel like a hermit crab. It doesn’t help that my skin is a hot mess, so I rather not have to do the whole put make up to look some what decent part. Sounds like some of you ladies have had a full day already and I haven’t even accomplished washing my hair.
@hezzer78 I didn’t realize you were in Houston! I am too.
@jsnakehole hang in there. I never announced on social media with DS. I always thought I would after the next appointment but then was always scared I would jinx it or something so I never did. A friend posted pics of a baby shower when I was like 30 weeks and several people messaged me. I most likely won’t post anything this time either, but will probably end up with a picture of me at some point because I have some showers coming up. I’m 15 weeks now, and when I was sick with the flu at 14 weeks, I spent almost a whole day crying on and off because I was so worried about the baby. Being pregnant is tough. I stressed about different things the entire pregnancy Last time. The only thing I have going for me this time is that I have a 2.5 year old, so I don’t have as much time to think about it and it seems to be going faster. Hang in there and just lay around today if that’s what you need!
Also, if it makes you feel better, I’m with you on remembering to take vitamins and I’m just now drinking enough water. I felt like I barely drank any my first trimester.
ETA: not showers for me but for friends that are having their first. I felt the need to clarify!
