Re: weekly randoms 1/29
Baby was measuring 13 oz at 20w 1d so probably need to grab lots more 0-3 month sized stuff.
@catlady1215 - awesome news about your glucose test! I bet that is a relief! Also, yes. When we had our registry for DS, I was able to add stuff after it opened up my discount window. It was nice because at that point we already had our shower and I had an idea of what we needed so I was able to add it all and buy it at the discount. Andplusalso - yes! I was just wondering outloud to my mom last weekend about when that show (Unreal) would be returning. Thanks for the heads up!
@Amphibious22 - I’m glad y’all were able to make a decision on moving. I wish you the best in that adventure
@doxiemoxie212 - congrats on the freelance job! Also, if I didn’t already have an unexpired infant seat from when DS was an infant, I wouldn’t be getting/using one for this baby. I would just be skipping it and using the convertible from the start. (I will only be using the infant seat this time because we already have it, plus DS is still in his convertible and I plan to keep him rear facing in it as long as possible. So to not have to buy another seat, I’m using his old infant seat for DD and then once she’s about to outgrow it, DS will be closer to 4 and I will get him a different seat to front face in and DD can move up into the convertible he’s currently in. Basically I am cheap and I am trying to stretch out each seat as long as possible before dropping money on them. And hoping not to have to pay for an additional of the same kind of seat if the timing works out to only have one of each as they both progress through seats with their three year age gap).
@krashke ~ can you attach your badge to something when you don’t have pockets? Our badges had a slot punched into the top of them and we attached retracting belt clip things to them. Then they just clipped onto the waistband of our pants if we didn’t have pockets to put them on. Maybe you could do something like that.
@sabby2 - Congrats on the boy! Also good luck with going through your baby clothes storage. I need to start going through all the storage bins of baby stuff to find out what will work now that we know we are having a girl - it’s been so long that I don’t even remember what I have in there so I have no idea what we “need”. I can’t bring myself to start donating the “boy” stuff yet though. Because I don’t know if we are for sure done having kids. Part of me says we are, but part of me thinks no. And I would hate to get rid of it all (especially since most we didn’t have to pay for) and then decide we aren’t done having kiddos and have to buy all the clothes again. Gah. I don’t know.
Sorry to hear about YH’s uncle. I hope he is getting the treatment he needs. Is there anyone else in the family/business that can help?

The business is only MH and uncle. They just started it in June of last year. Business has picked up and they are at about the point where they need to start hiring, but we need to see how it all plays out with uncles health. So it’s all on DH in the mean time. Uncle has his appointment for answers is on a Friday. So we will know a lot more then. I feel bad it is all on DH because he is SO exhausted. And we are obviously all worried about uncles health too. So just a lot of wait and see for a couple weeks until we know more from lab work and such. And we are the only local family - so when family is coming in to be here for uncle, they are either staying with uncle or staying at our house.
