@mage14 good luck with the trigger shot. I did mine last Thursday and was nervous! It all wound up to be ok, I even had an issue getting all the hcg out of the bottle. I was terrified of the retrieval but I live to tell the tale
Oh god, I just got a VM from my doctor and its past office hours so I cant call back. The voicemail is so ominous. 'So we got the PGS testing back on your embryos...I was glad to see a good result today and so we'll consider that in light of some of this genetic testing'. That sounds....less than ideal, which of course has me all worried now. Whyyyyy call after office hours when I can't call back.
So my estrogen was 255 today and they said that’s great. They had me drop Gonal-F to 150IU and start on 75 IU of Menopur tonight. First monitoring scan on Wednesday!

@efavell02 bump month board. Like how we are on the infertility board, they make board for each month, so we would be due in October, so there is a board made for all other October moms so you can discuss ultrasound results, blood tests, what to buy etc... while pregnant. If you search here:
They have them for every month, but no october yet which is weird because they normally make them a month or two in advance
thanks for letting us know about the updated board, @kiwi2628. i did pop over there, but i have to say i'm a little hesitant to jump in. i feel like i have such a strong affinity for all the infertility warriors on this thread that it feels a little weird to be among so many women on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc pregnancies. i think i remember reading that it will eventually be time to "graduate" to a new board, and i'm at least wondering if there's a "first time moms" board. clearly i haven't explored much... so please excuse my daftness if it's very obvious.

@northbeach3 I know how you feel. I’m sitting here waiting for my 2nd beta and so nervous. I think even once you’re successful after IF you tend to have different anxieties than someone who hasn’t gone through IF. If things keep progressing normally, maybe I’ll feel like a normal mama. But that’s going to take a while. I still feel like a IF patient....

@northbeach3 Yes! My FET is this Friday!!! I'm excited but extremely nervous. My body hasn't cooperated as we had hoped so I'm nervous that it's just not going to work. I somehow managed to grow two follicles (and have a bunch of smaller ones) while being suppressed on Estrace. No effing clue how that happened. I went in for my suppression check on CD14 and that's when they found out. My LH was really high but my progesterone was only a 1 so I obviously hadn't ovulated yet. They still had me start my progesterone the next day in prep for the FET and said I shouldn't ovulate but I still might. I asked like 3 separate times if that was going to screw anything up and I was told "no" (only potential issue is multiples if I don't abstain) but I'm still nervous my body is trying to do its own thing and is not in sync with the artificial cycle they have me on. If this FET doesn't work, I'm going to do a natural FET next time.
For all of the ladies with BFPs: there is a PAIF board (https://forums.thebump.com/categories/pregnant-after-if) for women who are pregnant after infertility. It's where most of the ladies go that graduate from the IF board. You'll be in good company there.

So DH and I had "the talk" last night. We are going in to have a consult to go over the cycle with our RE on the 19th....but both of us agree that financially and emotionally we are done with treatments. If we had some frozen embryos, it would be a different story but we just can't justify paying another full round. It would mean putting a lot of our other financial goals (like buying a house) out of the picture for a very, very long time. And if it didn't work, then we would have just lost more time.
So unless the RE has something very convincing that would change our minds, we are stopping treatments with the goal of starting the adoption process within the next 2 years.

AFM we have one embryo that was frozen and biopsied for PGS testing. Praying that this one stays strong and tests normal!
@hoffmanr7- sorry to see your update. The financial aspect of this is so hard. We are pursuing Donor egg, but another good option if you are open to adoption is embryo adoption/donation. It can often be much cheaper and quicker than traditional adoption and you get to carry the baby too sorry if I am giving unsolicited advice but just wanted to mention it since we looked in that option as well!

@northbeach3 I get it. The PAIF is a bit slower for me and people are more off-pace from your own pregnancy, which is why I am jumping to the Oct board, but I get wanting to stay with IF people. If it makes you feel any better, most BMB have a weekly PAIF check in, and I know (have been talking with) 3 other people ( @pebbledam and @Sailing_Mama and @zwink1 ) who all dealt with various levels of IF and are over on the Oct board, so you would be in great company!

ER went as planned today. Eggs retrieved and off to the Embrologist! I waited almost 2 hours after I arrived for my ER, so I got a few more zzz's in before they went in.
5 Day transfer would be Sunday so fx for those embabies to grow!
We ended up with 29 eggs and hoping to know the quality levels soon.

We got our final fertilization report today! We wound up with 3 frozen, one frozen on day 3 that we already knew about and two blasts! I’m super excited. @hoffmanr7 i know that's a difficult conclusion to come to, but its really hard to separate the finances from it. i'm always impressed and amazed that women have gone through multiple IVF cycles given the cost. i was curious to know more about how embryo donation worked because there's got to be plenty of women who are not going to transfer all of their embryos. in any event, good luck as you take your next steps in the process.

So my estrogen was 255 today and they said that’s great. They had me drop Gonal-F to 150IU and start on 75 IU of Menopur tonight. First monitoring scan on Wednesday!

AFM we have one embryo that was frozen and biopsied for PGS testing. Praying that this one stays strong and tests normal!
@hoffmanr7- sorry to see your update. The financial aspect of this is so hard. We are pursuing Donor egg, but another good option if you are open to adoption is embryo adoption/donation. It can often be much cheaper and quicker than traditional adoption and you get to carry the baby too
Diagnosis: Mild Endo, DOR (AMH of 1.5), Poor Quality Eggs/embryos, Displaced Window of Implantation (ERA Post Receptive)

@hoffmanr7 i know that's a difficult conclusion to come to, but its really hard to separate the finances from it. i'm always impressed and amazed that women have gone through multiple IVF cycles given the cost. i was curious to know more about how embryo donation worked because there's got to be plenty of women who are not going to transfer all of their embryos. in any event, good luck as you take your next steps in the process.
