@sidilly I was honestly wondering the same thing because I have no idea. Although I think it also depends on the ultrasound tech and how good they are at seeing everything. It is weird that it can change so much though!

@hoffmanr7 it absolutely is. I’m glad that you were both able to take the day off to process, though. I hope you can take all the time you need to grieve. Any idea what next steps might be?
@kiwi2628 I caved and tested the morning before. I think it helped the nerves, though I’m not sure.
@ed2018 this might be too late but I had to do my own trigger shot since my husband was on nights at the time. It wasn’t bad at all. My nurse drew a target area on my right side since I’m right handed. I sat on a chair and turned to the side so I could see it.
@kiwi2628 I tested once on 5 days past transfer and it was a BFN, but I didn’t put a lot of stock in it since it was somewhat early. I’m going to test again the day before the beta test just so I feel prepared. How about u?

@J1006 not late at all. I have to do the trigger shot at midnight. So I’m just relaxing until then. My dr marked a spot for me so that was helpful too. Sitting on a chair sounds good, will definitely try that. Thank you!
@efavell02 i was definitely too scared to test even though i have a ton of cheapie wondfo sticks. i looked on google images and saw that faint lines started as early as 5dpt for IVF ladies. based on my beta number today, it wouldn't even register on a pee stick... especially the cheap ones. i was trying to use the calculator to determine what day implantation likely happened and it seems like it was a day or two after transfer. i read that it usually takes 3 days to detect hcg on beta. came across this cool database that provides common ranges: https://www.betabase.info/
thinking about a little blastocyst floating around and dividing and trying to find a home is both crazy and fascinating.
best of luck to all the monday beta ladies trying to make it through the weekend without POS!
@sidilly do you have your ET tomorrow? didn't see it on the spreadsheet, but i think that's day 5 for you. @beachbunnyxo123 is your ET saturday?
I dont know whats happening for me. I took a test at 3dp5dt just to see where my trigger was at, and there was just a shadow...like 98% gone (with FMU), so I figured by the next day it should be gone. I tested yesterday AM (5dp5dt) with FMU and there was a line. It came up at the 4 minute mark and it was pink. Light, but there. I tested last night and it was lighter, but also wasn't FMU, so I wasn't worried. I just tested this morning (FMU) and its barely there. I know I have to wait and see, and I guess it could have been the trigger (I took it 13 days ago), but since it was so light at 3dpt and yesterday mornings was darker, I think its a CP. Obviously I have to wait and see, maybe tomorrow will be darker, but I am feeling sad and worried now.
@kiwi2628 Sending good positive vibes you way!!! Try not to get discouraged, it's still early!

Going in for the transfer today. All three still alive, one early cavitating and two very close to early blast. So relieved they are still there for me. Will be transferring two.
@halfanewt we haven't talked about next steps yet. The clinic encouraged us to come in for a free consult to go over the cycle and discuss what our options are. Ikm sure we will but we bjoth wanted to take some time to process everything. We were really banking on having embryos left for frozen transfers. Not sure if we could afford another full cycle.
@kiwi2638 HPT are not that reliable at all, so don't get discouraged. With my CP I got a very faint positive on day 7 post 6 day transfer and I had already started bleeding. Then got a negative 2 days later and then my beta was close to 400 at 13 days post transfer. With my FET I did get a very faint positive on EHPT and a negative beta 2 days later. So go figure...
Well, I found out this morning that I'm doing a 3 day transfer tomorrow. Unfortunately they didn't give me much info other than to say that they are "good looking embryos". I'm feeling a little bummed because they much not look great if they think I need to do a 3 day transfer rather than wait until 5 days. Hopefully I'll get some more info tomorrow!

Hi ladies. I had my scan today and they said I have 3 follicles between 20 and 17.9 and 4 between 14 and 16 on right side and 1 follicle of 20.1 of 18 and 4 between 14-16 on left side. I had blood tests too and they said depending on results and on what doctor said they will call later to say if I will have ER Monday or Wednesday. Is better to wait or to trigger with this number?.hope everyone is doing well and we will have good news soon
Ok, I have to vent about my clinic's (lack of) communication for a minute. I know some other ladies on here are teachers too so maybe they feel my pain. I called the clinic today to ask that my dr call me today because if it is a negative beta on Sunday, and she calls me Monday to talk about next steps, I can't pick up because I teach 3rd grade and can't willy nilly pick up the phone when I have 25 eight year olds in front of me (today I have no kids;it's a grading day). It's one thing to pick up a two minute call for my trigger or transfer directions because i absolutely have to, it's another thing to talk for 15 minutes to my dr while I'm supposed to be supervising and teaching. The nurse today said well maybe she can but has a full schedule, and she'd probably have to call me Monday. I asked if she could call the half hour before my kids come in the room, or the half hour I have for lunch. The nurse said no, she will call when she has time. I said, well I can't necessarily pick up when the dr has time, so when do you propose that I speak to her? I also can't take off more time right now because I took off so many days during IVF. The nurse literally had no proposed solution. I am soooooo frustrated. It's like, I as a teacher give up lunches/bathroom breaks/prep time all the time to help a kid in need. Why can't the dr that I am paying tens of thousands of dollars take 15 minutes of her hour lunch to call me today? We only have a 35% chance of that beta being positive because of the embryo quality and I want to move ahead with an FET of the one frozen embryo asap. Ok. Rant over.

@mage14 I would think that stimming for 3 more days would be way too much for an ER on Wednesday. You'd probably lose those 20s since they would become too big. If it were me, I would ask to have another u/s tomorrow morning and if it's decided to still have you stim another night then I would ask to have another u/s on Sunday as well. I think I stimmed for one or two more nights once I had follicles at 20. I triggered with my biggest at 23 mm and likely lost that one as it was over mature by the time of ER.

@efavell02. Is there anyone you could call to cover your class for 15 minutes? When I was waiting for my final embryology report I wanted to talk to her not just get a message. I told my embryologist this and she said she would be willing to be on hold for a couple minutes. My assistant principal told me to page her and she would come ASAP to sit in with my class. Luckily when the embryologist called she was literally right outside my door. Not sure how open you are with the people at work though.
that nurse needs to get it together though. This process is stressful enough. She should be able to make arrangements to call you during your open times.
@efavell02 ugh, that sounds terrible. do they not allow you to call them back? or is it that the times you'd be free, they're at lunch or on break or something? i know that this is only adding stress, but i'm hoping something happens to work out. @J1006 had some good suggestions... are any other teachers on their off time that could come in?
@marfi236 holy cow, i'm sure that was unexpected! Well, the little forming blastocyst stands a better chance in your womb than in a petri dish, so sending your womb positive vibes! don't hesitate to ask them why they opted for day 3 vs day 5 transfer! i know it's hard to speak up, but if you can't, maybe nudge your partner to ask!
@mage14 it seems like your follicles are pretty close... i think the rule of thumb is follicles over 15mm have good likelihood of containing mature eggs, but as @tosh24 mentioned, there's also a risk of overmaturation with the 20+ mm follicles. definitely ask what their thinking is if they're pushing you until Wednesday.
@kiwi2628 i'm with the other ladies about the unreliability of those HPT! give it a few more days, and resist the urge to test.
@kristimh80 wow, you've got a lot of eggos brewing! sounds like they're doing a good job monitoring so that you don't get OHSS. fx for tons of mature eggs!
@efavell02 I am sorry to hear you are dealing with that. I recently got a new job when I started this whole process and had many set backs because of phone tag. It’s really frustrating. I’m hoping you are able to get some time or another teacher can cover the class if you receive a phone call. I’m sending positive vibes your way
@marfi236 sending you postive thoughts as this process constantly changes.
@kristimh80 happy to hear about your progress. They are being proactive with the monitoring
@sidilly happy transfer day! Wishing you all the best.

@efavell02 that stinks that they are not being more flexible. Hopefully you can find some to cover your class so you can take the call. My RE has given me his cell number to call him back when I’ve missed calls. He also uses the OHMD app if I need to contact him.
@efavell02 that is frustrating! I’m surprised they won’t let you “book” an appointment. Maybe that’s an option - then just say you want to teleconference it? Fx that it won’t be needed!
@hoffmanr7 makes total sense. I hope you’re able to process peacefully and that when you do talk to them, they have an awesome solution in mind.

@kristimh80, thank you! @marfi236, sending you sticky vibes! Just got the day 1 call after ER. I did have 11 eggs, but only 5 mature, and only 4 fertilized. They want me to come on Monday for a 3dt. Now I am nervous thinking about it since my RE thought it would be a td5 a couple of days ago. Nurse said they always tell the patients this and to wait for a call on Monday.....that seems so long of not knowing what's going on!
@laurengon82 & @tosh24 thanks for checking on me, Sorry I didn’t get back sooner! About 5dp ER I felt much better with the pain & bloating, thanks for the advice and concern !!!! I got 5 frosties on Wednesday and my new transfer date isn’t until March 14th. My life got busy again since my cycle was stopped & l wasn’t checking this board like I had been. Good luck to all in the 2WW! Congratulations to all the BFP!!! I will be lurking but I probably won’t be posting.
AFM the embryologist called on Wednesday to let me know 2 more embryos were frozen. So I have 3 frozen. She said one of them was an AA and the other AB. I can’t remember what they said about the embryo frozen the day of transfer. I’m pretty sure it was A something also. This tww seems like it is taking forever!
@knottie821 thank you. My er visit was this morning. I slept most of the afternoon and now am on the couch relaxing. Did you use a heating pad for the cramps? I was out of it when I left too. They said I had 16 eggs. I will find out tomorrow how many matured. We will have to wait for pgs:Pgd Testing for a month so I won’t know final counts for awhile. I am still trying to figure out how all that works... Hope you are feeling better today and good luck with the transfer!
@ed2018 FX for your fertilization report today! @knottie821 Monday is just around the corner and I hope you get really good news. @efavell02 Good luck with beta today. I am pretty much in the same situation with my clinic communication wise. I am thinking about booking a face to face consult with my RE the moment I get my beta, if negative. Sometimes I feel like they'd much rather go to voicemail and leave a stupid message there rather than have a meaningful conversation with the patient and answer some real questions. @laurengon82 3 frozen is pretty darn good. I wish I had your luck .
We got our BFP today! Our dr called and our hcg was 255! We had taken a HPT yesterday morning and it was positive, so we were expecting it, but we nervous to see what the hcg level was. I go back in Tuesday for a repeat beta. FX it keeps going up! So nervous! We've gone through a MC before, so we are super anxious but I feel so grateful and happy TODAY, so that's what I'm focusing on. This was the best bday present for my husband I really hope more ladies get good news this month!!

@kiwi2628 I caved and tested the morning before. I think it helped the nerves, though I’m not sure.
@northbeach3 congrats!! Fx for you on Monday!
@shortstack930 good luck tomorrow night! So exciting!
@halfanewt @northbeach3 congrats!!
@marfi236 welcome to the 7 club
@ed2018 this might be too late but I had to do my own trigger shot since my husband was on nights at the time. It wasn’t bad at all. My nurse drew a target area on my right side since I’m right handed. I sat on a chair and turned to the side so I could see it.

Ok. Rant over.

that nurse needs to get it together though. This process is stressful enough. She should be able to make arrangements to call you during your open times.

@marfi236 good luck tomorrow! I hope they let you know why they wanted day 3 rather than 5. If not, don’t hesitate to ask if you want to know!
@kiwi2628 keeping fx for you!

@kristimh80, thank you!
@marfi236, sending you sticky vibes!
@ed2018 good luck with your ER!
Hope you are feeling better today and good luck with the transfer!
@laurengon82 thank you.
@marfi236 congrats on your transfers.
