I know everyone is different - but please don't assume that because you can't feel anything that nothing is happening. AFM - where is my frickin AF?! I'm sorry - I know it's a minor thing to be waiting on compared to ye all, but I'm just so frustrated. 9 days late today and barely any spotting. My clinic doesn't do BCP before starting - so it is just a case of waiting it out. I've been waiting to get started since last November and I'm just making myself upset now. I'm actually going to hover between the Feb group and this one - I'm not abandoning ye all!! - it's just for my own peace of mind xx (actually @northbeach3 - do you mind if I clone your spreadsheet and share it with the Feb ladies? hi ladies, @roisis inquired about copying the google sheet for the feb board ladies. i hope you don't mind, but i just added a "february tab" to the worksheet and updated the title of the google doc to "The Bump 2018 cycles." I did this because I geek out about data (i teach statistics). My plan was to do a "summary" at the end of the january cycle to illustrate the range in numbers retrieved vs. fertilized (and share it of course). But... I know many of you are on the cusp of february transfers, so this will allow us to continue to track your progress into the coming months.

@hoffmanr7 I am so sorry about the BFN. All BFNs suck but when you get to this point in the journey, I can imagine they sting even more. Definitely let yourself feel all the feels and grieve. I hope you and your RE can come up with a plan moving forward that gives you some renewed hope.

beta today was positive! I was literally shaking when I called them back. Either 247 or 274, thought I heard one, portal says the other. I go back in Friday afternoon, get the results Saturday morning.
Anyone else have high estrogen levels at day 4 labs? Not sure what mine are exactly, but they called to decrease my Follistim and having me come back tomorrow to check levels again. Sure it's fine, but idk why it makes my nervous.

@kristim80 dont worry too much- I would say half of people going through IVF (from what I have seen) have their follistim/gonal/menopur/whatever increased or decreased during the cycle. It just means they want to either slow down the growth a bit (so you dont overstim or grow too fast) or help them grow more/faster. Totally normal.

Good morning ladies. I trigger tonight and then procedure Saturday morning. Worked out nice with my crazy work schedule. Did anyone have a problem giving themselves a trigger shot? My husband works nights and I was wondering if it’s easy to do it myself? Thanks in advance
@kristimh80 I agree with @kiwi2628. I was super bummed that things were slow to start and they doubled my dose. I thought I was doomed but then it worked out fine and they retrieved 11 eggs. Close monitoring and dosage adjustments is why we pay them the big bucks!

@halfanewt I am so happy for you. I'm glad that at least one of us got a positive. Both DH and I took the rest of the day off yesterday after we got the news. Nick has always been pretty upbeat and stoic through this whole process but he took the news hard. This was the first time I've seen him cry during our whole infertility journey. I think we both feel a lot differently about this negative than the rest. This feels more like an actual loss....because it is.
@efavell02@sidilly Thanks ladies! You both make great points!! I think I left the dr's office thinking everything was wonderful! Even though in my head I was thinking my eggs were growing faster than I expected. Just along for the hormonal roller coaster ride!

So I got my Day 1 update today! All 12 eggs were mature but only 7 fertilized. Now to wait until tomorrow to find out how they are doing and when we will be transferring! Tonight I start my PIO injections and I think hubs is a little too excited about them My RE gave me a prescription for EMLA cream so I hope that helps with the pain!

afm, went in this morning for my 1st beta (only 6dp5dt)... i'm nervous b/c they're testing "early" relative to everyone else's first beta. i have been having terrible sleep... waking up at 2am and having racing thoughts about being pregnant or not, then work, then back to pregnancy, and not being able to get back to sleep. i'm running on less than 8 hours over the last two days and i think it's making me have weird psychosomatic symptoms. . . . .
*TW* and holy crap... just as i'm typing this, i got my call. the nurse said it's positive at 20.9... hoping for 40 or greater on monday. so i guess maybe i am just feeling gross and nauseous. i hope i can finally sleep without my mind running. [off to go google beta ranges and try to keep some semblance of reality]

@hoffmanr7 I’m sorry to hear that your husband is taking it hard but I’m glad to hear that he feels comfortable to express his emotions. I feel like there must be so many times when our SOs might feel a little disconnected since we are the ones physically going through the treatment. Hugs to you.

@shortstack930 Do you have any idea how much AFC can vary from month to month and what can influence it? I had a check in December and they counted close to 30. In January I had only 9 on my initial scan and then the number went up to 18 on day 5. I had about 12-13 mature follicles by trigger day but ended up with only 8 eggs and the rest was empty follicles. So I'm thinking I probably need to pick a better month for IVF#3 if need be.

afm, went in this morning for my 1st beta (only 6dp5dt)... i'm nervous b/c they're testing "early" relative to everyone else's first beta. i have been having terrible sleep... waking up at 2am and having racing thoughts about being pregnant or not, then work, then back to pregnancy, and not being able to get back to sleep. i'm running on less than 8 hours over the last two days and i think it's making me have weird psychosomatic symptoms.

and holy crap... just as i'm typing this, i got my call. the nurse said it's positive at 20.9... hoping for 40 or greater on monday. so i guess maybe i am just feeling gross and nauseous. i hope i can finally sleep without my mind running. @hoffmanr7 I’m sorry to hear that your husband is taking it hard but I’m glad to hear that he feels comfortable to express his emotions. I feel like there must be so many times when our SOs might feel a little disconnected since we are the ones physically going through the treatment. Hugs to you.
