Thanks so much everyone! Now to get to Saturday- I have my pre and post laser acupuncture set up (she does it in the room where you transfer, so its a smooth process from laser to ET to another laser. Yay!
Its where they use low level lasers to stimulate blood flow instead of needles. My practice's acupuncturists (we have 3) do needle stimulation during the stim process and then on the ET they do the laser
@kiwi2628 I've never heard of laser acupuncture either - sounds pretty cool! So transfer is tomorrow?! Good luck!!!! @beachbunnyxo123 can't wait to hear how things look today!
Well I officially start stims tonight! I can't even believe it but I'm excited and ready to get started!! I was initially supposed to start tomorrow night but they called after reviewing my labs and it sounds like they have tons of girls on the Jan schedule so they're starting some of us a day earlier to spread things out a bit! Eek!!!!! So tonight the hubs will do my injection and my plan is to do my own tomorrow morning. I might shit my pants. I still can't wrap my head around giving myself a shot.
AFM... Even though I'm waiting on my donor I was able to schedule my HSG and saline sonogram for next week. Already had them done but when we are able to transfer it will have been over a year so they suggest it again. I'm happy to get it out of the way so I can hopefully have no hold ups come April. Although a little nervous since the last time they did it I was knocked out because they dis it at the same time as my laproscopic surgery....

@50Wife I’m excited for you!! Please don’t shit your pants! You got this girl! Trust me, I had to do my own injections a few times.. my advice DONT HESITATE JUST JAB THAT SUCKER IN! It’s really not that bad. The worst part for me with injections was a lil reaction from the Cetrocide I got Red at the injection site for like an hour. Let do this shit GURL( not literally though )
@ndz2018 yes absolutely trying to not literally do this shit Thanks for the pep talk and info!!! I think once I do the first one I'll be ok...just a matter of doing it. For now, it's a gonal F pen at night that the hubs will do for me and menopur in the AM that I'm going to attempt on my own! But I have cetrotide waiting for me!
@rallykat14 first one will be tonight! I'm happy you're able to take care of this kind of stuff now! Fingers crossed that once April is here, you're ready to just rock and roll!!! What's going on with your donor at this point?
@50Wife Go for it! I did mine at the same time got 29 eggs retrieved!! 21 fertilized (withICSI) and 12 made to day 5 PGS testing and have 5 PGS normal embryos and 3 mosaics( contain normal and abnormal cells) but we have 5 beautiful lil star seeds waiting for a us in March! Four 6BB females and one 6BA male! I was just gonna tell them to put the strongest one in BUT H was like, listen what if two of them are the same grade/strength? Do we want a stranger picking the sex of our child? AND we just went through all of this SHOOT let’s find out what they are! So we did
@RVAmom315 I was hoping someone would enjoy that comment
@ndz2018 Your numbers are amazing!!! And I totally don't blame you for putting yourselves in charge after going through all of this crap!! We're also doing ICSI and testing and I think we're going to have them just pick the best looking one (hoping that we even have more than 1 to choose from at the end of this all!). I don't think I'd be able to decide. I texted my husband one day while at work and asked what he'd choose if we were given the chance. I'm not even exaggerating when I say he was randomly texting me, ALL DAY, totally stressed out trying to decide lol. So we'll let them pick, I can't handle more stress!
@50wife GL! The gonal-f pen was not nearly as terrifying as I thought it would be. I even had to look to see if the needle was in bc I didn’t feel it. Hope t goes well for you!
@rallykat14 I bet you’re ready to get everything checked off and have no holds! Any updates on your donor?
@beachbunnyxo123 Late to respond- IF is considered covered by the ADA as reproductive heath is a major part of your overall health. As @KristoKekerooni said, it is covered under FMLA. I work for a health center (primary care, OB/GYN, optometry, u/s, dental, psych, behavioral health- one stop shop). We have a crappy set-funded plan, too. MH works for a University with a teaching hospital. They don’t even cover their own RE. F*ed up. I hope that you don’t have to deal with additional stress during these next few months during IVF.
@jrm_14 It's going! One week down, one to go. I've already emailed my RE asking about next steps and he's like calm down, let's cross that bridge if we get to it. I'm glad my RE is a bit more hopeful that I am!
@50Wife We have always talked about sons and he happens to be the strongest looking one so I think we’ll go with him. As we all know life doesn’t always work out the way we want so I’ll keep my expectations with my FET Low, though im hoping it takes the first time. I’m just ready, ya know? H reasoning for sons is Bc he knows how wild I was as teenager and 20s he fear of having a mini me is REAL LOL! I asked him last night how he feels knowing that we will def be having a girl at some point.. he said he feels much better knowing she’ll have an older brother to watch out for her my heart melted!
@ndz2018 their paperwork said to expect a transfer about 4 weeks after retrieval. So if retrieval is the week of 1/29 and everything goes smoothly...hopefully it'll be done by the first week of March!
Just got the call!!! Have to be at the surgery center at 6AM Monday for my septum removal surgery!!! Is it weird I’m really looking forward to this????
@50wife yay for starting! And I am in awe of all the women who have given themselves shots. I give injections for a living and I was unable to do it myself because I am such a chicken
@beachbunnyxo123 you had another monitoring today, right? I hope it went well!
@kiwi2628 I’m actually more afraid of someone else giving me a shot! Last night DH was like why don’t you let me do it tonight? And I was like hell no you are not poking me with any needles!

@shortstack930 I get that. Usually when I was doing the trigger shot for IUIs, my coworkers would do it (and they are nurses so easy peasy), but once my H had to do one and I gave him the needle and he asked if I was ready and I literally RAN from him. In my own house. Took me 10 minutes to gather the courage to let him do it. But then he did almost all my stims for both IVF cycles
@kiwi2628@Avrilmai oh I do NOT want to do this. But I also can't rely on my husband being able to drop everything to come home and do it for me so I have to. I'm not good with needles so I'm making sure I do my first one tomorrow while he's home incase I pass out!
@shortstack930 Haha I'm the total opposite! My husband was texting me last night about working overtime today and he gave me the hours that were actually AM, but I thought were PM and I was like NOOOOOOOOOO MY SHOT!!!! YOU NEED TO BE HOME! The first time he gave me my trigger shot, it took us a good 20 minutes before he actually did it. And the entire time I had this nervous giggle with simultaneous tears streaming down my face bc I was terrified but so nervous that all I could do was laugh/cry. I would have loved to by a fly on the wall for all of it.
@50wife aw you got this girl!! Excited for you!! Personally I prefer to give the shots myself I was super nervous but now it doesn’t bo Her me. The PIO will be a different story.
@ndz2018 excited for you! Hoping all goes well and smoothly on Monday!
@kiwi2628 is everything all set for you tomorrow? I’m so excited for you! Went this morning doing another night of stims tonight back again tomorrow with trigger tomorrow or Sunday now

@50Wife How was the first night of stims?

So we did
@ndz2018 Your numbers are amazing!!!
@Emmasemm and @rvamom315 How is the wait going???
@jrm_14 It's going! One week down, one to go. I've already emailed my RE asking about next steps and he's like calm down, let's cross that bridge if we get to it. I'm glad my RE is a bit more hopeful that I am!

@ndz2018 excited for you! Hoping all goes well and smoothly on Monday!
@kiwi2628 is everything all set for you tomorrow? I’m so excited for you! Went this morning doing another night of stims tonight back again tomorrow with trigger tomorrow or Sunday now
