This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Re: IF Testing and Treatment - Week of 01/15
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IUI #2 w/ letrozole, Gonal-F, progesterone
How are things going?: So far, so good. I've been treating this cycle like there's no possibility I could be KU, and it's made it really easy. I'm also committed to not testing until Beta day (which is still 8 days away), and I feel like that has made things easier as well. Just hanging in there, going about life. I've been doing a lot of yoga and I am loving it.
Any questions?:
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? I wanted to be an actor or a screenwriter because I liked to create stories and then act them out for people. I used to write plays and make my friends act them with me. I do regret that I never joined theater in college, because I think I would have had a lot of fun. I also wanted to be a librarian at one point, which seems the polar opposite of actor.
@kiwi2628 GL today!!
Diagnosis (if you've been): DOR and autoimmune
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF#3
How are things going?:
Ladies - I am PUPO! Thanks so much for all the good vibes and support over the weekend - that was the longest weekend, and this morning I was shaking and throwing up I was so nervous, especially every time my phone rang in case it was the clinic.
But now the transfer went smoothly, we have a 12 cell which was starting to compact in one area (and had gone from 8 cells to 12 between 7.30am and 12.30), assisted hatching done and now we have to wait. I'm just back from acupuncture and DH is taking me out for steak tonight.
Now the next step is for that embie to get all snuggly in my ute, grab hold of a great spot, hold on tight and grow, grow grow!
Any questions?: Not for today.
GTKY: I wanted to be a vet! (@kiwi2628 a little jealous that's what you do) I started spending school holidays at the vets from 12 years old already and by 14 I also was allowed to help at the big wild animal rescue place in our county at which time I could already stomach tube a seal pup single handed ;-) Wanting to be a vet definitely stemmed from my love of horses, and our yard vet (who was the vet equivalent of Dr Dreamy) definitely encouraged me further - I spent 5 summers driving around the countryside with him. He's actually now still a good family friend.
@halfanewt good luck with your transfer today
@kiwi2628 good luck with your ER today, waiting to hear how it goes later

@halfanewt GL with your transfer! Hopefully you have a relaxing evening planned after the transfer with some nice treats for yourself.
@madspunk I am feeling the exact same way this cycle - somehow that makes it easier, which is strange
@kiwi2628 And @halfanewt GL today!
Diagnosis: AMA, MFI (low morph)
Status (TWW/WTO/TTA): TWW (3dpiui)
What are you doing this cycle: IUI #2
How are thing going? Pretty good, as @madspunk said above, I’m just treating this cycle as unsuccessful. I don’t know why but it’s making this TWW easier. Thrilled to pieces though that DH’s morph went from 0% to 3%. Amazing.
Any questions?
GTKY: I wanted to be a nurse - but considering I was horrible in science and failed biology, I figured that wouldn’t be a good choice.

@madspunk girl I give you so much credit for trying to be as cool as possible about this treatment cycle. I know you say you’re acting like you’re out but I’m hoping so much that you’re not and that this is it for you!
@emmasemm PUPO yas girl! Fx so hard for a stickie embaby for you!!!
@halfanewt GL today!!! So excited for you!
@KristoKekerooni been thinking about you friend!!! Hope that AF shows before Wednesday. Any twinges of anything?!
Wow is we have so much going on here!! So excited to see so many of our strong women moving forward in treatment!!! Rooting so hard for every single one of you!!
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): IVF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):
Stimming for ER
How are things going?:
This is tougher than I thought it would be. The injections are nothing, it’s the waiting between monitoring appointments to see what’s going on. I go back for again tomorrow for BW and US
Any questions?
How do you distract during this time? Don’t get me wrong every cycle is tough but with the frequency of the appointments for IVF, the financial commitment, pressure to not compare your progress to others, and so many med changes I’ve had a hard time. Any suggestions welcome.
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?
I also wanted to be a vet, shout out to the coolest cat out there @kiwi2628 for making it happen!
ETA- comment for @madspunk disappeared somehow
@madspunk it’s weird gs that help us cope, but as long as it is helping you then keep it up. On the other hand I’m keeping my fx for you of course
@beachbunnyxo123 To your question, I don’t have a magic wand, but you are quite right. I had been TTC for 2.5 years when we did our first IVF and I thought I knew all about torture for each month’s TWW, but IVF is a whole different level. There is a podcast (I’ll look it out as I can’t remember which one) which talks about the stress of IVF - and it exactly says its due to the high number of short duration waits you go through - baseline, wondering if you did the injections right, US, but then waiting until later in the day for the BW, then one or two days later all over again, repeated 3-8 times over two weeks, then ER, then waking up to know how many eggs, fert report, growth report, transfer, freeze report. In person visits, messages on portals, phone calls. It’s like a test of sanity to even the most mentally stable people. And it can really have a physical effect on you - cortisol etc levels in the blood, Heart rate etc.
Several people have mentioned that if you once get “bad” news then seeing the clinic’s number come up on your phone can invoke a kind of PTSD.
Sorry, long story short, I will find the podcast tonight and send the link as it discusses different coping strategies to try!
Oh and despite how tough it is at the time - I am sure you will get through it.
And when you need support, we’re here. Don’t be shy.

@emmasemm woohoo!!!! FX so hard for you!
@kiwi2628 wishing you so much good luck today, you've got this!!!
Diagnosis (if you've been): primarily MFI (OAT)
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFFET
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): treatment
How are things going?: so far, so good. Transfer bright and early tomorrow am. I'm doing okay doing these PIO shots myself. H tried doing one Sat night and I had to actually stick myself because he thought he was going to be sick. That was funny. He sucked it up and did it Sun night, though, so we've made progress, haha. Now I'm back to flying solo. I feel like an 80 yr old with these hips though. Ouch.
Any questions?: nope.
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?
So, funny story, my bff and I were going to move to South America in the jungle, build a house, and provide a rehab home for a bunch of wild animals. Yyeeaahhh, that was a no, but we were really committed for a while. We had drawings of the layout of the house and everything.
@RVAmom315 so glad for such a good improvement on YHs sample!!! Fx for you!!!
OMG, @emmasemm ! I prefer to say you are PASP- PREGNANT and STAYING pregnant!!! I am crossing all my fingers and toes that this little one is stubborn and has good grip!! Beta day is...? And are you testing before?
@RVAmom315 , Fingers crossed for you! What caused the morph jump? Incidental or was he doing something specific?
@beachbunnyxo123 , remember that time we were supposed to by cycle buddies and stim together? Anyway, You are rocking this. I can only imagine (for now) what it's like to have so many stop-starts with the wait. Ugh. I am not looking forward to that. for type A personalities, like I think most of us are, it can be down-right torture. Big hugs, you are doing awesome. @emmasemm seems like she has good advice.
Diagnosis (if you've been): MFI, RPL
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTFK (Who the f* knows)
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Waiting for period, which will apparently never show...
How are things going?: Well they aren't. So... It's really frustrating. and I know me stressing about it isn't helping, but I can't exactly not stress. Ugh. This is ruining everything!
Any questions?: Someone come stab me. Or someone who is on their period come stand close so we sync.
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? Actually, a scientist or a doctor. So at least I am one of those? *shrug*

@RVAmom315 so happy for you guys that the morph changed! glad to hear this TWW is seeming a bit easier
@beachbunnyxo123 this whole experience can really play with your mind and your emotions. I hope you find a coping mechanism that brings you some peace, even if it is just for a few moments. Sending all the good thoughts your way
@zwink1 so exciting. I'll be thinking of you!
Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): benched
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): benched due to cysts, once off the bench will do IUI #1
How are things going?: they could be better. I really want to go to yoga, but I also have this fear of another cyst rupturing.
Any questions?: Genetic counseling- did you do it or not? why or why not? My RE gave us the option to do genetic testing on me, then on DH if necessary. I'm leaning toward yes, he is leaning to no.
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? I wanted to be an attorney for a while, but by the time I was in high school I realized that was not where I would be happy.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): AHHHHHHHH actual IVF stuff!!!!!!
How are things going?: Guys it's fucking happening. Actually fucking happening!!! Meds are being delivered tomorrow! My insurance is legit and I paid my copays for the meds (I 1,000,000,000,000% realize how lucky I am to have only paid that), baseline/injection details tomorrow morning so I should know when I'll start stims then! My glucose went down to 91 so my RE will be happy! I'm so excited but I might also throw up! Omg we're doing this.
Any questions?: talk to me in a few days

I sobbed like a baby before because I am a giant chicken shit, but overall it was fast, the drugs were great and I am having some moderate to severe cramping, but its managable with my heating pad. Oh, and I got 10 eggs! My doctor was very pleased since 10 compared to last cycle is literally 2 1/2 times what I had. Not sure how many are mature- I will find out tomorrow with the fert report!
Any questions?:

@50Wife you got this!!! I am so excited for you to start!!!
After repsonding to everyone (and my drugs) I am so full of joy and excitement and love for everyone.

@emmasemm, yay for being PUPO! Sending so much positive energy your way! Your experiences at the animal rescue as a kid sound so cool, my younger self would be very jealous. (Older self realizes that I am not emotionally cut out for being a vet.)
@halfanewt, sending positive your energy as well for a great transfer today!
@RVAMom315, that's awesome news about YH's morphology numbers.
@beachbunnyxo123, I'm sorry all the waiting is taking a toll on you. I've been trying to take up meditation in the hopes that it will help whenever I finally get to start my IVF cycle, but I don't know...it's already hard to clear my mind even temporarily and I can imagine that it will only get harder.
@zwink1, GL with the transfer tomorrow! I worry that my husband is going to be bad at helping with the shots too, though I've been trying to give him some pep talks. I love the South American wildlife rescue childhood dream, that sounds like something my friends and I would have come up with. (Instead we drew out incredibly detailed plans for the stables where we were going to have a ton of horses. I'm now 34 and have still never even ridden a horse!)
@KristoKekerooni, ugh, I'm so sorry your period still hasn't showed up! I kept checking the IF thread all weekend hoping to see a better update from you. I'm sorry things are so frustrating and stressful right now.
@AvrilMai, we did the genetic carrier screening and I came back positive for 2 things, so now we're waiting for DH's results. We both agreed that it's better to know and make choices based on that knowledge now than to discover that our child has some horrible disorder once I'm already pregnant and our choices are much more limited. I'm glad we're doing it, especially now that we know that IVF is our only option.
@50Wife, yayyyy, I'm excited for you! And yay for your glucose going down too, woot!
@kiwi2628, huzzah for 10 eggs! I'm glad the procedure wasn't as bad as you were anticipating. FX for the fertilization report tomorrow!
Diagnosis (if you've been): MFI, Low AMH
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO, I guess? Still WFIVFConsult, really.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): DH finally got his second SA done last week and it confirmed that we're dealing with low sperm count (1.24 Mil). Their suggestion is to go ahead with the IVF consult to see whether that doctor thinks we need to do anything prior to starting IVF, rather than immediately having him referred to a male infertility specialist. They are going to do an ultrasound on him as soon as insurance OKs it to make sure they can't spot anything else going on.
How are things going?: Still okay. It's super frustrating to not have anything happening until late February, but I'm working on losing weight and getting myself in the best shape I can physically and emotionally before the next stage of things. DH is feeling pretty down, especially as they explicitly told him he has pretty much no chance of fathering a child without medical help. (I thought we already knew this, but I guess it hadn't really sunk in for him or he was really hoping the second SA would be better.) So I'm also trying to keep his spirits up the best I can!
Any questions?: Nope.
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?: I really wanted to be a writer and I wrote a ton throughout my childhood. I actually have some book ideas brewing in my mind now, some of which are IF related. (I want so badly for there to be a great novel about all this out there, but I haven't found it yet...makes me think that maybe I should write it.)
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): second cycle with letrozole
How are things going?: Life has been really busy lately - I feel like I can never catch up on this thread!
Any questions?: I know meds can make you do weird things... but can letrozole cause an extended LH surge? Is it possible to keep getting positive OPKs after ovulation? Also, if you ovulate two eggs is it on the same day? I got a positive OPK on Friday evening, and a temp spike Saturday. But then I got two more positives, Saturday and Sunday, and now my temp is even higher. Even with that info, FF says I ovulated Friday. I had thought Saturday was more likely, but Sunday’s positive really confused me.
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? I actually wanted to be a neonatologist for the longest time, because I loved the idea of saving babies.
@emmasemm So glad everything went well! FX for your beta - do you have a date for it?
@RVAmom315 Yay for your H! Hopefully that makes a difference
@beachbunnyxo123 I don’t do well with waiting, so I can understand how hard that must be! Hopefully you get a great update tomorrow
@zwink Hope your transfer goes smoothly tomorrow!
@KristoKekerooni I can’t believe you’re still waiting - that’s insane that it hasn’t started yet
@Avrilmai When do you have your next check up to see if the cysts have started to resolve themselves?
@50Wife So much exciting going on! I can’t believe you’re finally started - and way to go about the glucose!
@kiwi2628 10!!! That’s great - I can’t wait for your next update!!
@Sailing_Mama I go back in 3 weeks. I'm not sure about the extended LH surge, but looking at your chart, it looks like Friday based mainly on temps.
@Augusta108 that is a great point. I'm sorry to hear the repeat SA didn't have better news. Sounds like you are making the best of this long wait and taking care of yourself. that is something to be proud of!
@50Wife great news about the glucose! and, I'm just scared that the twisting and increased physical activity will cause another cyst to rupture. I wasn't told I couldn't do anything.

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): medicated IUI #3
How are things going?: Pretty good. I'm trying not to be hopeful for this cycle. I pretty much expect it to fail, so that's been reducing my stress. I'm also looking forward to taking a couple of months off of medical intervention. Right now going to the RE is the most stressful part of all of this. *tw pregnancy announcement* The only recent stress was that my hair stylist told me she's ku during my haircut on Friday. I don't know if I can handle continuing to see her during her pregnancy, assuming this cycle fails for me. Is it totally unreasonable to switch hair stylists just because of that? *end tw*
Any questions?: Nothing right now.
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? I wanted to be an artist! I'm a scientist now, so I went a slightly different route. I married an artist though!
@emmasemm I'm so glad everything went well today!! When is your beta?
@RVAmom315 that's great that your H's morph went up! Fx this IUI worked!
@beachbunnyxo123 the waiting part is definitely hard and I'm not even stimming yet. I'm glad the injections haven't been too rough and I hope that the time passes quickly for you.
@zwink1 good luck tomorrow!! DH wouldn't be able to do my shots either, they have to lay him down to draw his blood!
@KristoKekerooni ugh I can't believe AF still hasn't made an appearance!! How many dpo are you now?
@Avrilmai I'm so sorry you're benched. I did genetic testing with my previous OB before I even started TTC because it was something she recommended. I think it could only help to find something out sooner rather than later.
@50Wife ahhh I'm so excited for you!!
@kiwi2628 yesss 10 eggs!!! Can't wait to hear the fertilization report!
@Augusta108 I'm sorry about your H's MFI confirmation. I hope the time flies and February is here before you know it! And you should write that book!!!
@Sailing_Mama did you do a trigger shot? That could make the OPKs stay positive. Otherwise, I'm not really sure, my OPKs never stayed positive more than two days, even on Femara.
Diagnosis (if you've been): secondary IF due to endometriosis
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFIVF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): starting Lupron injections on Wednesday and stims next Friday
How are things going?: Just waiting, waiting, waiting. I've been a bit quick to anger on the BCP. The other day DH was asking me questions about something and I just snapped and said "are you deliberately trying to piss me off?" and I heard him muttering under his breath "it's just the medicine, it's just the medicine." I felt bad after. He's been so good about dealing with me. I'm worried about the side effects once I start stims.
Any questions?: nope.
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? I always wanted to be a doctor and that was actually my plan when I went to college. About halfway through I decided that I didn't want to spend 8 years in school plus another 4-5 years doing a residency so I switched to something else in the medical field and now I'm going back for nursing. DH and I met at 18 and got married at 24 so I knew I wanted a family and didn't want to have to wait until after medical school/residency/etc.

FET Feb 2022: BFP on 2/15! EDD 10/29/22
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFFET#2
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I stopped my BCP on Saturday, started a "period" this morning, and I'll have my baseline u/s on Wednesday!
How are things going?: I'm happy that the time seems to be flying by, since I've have plenty of things to keep me busy since I got the FET calendar. I'm also incredibly stoked that so many of you wonderful ladies are starting/continuing with the IVF process, since that means lots of graduations ahead!
Any questions?:
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, although I could not envision how I would actually get to this point.

@emmasemm Woah! I totally missed that you were doing a fresh transfer, but congratulations on being PUPO! I hope that little embie snuggles right in and you get lots of positive signs in the coming days. Thanks for updating me on the calendar, too.
@RVAmom315 I'm glad this cycle is also going better for you, especially since you got that amazing news with the last SA!
@beachbunnyxo123 Yes, it does get to be very different once you get to this point. I know it's hard not to compare and not to freak out between appointments. I found out that writing everything down for my medsand having a daily "cross off" helped me to take things one day at a time. I focused on each milestone as it was coming up (the next u/s or the next procedure) so that I was thinking about the single day rather than the enormity of the whole process. That helped me stave off most of the anxiety... at least until I got to the FET.
@zwink1 I hope you have an absolutely fantastic transfer tomorrow. I can't wait to hear how it goes!
@KristoKekerooni I can't believe that AF seems to have taken an extended vacation for you like this. I'm going to keep sending you my absolute best "start-your-period" vibes in the hopes that they will help. I know you really don't want to have to cancel your flights and everything you have planned.
@Avrilmai I'm sorry that your cyst situation is still having an impact on you. I don't know if yoga would put you at risk, but I hope you are feeling a lot better. We decided not to do genetic testing in our situation, but if I had an unexplained diagnosis, I might lean toward the "yes" side, too.
@50Wife Eee! I'm so excited that this show is getting on the road for you! Having those meds in hand (and using them) was such a good feeling for me, knowing that it was finally all starting. I hope your first days with the meds go well.
@kiwi2628 I'm so stoked to hear that your ER went well and you got 10 eggs! Hopefully a great number of those will be mature and fertilize well. Looking forward to hearing the reports in the days to come!
@Augusta108 My DH took it hard when he got his results, too, especially when everything was confirmed. I hope the wait before your IVF consult goes quickly and that they can give you some good information for both of you prior to that time.
@Sailing_Mama I don't have any advice for you about your LH surge extension, but I hope this cycle goes well for you.
@darkstar42 I would totally understand if you switched stylists during this time. I found that I had to distance myself from certain people during this process for my own mental health. You do what feels best for you, since all of this is stressful enough as it is.
@shortstack930 The BCP mess me up, too, but I didn't have the same reaction to the other meds prior to my stims. I hope this hormonal stuff is short-lived for you, since it's tough when you know that you aren't being yourself.

@emmasemm congrats! Hope you enjoy the steak tonight and the little embie burrows in!
@kiwi2628 congrats! Hope recovery is going well
Diagnosis (if you've been): looked at my chart. The official diagnosis is now “other”
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): PUPO!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF - beta 1/24
How are things going?: transfer went smoothly today. Transferred one, freezing 2 today, 4 get an extra day.
Any questions?: not at the moment
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?
I wanted to be a ballerina or a large animal vet. My folks talked me out of it since the large animal doesn’t pay well (so I went into teaching - hah!) and ballet didn’t work out ‘cause I’m short
@Redpuma119 I’m glad I’m not the only one! I’m so irritated that I forgot my tests at home so I will have to wait until afternoon to make sure today is negative. Regardless, it’s still early for me to O, but how confusing!
@shortstack930 That’s sweet that he’s trying his best to be understanding. Try not to be too hard on yourself. And no, no trigger shot, just my body being weird
@darkstar42 I would probably switch...
@AlohaKumu GL with the baseline on Wednesday!
@halfanewt FX for your little embaby!!
@halfanewt & @emmasemm PASP ❤️
@shortstack930 Awh, it sounds like your H is being very understanding. It sucks when you are in tune enough to know you’re not being yourself- yet, it doesn’t stop it. Show some compassion to yourself, too!
@AlohaKumu Did you turn out to be a teacher? FX for your baseline on Wednesday!
@madspunk Are you doing yoga at home or somewhere else? You sound very strong in your commitment to wait for your beta. You have this!
@emmasemm How was your steak??
@zwink1 GL tomorrow! Do you have plans to take the rest of the day off?
@KristoKekerooni Ugh Nothing more to add- just more ‘get it together, ute.’
@Redpuma119 “a lot earlier....or a lot later” sounds realllllly helpful, doc.
@Avrilmai RE switched me to clomid for three days. I’ll still start gonal f tomorrow and have a scan on Friday.
Diagnosis (if you've been): Adrenal/ovarian insufficiency; low progesterone; autoimmune stuff
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): letrozole changed to clomid, gonal f, trigger, IUI, then prometrium.
How are things going?: I feel like a sack of dog crap today. My belly is rumbling. My head aches fiercely. I’m grumpy. And my hives hurt. However, I am thankful the letrozole reaction didn’t cancel the cycle. Very thankful. Tylenol, water, and curling up in my office under my coat have been my current go-to. I think the letrozole is still lingering, so clearly after that I’m not going to feel the best.
Any questions: Is it typical to go from BL to mid-cycle no monitoring in between with injectable IUI?
GTKY: A ballerina. A stay at home wife. A doctor.
@madspunk I’m feeling similarly about this cycle. Good for you for doing yoga and having fun!
@emmasemm You’re PASP!!!! I’m keeping everything crossed that that little embie settles in for the long haul.
@RVAmom315 So happy that YH’s morphology went up! That gives me hope.
@beachbunnyxo123 Sorry that this cycle has been so rough! I can imagine that IVF takes that stress to a whole new level. *hugs*
@zwink1 I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow morning and hoping all goes amazingly well!
@KristoKekerooni Ugh, I’m so sorry you’re still WFAF!!! What a pain.
@Avrilmai I hope your cysts resolve soon and you can get off the bench! What is the plan for checking on them? We decided not to do genetic testing because it costs a lot and there are no known issues in either of our families. Obviously there still could be an issue with us, but for now we’re skipping it. We’re also not doing IVF, and we might make a different decision if we were spending that much on treatment.
@50Wife So excited that you start stims tomorrow!
@kiwi2628 Woohoo! I’m so glad it went well and you got 10 eggs! Fx for an amazing fert report.
@Augusta108 So sorry that the second SA wasn’t better news. *hugs*
@Sailing_Mama Fx for this cycle for you! Thanks for the support. I think I probably will switch.
@shortstack930 Sorry you’re dealing with crappy side effects! BCPs make me crazy too. *hugs*
@AlohaKumu Glad time is flying by for you! Your baseline is so soon! Thanks for the support. I needed to hear that I’m not totally nuts for thinking of switching stylists.
@halfanewt PUPO! Yay! Fx so hard for your beta.
@jrm_14 So glad that you didn’t have to cancel the cycle! When is your monitoring appointment? And thank you, that was just what I needed to hear. When I’m spending money on something that should be enjoyable, I shouldn’t be stressed out!
@emmasemm yay for being PUPO! Keeping my FX for you!
@RVAmom315 I know you feel like this cycle was unsuccessful but I am soooo keeping my FX that the increase in your H’s morph is just what you needed!
@beachbunnyxo123 I don’t have any advice on the waiting but I’m glad that the injections aren’t bad.
@zwink1 good luck tomorrow!! I’ll be thinking of you!
@KristoKekerooni seriously so frustrated for you!!
@Avrilmai I did the testing and found out I was a carrier for 3 things so had H get tested and he wasn’t a carrier for anything. My insurance doesn’t be cover anything to do with IF but for some reason it covered genetic testing. H’s insurance didn’t cover it so it was a deal through the company do it was $199 self pay.
@50Wife IT’S HAPPENING!!
@kiwi2628 10!! Yes!!! So excited for you!
@Augusta108 you should totally write a book about IF! I think it’s so important to be accurate and you would be able to do that. And I think you’d have so many readers.
@Sailing_Mama I’d be interested in knowing the answer to your question too
@darkstar42 announcements are always hard.
@shortstack930 I’m glad your H is handling you well and realizing your short fuse is due to the meds.
@Aloha so soon!
@halfanewt I’m glad today went well!!
@jrm_14 I’m so glad your cycle wasn’t cancelled.
Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, ovulation dysfunction
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): NTNP
How are things going?: good. Hoping AF stays awhile for a while. Then I should have good timing on the next AF starting right after we get back from the trip so we can start IUI #1. I’m going to be annoyed if I get AF on the trip and I have to miss that cycle too.
Any questions?:
GTKY: When you were very young, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? A screen actress or broadcast journalist. I majored in broadcast journalism and really wanted to do sports reporting but it didn’t work out. And I still do a tiny bit of background/extra work for acting.
@Avrilmai I hope you get off the bench soon! We did some genetic testing on me, primarily because my father is adopted and I have no family history there. When my testing came back clear, we didn't pursue anything on H's side.
So excited for you @50Wife!!! I'm so glad your glucose went down.
Great news @kiwi2628!!! FX for a great fert report!
@Augusta108, I was worried about H, but he did really well with the subcu shots... it was just when we got to the IMs that he started freaking out, lol. I love your horse plan, it's too bad those things don't work out the way we want them too, lol! My H had a rough time accepting the MFI diagnosis and was in denial for a long time. It's tough to deal with.
GL starting IVF @shortstack930!!!
I hope baselines and FET go well for you @AlohaKumu!
FX for you @halfanewt!
@jrm_14 I'm glad your cycle isn't canceled but sorry you feel like crap. Hope you feel better soon!
@RVAmom315, @Avrilmai, @50Wife, @kiwi2628, @Augusta108, @Sailing_Mama, @shortstack930, @AlohaKumu, @jrm_14, @darkstar42, thank you for all of the luck and well wishes ladies!!!!!!
AFM- Got the fert report. We got 8 fertilized! YAAAAAAS! Now to see how they survive until Thursday. How am I gonna make it till Thursday?
AFM things went well and we are officially PUPO/PASP! 1st beta is 1/24, so this is going to be a looooonnnggg 8 days.
@shortstack930 My husband was literally mumbling this morning, "It's because of the meds, it's because of the meds." I literally am so excited to be done with this shit! But yes, I'm also worried about the stronger meds. At least we all know it's temporary and our husbands know why we're psychotic!
@Augusta108 I'm sorry that this seems to be hitting your husband hard. All of it is a really tough pill to swallow, but I'm glad you're doing your best to cheer him up. I hate to use the phrase, "at least"....but at least there are options and ways of him fathering a child. Gotta love science!!! It's amazing what they can do!
@AlohaKumu I'm so glad you're rockin and rollin and able to do another FET!
@halfanewt yay! GL!!!
@Sailing_Mama Oh man, I don't have any advice but I hate all of the confusion once you start adding meds to a cycle! I hope you can figure out what happened.
@darkstar42 I say do what you need to do during this time to keep yourself sane. And if that means getting your hair done by someone else for a bit, then so be it!
@jrm_14 That all sounds horrible. How are you doing today??
@purplg8r I'm excited for your trip!!! I hope everything with AF goes smoothly!
AFM - I'm starting stims on Saturday night!!!!! They'll have me doing gonal f at night and menopur in the morning. He said he prefers spreading out the shots. I'll go in Tuesday for a check and see how things are looking! Tonight will be my last night of the pill and I cantfuckingwait.
@zwink1 , You are so PASP!!! One week is so long. Are you testing before beta?
AFM, My friend and her baby came over. We finger painted. I made a vision board... My version of build it and they will come?
Yes, my proportions aren't great, yes, those are fireworks, and yes, I labeled it with my age.
