    @Worldtravler0522 congrats!!! I am
    keeping my FX so hard for you!!

    @funkykey haha!! That’s kind of how it went, once 8:30 hit I was like “NOW!! Do it!”

    @hoffmanr7  yay, 4!!!! Grow embies!

    @emmasemm  yay for 3!! FX for a good fertilization report tomorrow!

    @Bababatty I was close to a panic attack lol my heart rate was definitely elevated and I had a friend of mine who is a nurse give me a pep talk ahead of time haha I’m so glad that you like your new clinic! Are you just waiting for AF to show to get started?

    AFM, the trigger shot was really not bad at all, the worse part was psyching myself up haha I was super nervous! but I really didn’t feel it at all. I think the needle size just freaked me out and that it had to go into muscle, and also that MH had to do it and I couldn’t really do it myself. But honestly I can’t complain! I did have a sore cheek today, but nothing I can’t handle! Thanks for the support ladies!
  • @Bababatty - so glad to hear that about the new clinic! Keeping FX for you - this next round will start so soon!
  • Loading the player...
  • @kristimh80 and @kim41313 If insurance gives prior approval and my meds arrive in time, I should be starting stims when AF arrives (~next Wednesday). We’re more rushed than normal because we’d intended to cycle with my old clinic and didn’t decide to switch until we met with this new RE last week. They’re being very accommodating, which is really nice.

    @kim41313 Haha! That’s great you had a friend to give a pep talk! The needle is soo Long compared to those subcutaneous ones, it’s scary. I’m glad it went well! Can’t wait to hear your results tomorrow! Good luck!
  • @Bababatty I hope come on time! If so...we should be cycle buddies!!! I go in Monday for my baseline, so will know a plan then. Meds arrived today...for 5k, I expected something fancier LOL

  • @emmasemm yes! FX for a great report tomorrow!

    @hoffmanr7  we’ll be transfer buddies, too!

    Got our numbers back - 14 mature, 10 fertilized! They said no further updates ‘til day 6 (minor panic attack at that) but I assume they’ll tell us something when we go in for the day 5 transfer?
  • @halfanewt Horray for the good numbers!  SURELY they will tell you something at the transfer.

    @hoffmanr7 GL with your upcoming transfer!

    @kristimh80 It is truly amazing what thousands of dollars looks like converted into meds.

    @Bababatty Hopefully your insurance doesn’t give you any trouble & you can get started on schedule!

    @SoonToBeMommaHowe  ((Hugs)) I’m sorry you’re going through everything and your sister on top of that. *TW* My sister knew we were on the edge of an RE referral when she announced her 4th pregnancy. It hurt. A lot. I hope that your sister told you in a sensitive way.  I hope that you’re being kind to yourself, feeling all the feels, and doing things (or not doing them) that you need to do to protect yourself. ((More creepy internet stranger hugs))

    @wishing-and-hoping Do you have rheumatoid??  I find it difficult to convey  to people that due to my autoimmune disease, we started yesterday planning  and adjusting meds about 2 years before actually starting to TTC.  TTC doesn’t always start with the sex ;)

    AFM, baseline scan in the morning. I’m annoyed with the local obgyn’s office that is doing it. The dr said it would be fine. Then, the nurse told me the sonographer doesn’t “usually do AFCs so that won’t likely be on her report.” You do it or you don’t.  Let me know so that I can plan accordingly. Myself and the RE’s nurse were both rather annoyed.
  • Well mixed news this morning - one egg fertilized great!   But the other two not
    She said the one that did looks really good, so fx it makes it through the weekend and is good to transfer on Monday!
    All growth vibes to our one little embie much needed and appreciated!!!!!
    Its going to be a long long wait until Monday, and I will be nervous as hell every time the phone rings...
    Come on little embie - you can do it!

    @bababatty great that you’re all set with the new clinic and they are such an improvement!
    @halfanewt once again congrats. This weekend will be nervewracking but hoping they’re all in it for the long haul!
    @jrm_14 oh no! Seriously, you don’t need any more stress that people saying they’re not going to do something which they had been organized to do... ahhh...

  • @emmasemm - keeping FX for your little embie. Really hoping this one is the one!!!! Grow, embie!

    @Kim41313 - great news!!! Keeping FX for a good fert report!
  • Now that I am a little more with it...

    @kristimh80 haha! I know right! The least the can do is put them in a fancy box or something for 5k. I knew that IVF was expensive, but I about had a heart attack when I found out how much the meds would be

    @halfanewt that’s awesome!!

    @emmasemm FX for that embie to keep growing!!

    @jrm_14 what the hell? Isn’t AFC kind of important? I don’t blame you for being annoyed

    I took a nap, but am still pretty groggy. I’m really glad I have the weekend to recover. Still pretty bloated, hoping that goes away soon. We have to start PIO tonight. We were originally planning to freeze all because my RE thought I could hyperstimulate, but I did not, so a fresh transfer is not “off the table.” He wants me to start PIO and monitor things the next few days. At least I got a one day break from injections  :D
  • @Kim41313 congrats!! Sorry you only got a 1 day break from the needles :/

    @emmasemm its weird conversing across multiple forums :) keeping fingers crossed for you this weekend! Hopefully you can relax a little

  • Hi Ladies,
       Thank you all for the support and encouragement. For the last few days I've just kinda stayed quite and tried to process things. I'm going to send my sister a msg, maybe tomorrow, about how I may not be able to talk about things but not because I'm not happy for her. She knows what we've been going through so I'm assuming she'll be understanding but if she's not, oh well. My mom asked me to go out to lunch tomorrow by fortunately I have plans...who knows what kind of "useful advice" she may give me.

    @Worldtravler0522 FX that tomorrow you have a great beta!

    and good luck to all the IVFers, seems to be quite a few of you! FX for lots of sticky babes!

  • @SoonToBeMommaHowe truly hope your sister responds well whenever you send her a message.  and yeah, my mom's advice in this arena, though well-meaning, is rarely useful!

    @jrm_14 i have undifferentiated seronegative spondyloarthropathy.  Lots of similarities to RA symptoms though my RF is negative.  I am on sulfasalazine and cimzia.  The cimzia was added on when I flared, but because of trying to be conservative and then insurance hurdles, it was a year before I could start it.  But even before my flare (and well before we started trying) I had to meet with maternal-fetal medicine to discuss sulfasalazine safety and when I was considering starting on a TNF inhibitor I met with a rheumatologist who specializes in pregnant women.  Luckily all of the meds should be safe and shouldn't be the reason for IF issues but who knows.

    Day 23 of cycle and just waiting for AF so we can hopefully finally get this IUI going!  Feels like the month is dragging on.  First time I've ever wanted my period to come early.  :D

    Congratulations @Worldtravler0522!! I smiled so broadly when I saw your update! Yaaay! FX your u/s looks good!

    Well done, @hoffmanr7!! Congratulations on being PUPO!!

    @SoontoBeMommaHowe How did the talk with your sister go? I’m so sorry you’re in that position, but I really hope she can understand.  <3

    AFM AF came 2 days early, thus killing the January IVF dream since meds aren’t sorted out yet. Somehow mid-February seems so far away. Just once I’d love to have an IVF or FET cycle that didn’t require 2-3 months of waiting after each failure. Although no failure would be preferable.
  • @Bababatty - :( I'm so sorry. This sucks soooo much!

    I mean, I had the opposite problem this month - AF came late, which meant I had to miss the cycle. If AF hadn't come so late in November, I might have been able to have an FET before the Christmas closure... But then I think: "why did they need to close?!"

    I hate IF. So much uncertainty, and so many elements totally outside of your control. It's like being in limbo ALL THE TIME.

    @Bababatty ((hugs)) I'm so sorry!! Can you talk to your RE about it? Maybe they can put you on BC, so they can then control cycle, so you don't have to wait? Just thought maybe to see as a last effort?

  • @Bababatty sorry about your cycle being wonky. I feel like that crap always happens during IF....like c'mon body could you please help me out, just a little..just once.

    I did reach out to my sister and just said I wasn't comfortable talking about pregnancy but I didn't want her to mistake my silence for anger or me not being happy for her. She said she understood but I haven't heard from her since so who knows. It's like I can talk about 514526141418 things just not pregnancy but I feel like no one in my family knows what to say to me if I can't talk about it. It's just weird.

    AFM I had spotting super early so I was crossing my fingers that it was IB, but no the witch showed up today. Of course....and now we are officially past 3 years without a BFP. This process just sucks. I do want to be more positive about these things but lately it's a struggle.

  • @SoonToBeMommaHowe I'm so very sorry, but I can def relate! Many times I feel like everyone around me is pregnant on their 2nd and 3rd's and I can even get a glimmer of hope! Did have a chemical pregnancy a couple years ago, so I don't know what's worse. I saw your signature. Have you considered anymore IUI's or other methods?
