The hardest part about DH not being home is that I don't know what I want for dinner and have no one to help me decide. I had wanted just side dishes from KFC and now I don't want that. But now I kind of do again. I don't know!
Go for the famous bowl! You get mashed potatoes and corn but ALSO the chicken all in one. So good. So so good. Damn...now I want KFC.
So, has anyone here done a BMB both before and after the Bumpsplosion of 2014? What are the new rules of engagement? TB was fiesta back in the day! Is this the kinder / gentler bump? What is the acceptable salt level?
Ehh. The mods are pretty indiscriminate when issuing warnings. 3 strikes and you’re banned. So just don’t use them up.
I actually made a good attempt at getting ban hammered during the actual 2014 drama...but I think that there were so many people getting banned at that time that I got lost in the shuffle.
@jsnakehole I went to Taco Bell once about ten years ago and have never been since so idk what their menu I should like really! But a milkshake...now I want!!
@b48kate it's worth mentioning that if you get a BS warning you can ask the BGs to remove it. I had three warnings overturned when I was active on my last BMB.
I don’t think I ever got warned etc in the past but I do fondly remember the olden days. My bmb from my youngest zipped to fb riiiiight before allhell broke loose. Like we were rats swimming from the burning ship.
I got a surprise us today!!!! My mw offered one on her ‘dinosaur’ machine (which I didn’t even know she had). Saw a heartbeat and 10w is baby in there and bonus - I didn’t know it was coming so not time for anxiety to kick in! did get a pap too, fun times. Better than the dentist tho.
And I felt extra special bc my midwife who I got by sheer luck for first 2 with the huge group she was with, then I followed her to her plus 1 midwifery group, got her again for third, that for the first time she’s calling ‘dibs’ for this baby
More: started working again 2 days a week Monday. Holy hell does being at work make you famished - I was desperate! Thursday I am packing waaaay more snacks!!!!
I was up to 2 warnings a year ago over a horrible person and her gender disappointment threads...it was full nonsense and multiple June 17 ladies got banned over it. But they expire after a year so I'm back in business baby!

I was part of the craziness of TB in 2014 as I was pg with DS at the time. I tried to get banned, but as others mentioned, everyone got lost in the shuffle on that one. I joined a private fb group with some of the ladies, which we are all still active on daily 3 years later! Agreed that it was a lot of fun back then - I didn’t jump in TTGP this time around, so this is my first time back since!

My first appointment and u/s are tomorrow and I am a ball of nerves.
Also, confession moment--when I first joined and made my introduction post, I immediately noticed that my username was "knottiewhatever" and went to change it before anyone complained about it. I am exclusively using mobile and didn't see anywhere that gave my username before I posted. So I rushed to change it and gave myself a username that I can't stand now. Every time I read it, I end up with that terrible "Mr. Mom" song stuck in my head but replace Mr with Dr. (Sorry if you like that song!)
My first appointment and u/s are tomorrow and I am a ball of nerves.

You can change it! Go to theknot and change it then log out and back in on TB.

I was in a BMB before the old days, and my son’s BMB was just starting when the exodus happened. I missed having a BMB with him, so I’m excited to be back.

Spent about three hours assembling a Kidkraft kitchen for DS. Uber proud of myself, did it all alone! Now watch him play with it for five minutes before never looking at it again!
@ecwk DS got a Melissa & Doug kitchen for Christmas. He is OBSESSED. He seriously plays with it all the time. Kudos for putting it together by yourself. DH and I worked on it together for at least an hour and a half.

My kitten makes it impossible to get out of bed. He lays with his head on my shoulder, purring away. If I sit up he crawls in my lap and gently taps my nose to try to get me to pet him.

I went grocery shopping with my mom yesterday and picked up some hard salami to munch on because I was starving. Hubby got home from work and saw me snacking on it and said “hey you aren’t supposed to be eating lunch meat!” I thought it was super cute. He hasn’t taken a ton of interest in previous pregnancies so I thought it was a good sign. He also was using the tinder name app without my prompting last night. Made me melt a little bit - it’s the little things that count
I started the house purge this morning. I have six big bags of clothes to give away and working on household items, too. I’m so tired of feeling like we are drowning in stuff and we have to make room for the new baby, anyway. *waves goodbye to all the crap*
@ladygali I’ve been purging clothes because I lost a ton of weight this summer. I have about 7 bags of clothes set up to go to a friend that are too big for me but now I have to go through them again to pull out pregnancy friendly clothes haha. Repurge my already completed purge lol
After two boys I just found out yesterday that my third and last is a girl! I am so excited. I went and bought girl clothes within one hour of finding out haha.
What is the exodus everyone is talking about. I started on TB in summer 2015 and remember everyone talking about it, then. I still don't know what happened!
I was here when I was pregnant with DS, on the Jan ‘11 bmb. Craziness. We had so many crazies. But we didn’t have nearly the structured posts, and mods were almost nonexistent. We moved to FB when babies were born, and I haven’t been on TB until recently.
