@cups4 omg yes. I am so excited to be back on Zoloft once the babies are here. It helps me a ton and it’s been very hard not having that to fall back on. My mind races at night and Zoloft definitely helps slow those thoughts down. It also helps with my mood swings during the day. Definitely miss it.
This is totally not the same, but on the topic of people taking medicine-is anyone still taking Unisom? After my first tri nausea ended, I decided to keep taking the Unisom because I felt like I was sleeping so much better with it. I also started using a humidifier a few weeks ago, and every night now for the past few weeks I've been waking up at night thinking I can hear the girls screaming/crying or MH calling for me (he sleeps downstairs in the playroom for the sake of our marriage lol), and then can't fall back asleep because it makes me anxious and paranoid. I can't decide if it's some weird reaction to the Unisom, or if the loud buzzing/humming sound from the humidifier is playing tricks on my ears, but it's starting to freak me out. I'm going to try turning the humidifier off one night and not taking Unisom one night to see if either help, but I'm just curious if anyone else has had any similar experience with Unisom?

@Poppy0419 they said it’d be fine to stay on it but it was just a personal decision I made. I was also on lamictal when we started TTC but I just didn’t want to be on any psych drugs in case I did get pregnant.
@lincbeesmom totally understand that! Mine asked if I felt that I needed it. I considered going off of it but with everything going on I just couldn’t.

Also my anxiety would probably make me blame the zoloft if anything went wrong with the babies/pregnancy.
@lincbeesmom but for real. With everything that I’ve had to take (vancomycin, Norco, Zoloft, Zofran, Diglecis, Phenergan, Dilaudid....) my anxiety is through the rough about something being wrong. It’s a vicious cycle.
@sandbar517 I am still taking it. Sometimes I have vivid, realistic hallucinations (for lack of a better term) like that when on it. My dreams are much more vivid as well.

I can’t imagine. I freak out if I think I’ve been taking too many tums haha.
@mileswithmyles Thanks! I think I am going to give it a rest for a few days and see if it goes away. And it's clearly not helping my sleep as of right now, anyway, so I guess I won't be missing out on that aspect of it.

@sandbar517 I started taking unisom when I was pregnant with DD and I can’t sleep without it now. I definitely have weird dreams and hear things on it. But otherwise I won’t sleep at all. Especially when I’m the only one home because I’m scared I won’t hear DD if she cries (even though I know I will because Mom life).
@poppy0419 So glad I'm not going crazy. I was thinking it was a miracle drug because I was falling asleep so easily and had no trouble falling back to sleep after getting up to go to the bathroom or whatever, but it's seriously giving me like, almost anxiety attacks and freaking me out so bad at night, It's not helping me sleep anymore anyway. I was reading some reviews online and a few people have said that if you take a little vacation away from it (anywhere from a few days to a week or so) sometimes it gets better, so I think I'm going to try that and see what happens.

@sandbar517 I’m still taking it for morning sickness, and it does make me feel weird in the middle of the night. Maybe ask you Dr if you can try a low dose melatonin instead?
I don't understand why I can't catch a break. I came home to dog shit everywhere and then once I had cleaned that up and cleaned the dog, then the dog vomits everywhere. It smells like shit so I'm pretty sure he at his shit. I'm ready to get rid of him.
@sparklingdiamond, glad it went well.and glad you didn't keep putting it off. And please note that a lot of us are invested in you and your family so you will not be burning us out with updates.
@charlestonchew. That's so awful!!!! Not on the same level, but I was trying to wake up DS from his nap and DD was running around the room grunting. I asked if she was pooping and she said no. Like a minute later, she handed me a turd. Sooooooo that was fun! I think we need to potty train her soon.
@suchaglencoco oh my word I would freak out about that too! I get that I'm still going to have to clean up poop and vomit with a kid but this dog is such high maintenance and I don't think we're a good home for him anymore. DH recently got a job a few months ago and now he has to stay in his cage most of the day and I honestly think he does this out of spite. I'm looking to rehome him but somewhere he would be comfortable like my mom who is retired with no animals or I'm contacting the person I got him from. We got him off craig's list 5 years ago from someone who couldn't keep him anymore and then she had contacted me again saying she was in a better situation.
@ivyvines6 I’m sorry, dear! I can relate, but so far have not found any be-all-end-all solutions. I know that, for me, eating better and working out help my anxiety, but’s that’s so hard when you don’t feel well! ... I also totally avoid any and all errands on weekends when things may be busy! I don’t like it either!
@charlestonchew That is so horrible. I’m so disgusted for you! @sparklingdiamond No one is going to get sick of updates from you. Please, please, PLEASE keep updating us.
@charlestonchew that's too bad. I know our dogs are super spoiled that I'm most days with them, but when we're gone for a few hours, they definitely act out in small ways. And as bad as this sounds, once you have a kid them he dog poo and vomit bother you less. Brad used to gag when he'd have to clean up any dog messes in the house. Now he doesn't bat an eye.
@Poppy0419 my OB said it was absolutely fine to stay on it if I needed it, but that it may cause baby to be more cranky after they were born. I weaned off of it starting in May to see if I could, very slowly, always knowing I could go back if I needed. I know going through this I can make it till birth, but with my PPA last time I'm getting back on it ASAP to be a better mom and wife. Just a personal decision
@cups4 super interesting! I’m going to do some research for sure. I just took my OB’s word and didn’t even think twice about it. I can totally see how it would make baby crankier.
@sparklingdiamond, Glad the procedure went okay! We are hunk thinking of you during the wait!
@sandbar517, I am still taking unisom for MS. I tried weaning off it a few weeks back and got sick right away. I may try stopping again in a month. For me, I have weird dreams and hear DD, but I think that happened before I was ever on the unisom. My H has the same problem.
I am sorry so so many of you are having tough starts to the year. This dead of winter time is always tough. I just want to say that I really enjoy the discussion here. I don’t participate as much as I wish I did only because I am always mobile and the App HATES me! I spend so much time getting frustrated that I just leave before posting. Just know that I am typically here reading and rooting for all of you. Even my love tits only work half the time.
On another note, today I sneezed while pulling down my pants to go pee. So much pee shot out of me, I thought for a minute that my water broke. That’s a good enough reason to go home at 4:15, right?
Princess @Poppy0419 your hubby really needs to get it together. I am so sorry he is behaving this way after everything you have been through. I really hope he figures his shit out, soon.
@sparklingdiamond I am glad you went ahead with the amnio. Rest up! I know its hard with tax season, but better to take a day or two now, than later in busy season.
@lincbeesmom ugh. I have been having the worst indigestion, too! I am sure the pizza I ate yesterday isn't helping hahah
@attorneyworkproduct that happens a lot around her. I definitely snizzed (sneeze and whizzed) in front of DH the other day. Luckily it was in our bedroom so it was an easy fix. I also laugh and whizz (lizzing).
Poppy0419 My dog is so sad about the weather. He can't even walk outside because it hurt his paws...
@JNCPro3130@ivyvines6 We have a few students that were taken out of public school because the teachers relayed to the parents that their kids were not as perfect as the parents believe. They put the kids in Montessori schools and then within 1-2 years the kids were back in public. Some parents don't get what children would thrive in those schools. I love the idea, but it really does depend on the child, not what I would want for the child. It's great that you two parent that way already which will naturally lead to them adapting well in that setting.
@justsuzie, I teach in a public elementary school and most likely DS will attend the school where I teach. I love Montessori for his age. I think education in general depends on the child. I teach children in 3rd grade and projects work great for some children where an essay works for others and art works for others. You can't teach all children the same way.
@justsuzie and @JNCPro3130 my MIL teaches fourth grade and has for like a decade. Before that she taught in a Montessori style preschool while she was finishing up her school to become a teacher and she utilizes a lot of what she learned there for her current students. (I have definitely picked her brain a lot about this subject too, I’m just widening my net so to speak) You’re definitely right that it isn’t the perfect environment/teaching method for every kid though! If J was more rough and tumble, and the like I would never consider it for him... As it stands right now he’s obsessed with books and puzzles and sorting things. We’ve already given him “chores” too. He has to put his dirty clothes in the hamper, and put his dishes in the sink when we are done eating. He’s good at following directions for an almost two year old.
Me- So we have nothing going on this weekend. Next weekend we have that baseball... the Brew-... that thing going on. And that's it. Easy weekends. DH- Uhmmmmm, it's a basketball game. And this weekend we have your cousin party Saturday. And your mom's final Christmas on Friday. We literally have a full weekend. Are you ok? Me- Oh yeah. Well, it was good while it lasted. I'm going to sleep now.
I'll just mark this down as the official moment pregnancy brain has taken over.
I haven't been able to keep you with this thread but I'm comforted to know I'm not the only one who's incredibly anxious. I either can't fall asleep until super late or wake up and worry for hours.
I'm sorry everyone is so stressed right now. I think the first few days of January are always kind of intense. Here's hoping it gets better!
@lincbeesmom, I get weirdly excited about see a new BMB pop up! I've done absolutely nothing to prepare for this baby but Knowing we're a step closer to holding our LOs makes me excited!
I'm happy to hear it went well. You were definitely in my thoughts yesterday. Sorry I’ve been MIA, back to work and then had to sign for my new car last night as they did total my car from that damn deer.
The September board is up? Holy crap! It just seems like yesterday we all were starting our journey. Wow. This pregnancy is going fast...
I agree with @JNCPro3130 I taught kindergarten for 8 years before I moved to 5th (not my choice, I miss it!) The kids from Montessori preschools were some of my most well behaved kids and very independent. I like the idea of sending mine to a Montessori pre-K but it’s sooooo expensive. My friends daughter attends one and loves it!
So annoyed at our children's hospital. After spending hours there on New Year's Day they said DS had a flu or bad virus (but didn't swab for the flu), I took him back to the pediatrician and he has strep. Why did they not check for strep?! (And I guess I should've asked about that but my mind was on much worse things). So anyway, fingers crossed I don't get strep I guess.
@molly1108-2 strep is seriously the worst! I had it eleven times when I was twelve and insurance refused to cover having my tonsils removed. (I haven’t had it since then, but it freaks me out when I get a sore throat of any kind)
@suchaglencoco, yes I snizz all the time. Typically though, I can cross my legs to at least soften the blow (or flow). This bathroom stall snizz was a whole new level, lol. Lizzing, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to be an issue for me, but maybe I just don’t laugh enough.
