I'm getting a haircut tomorrow!! It's been legit months without one, maybe 6? Now that my hair is actually thick due to pregnancy, it's top much. I'm thinking like 3 or 4 inches need to come off.
I know, I know, super lame, but I'm actually excited to get out of the house for more than the gym or errands.

@Poppy0419 just crown me the board bitch I guess. I honestly feel pregnancy has made me super bitchy in all aspects of my life.

In other news, DH woke up with increasingly intense back pain and got to the point he couldn't walk or move so I took him to the ER and they said it was spinal compression and gave him some steroids and put him on bed rest a couple days. They couldn't figure out why though because he had done nothing strenuous to cause it. I stayed home today to help him but will need to go back to work tomorrow.

I had some thoughts about HBDB this week I apparently couldn't let go...

We are on break and started to watch Boss Baby on Netflix and the beginning ripped my heart out thinking about the toddler adjusting to a new baby. And then a lack of trigger warnings on a check in didn't help me either.
So I told H I was getting in the tub to help my mood. Some Zoloft would really help, too...

Anyway, baby girl has been kicking away and H felt her for the first time Christmas night in spite of my anterior placenta and that was so sweet and special.

I don’t know what this soft side is lately. Maybe between DH being an ass and the last 6 weeks of my life I’m just too worn down to fight.

Speaking of the idiot I married, did I tell y’all he agreed to do a month long business trip? He’s been back not even 2 weeks. He left yesterday. He’ll be gone at least a month. Maybe all my anger is just all going to him.

@cups4 MH felt baby for the first time on Christmas top. It was awesome. So glad you got to feel those kicks! DS has been obsessed with Boss Baby and it makes me really emotional to watch it.

@charlestonchew - Ouch! Your poor DH! I hope he feels better soon.
@cups4 - I can't wait for outside kicks. My boys and DH are dying to feel him kick. A soak in the tub sounds heavenly!

After this is he staying in town? How often does he have to travel? With my DH's first job he was gone for a week, every other week sometimes gone for 2. I can't imagine a month. That really sucks.

@Poppy0419 Maybe let @charlestonchew be the board bitch for a while, at least until you’re back to fighting weight. Maybe it’ll be nice for your DH to be out of your hair for a while? A month sounds pretty tough with a toddler at home. Is there anyone around to help? I can’t remember if your mom is in town?
@charlestonchew That sounds so scary! What is the treatment going forward? Is this likely to resolve with rest and the steroids?
@cups4 I always worry about my toddlers adjusting to a new baby and they always do fine! It definitely causes anxiety for us moms...as well as guilt! There’s a mourning period for the end of your family of three for sure.

Does anyone else find that this app randomly changes words while youre typing? It’s not autocorrect, it’s changing words as I type and it’s making me crazy. For instance, I had to erase and rewrite about 20 words in this post.

@cups...my anterior placenta is driving me crazy....I think I feel tiny kicks but I have also been having the worst stomach problems so it's hard to tell!

@suchaglencoco I just cancelled my hair apt for tomorrow because I've been having some horrendous stomach issues and cannot fathom not being near my own bathroom....TMI sorry

@Poppy0419 My DH decided to go out and get hammered last night and cancelled lunch with his mom, blaming it on MY stomach problems. What was that Hitchcock movie about the two strangers that kill each others partners?

Ditto everything @glitzandglitter and @gildah said. I'm sure i typically seem like a moron cause all the words get changed. I'm actually a grammar and spelling stickler.

We were at the lion King last night. Show was great! When they music was loud, baby was partying. DH never feels any movement though.

It's 19F outside. Our thermostat is broken. It keeps shutting off and now it's freezing in the house. DH just went out to buy a cheap one since the original is under warranty but will take a while to get the replacement.

@gildah, YES! The app is infuriating, the tb won't work on my mobile any other way.

@glitzandglitter, the front is like 2" past my collarbone. A lot of it is super uneven. I love going, but I hate spending the $50 on myself for something so small. So I am going to say "I just need enough hair to get into a pony" and see how much they take off.

@Poppy0419 a month??? You just started to get healthy again! A month seems like a long time to be gone from your spouse, let alone your pregnant spouse!

@justsuzie, I get it. I almost didn't go to the gym because my stomach was acting funny, but I took some tums and that seemed to help, thank goodness.

@glitzandglitter, and it's all me. DH tells me to go whenever I want. I got 2 or 3 times a year and he goes like 10 times a year, so we spend the same or he spends more a year on haircuts.
I just hate the lump sum of it all!

It just makes me mad because I have basically straight hair and get a super basic cut of straight across the back and light framing around the face.

@glitzandglitter he’ll be back for 2 weeks then gone again. They’re reasoning it that he will have to go less when DD2 is born BUT my stepdad owns the damn company so you’d think one of the men had some sense. Plus there’s a SINGLE and CHILDLESS manager who they only send for short amounts of time. I know DH has to go because seniority but come onnnnn.

@gildah good idea. I think @charlestonchew may have been gunning for the position anyways

my mama lives 15 minutes away luckily. They offered for me to stay there but I have 2 big dogs that stress me out in her house. We lived there for 3 months when we moved here and let’s just say my dogs aren’t as welcome.

@justsuzie I’ve got a lake behind my house. I’m sure someone here can come up with an alibi for us? I hope your stomach feels better! I had an anterior placenta with DD1 and I couldn’t tell what was a real kick until like 24 weeks. It’ll be here before you know it.

@suchaglencoco I’m the same way! I rarely get my haircut... a mix of not wanting to spend the money and also just laziness.

@nanifrog - how was the Lion King? I got it for my son for Christmas. We watched it today. It was the first time I've seen it since I was a kid. I forgot how dark it is!

@justsuzie @Poppy0419 my SO gets to join the dumbass club, sorry you are both dealing with them being idiots on top of not only pregnancy but some other complications. So also went out last night and got hammered. He has been really good about cutting back on going out which has been great, so I really hope this is not the start of that habit again. He loves to gamble at those slot machines/video gambling machines in bars. So he pulls a wad of cash from the ATM, drinks and stays out forever. He is lucky he woke up without an attitude and helped around the house today.
@Poppy0419 how was the reunion with your daughter? Did she love her big girl bed?

and just to add, I recommend anyone go out and get a 90 minute prenatal massage....oh my goodness. It was amazing. I had a lot of anxiety about having to leave to go to the bathroom so I just straight up told the lady my issue and she got a robe ready for me just in case. All my back pain from this pregnancy was gone for awhile. I plan on going every 2 weeks. I used to go to a naturopath which covered massages for my insurance, always worth checking into.

@heelsidehero we were at the show on Broadway. It was great. The costumes and effects are beyond. We felt guilty we didn't bring the kids, but the tickets are crazy expensive and MIL got them for DH for his b-day. It's not as scary as the cartoon though. We had to fast forward some parts with the kids.

@bwow615 its a big lake! I’d be super annoyed. I know DH goes out like every night on his trips and it bugs me.

Big girl bed was a hit. But the excitement kinda carried on. She’s been sleeping with my parents so she’s used to not waking up alone. I never coslept so it’s going to be a transition in coming home and sleeping in her room AND in a bed. She woke up twice last night upset and after the second time (5am) I just brought her in bed with me. I’m REALLY hoping tonight goes better. She seemed to settle down a lot easier.

DH is going to be on my shit list if he doesn’t give me a break with my MIL. After her terrible reaction at our gender reveal..I had to spend the last four days with her. I’m anticipating some much needed time away from her.

@Poppy0419 so cute! We had a fairy who leaves a penny under your pillow if you stay in bed all night. There are also a bunch of charts out there and you can give a sticker for each night and then a big prize after 2 weeks or whatever time period you decide. But i suspect she also just misses being with you and you do H's trip might make things complicated. I really can't believe he's going for a month.

My dad came over and called his electrician friend. After 3 hours and another trip to the store, they got everything working. So thankful cause it's 15F now. When DH got back he looked pale and shaky. He has a fever and thinks he might have strep but has a swim instructor refresher course tomorrow. I feel so bad for him.

Ugh...My brother, SIL and their kiddo arrived late last night. They are all sick. Please dear God don't let us get whatever it is they have. Thankfully they are staying at my mom's but we will be spending basically all day tomorrow with them
