@BarefootContessa I don’t have any advice but I can imagine that’s very stressful and scary. Hugs to you and I hope everything is fine!

@BarefootContessa I know @itsrandiyo also has a SUA and I believe there are 1-2 other ladies here dealing with the same. If I remember correctly from their posts most of their doctors didn't seem too concerned? I think it is known to cause the baby to be smaller but I don't remember any of them saying they had to go to a specialist. FX everything is fine and your peanut catches up a bit as time goes on! Hopefully itsrandiyo or the others ladies with SUA see this are able to provide more feedback.
@BarefootContessa. I found out at our 20 week appt that our baby girl has a 2 vessel cord as well. I know I saw a thread with people posting about having one too but couldn't find it. I am trying not to stress about it too much but it's way easier said that done. I need to have an echocardiogram done at 24 weeks. And it sounds like growth scans monthly too. I have high blood pressure and a history of pre eclampsia which can lead to slow growth as well. My mfm didn't seem concerned about it
mcb2016@BarefootContessa I also have a 2 vessel cord, and I did have to go to a specialist for a more detailed ultrasound because there was a spot on his heart, but everything turned out fine! Mine is measuring on track though right now size wise. The specialist said I have very little risk for anything else along with the SUA because all of the other things on the ultrasound look great (no other signs of chromosomal issues), just possibly a smaller baby and they are doing 2 more ultrasounds to track growth!
Massive hugs to you @BarefootContessa. it sounds like you've really been through the wringer with inconclusive tests and now this. I'm praying for peace and good answers very soon, you really deserve them. Please try for some extra self-care in the meantime and try not to be so hard on yourself for thinking everything would be fine. That's totally normal!
Anyone else feeling 10-20lbs heavier at the end of the day then they do when they wake up in the morning? Anything to do for that? I feel like a load of bricks at the end of the day, my whole body so heavy and painful!
@BarefootContessa My friend just had that, her son born a month and a half ago. He was perfectly healthy, she was just monitored as high risk and had ultra sounds every month.

@sjn00 yup, same. I waddle around the house from like 4pm onward, so uncomfortable. I definitely catch myself tapering off on water intake the later it gets in the day, but there's a huge difference if I make sure to keep chugging right up until bedtime. It sucks in that I wake up to pee, but physically it makes me feel a lot better. So maybe try to stay on top of hydration?
@sjn00 I feel the same. Every morning I'm like "heck yeah, I look good." At the end of the day, I'm walking around like "dang when did I get so pregnant."
@bchalm yessss exactly! In the morning im able to move so much easier, then its like as the day goes on, gravity just draggs and hangs on every little bit of me!
@BarefootContessa I hope you hear some good news at you're follow up. I had a cousin who had the same thing and her baby boy came out beautiful and health. he was small but has caught up quickly and is now a very active health 5 year old. my prayers are with you for peace and comfort.
Tall moms, has anyone found maternity pants in long besides Old Navy?
I had some from there last pregnancy that are getting worn out, but when I ordered new ones it seems they’ve made the inseams way longer. I’m 5’10 and height is all in my legs but the current Old Navy longs are waaay too long!
Also a general rant that the ankle pants trend dooms all tall girls to look like they’re wearing capris all winter
@rmmorris I noticed that too!! I’ve been looking for a pair of black denim maternity pants and pretty much everything, even the regular denim is ankle length. It’s winter and I’m 5’8... ankle length are borderline capris on me. Frustrating!! @Puddlewonderful I haven’t purchased ON maternity pants myself yet but got a pair of regular length loaned to me from a friend and they are quite long on me. Maybe they made the regulars longer too? Might be worth giving them a shot. Need to order a pair but their pant sizing on me is insane for some reason so I’m preparing myself to be annoyed.
@Puddlewonderful I think the jeans at Motherhood Maternity come in long - I got a pair (the Jessica Simpson ones?) and they're easily the best fitting of all the pants I've gotten so far.

@Puddlewonderful The Three Season's maternity dress pants on Amazon were long enough for me (5'7" typically wears 34-36 in inseam). They're work pants for less than $20 which is also nice. Most online places will show in the details what the inseam length is. I have noticed that a lot of maternity dress pants come in 30-32 inseams, which kind of looks silly on me if I wear a heel.
@Puddlewonderful - seconding @hedgepig. I bought from Motherhood the Indigo (something) brand of jeans in a tall (I’m 5’7”) and they are plenty long for me. I found a pair of their khakis online that aren’t a long and that fit like a long.
@Puddlewonderful I am wearing a pair of tall maternity pants from Motherhood Maternity right now! The best part is that they are available in-store too. In general they cost nearly double what Old Navy charges, but the elastic band is higher quality. That being said, I did develop rub patches faster on my MM pants than Old Navy, so I can't decide which is better.
@Puddlewonderful I feel you girl. I'm 6' tall and I have STRUGGLED with pants. I ended up buying Uniqlo heat-tech leggins/pants for my trip to Paris, where is was brutally cold. They are just long enough for me to wear with boots so for everyone else they should be great. They are so warm and I love the elastic waistband and that they simulate pants. Not maternity pants, but I think I"m going to be the type of person who prefers pants on the low side rather than the full panel over the belly. I can't wear jeans to work so I'm still on the hunt for pants for when I get really big.
Ugh, another tall, 5'8" long pant wearing pregnant lady here... I finally broke down and bought a pair of black denim(ish) pants from MM in regular. They didn't have long in the style I selected. They are totally capris on me and I can only wear them with boots... but that's what I wanted them for anyways so whatever. I do second what @ngolimento said though, I got the rub patches/pilling after the first wear and that's annoying. All of my dress pants are longs from MM and they never pilled like this. My long dress pants (flared) from MM are SUPER LONG though and I had to hem them up lol. Why can't I find pants that fit?!?!

@Puddlewonderful at 5'2" I can't relate to the not tall enough problem but I can confirm that ON made ALL their pants longer. I have always worn their petite jeans and ordered maternity jeans from there in petite. Even with shoes, I stand on the bottoms of the jeans. Very disappointed! Hope you find something better!!
@Puddlewonderful Have you tried the ON jeggings? Not maternity, but they have an elastic waist band and they sit in an ok spot for belly room. These are my go to black denim's. I wore them until the day I went into labor with my last pregnancy and plan on it again with this pregnancy.
@rmmorris I noticed that too!! I’ve been looking for a pair of black denim maternity pants and pretty much everything, even the regular denim is ankle length. It’s winter and I’m 5’8... ankle length are borderline capris on me. Frustrating!! *snip*
Does anyone else have a problem using the search function for our board? Every time I try searching for something on the April 2018 board it gives me results for the entire website! Drives me nuts... I'm trying to find the thread that talked about breakfasting and pumps if anyone can help me. lol
@JJMNO1616. I can't figure out searching our board only. It drives me crazy. Any tips?
Yes! I figured out if you are on mobile (not the app) you have to use the little microscope icon at the bottom of the page that is located just to the right of all the page numbers. That will allow you to search through the threads only on April.
Thank you all for your thoughts. Yesterday was brutal. Baby has too many defects to likely survive in the womb, let alone birth. I am scheduled for an induction tomorrow morning. Good luck to you all!
@BarefootContessa oh my god, I am so so sorry. I am heartbroken for you. ((Hugs)). Please don't hesitate to tell us if you need anything. Please take care of yourself.
@BarefootContessa I’m in complete shock by your news. My heart absolutely breaks for you. I’m so sorry for your loss. Please don’t hesitate to continue reaching out to us if you need some support. We will all be thinking about you.
@BarefootContessa oh my goodness, I don’t even have the words to tell you how sorry I am. I cannot imagine what you and your family are going through right now. You will be in my thoughts.
