Royal Wedding update: its been announced the wedding will be in May, so most of us will be home with these newborns and can watch all the action!
Good thing Kate is a superhuman who you know will lose all her baby weight in like two weeks because if it were me, I'd be more than a little perturbed about (presumably) wearing a bridesmaid dress on national television that soon postpartum.
Also, is it just me or do you guys think there's some behind the scene dramz here about thunder-stealing, etc?

I actually fully expected it to be in May. April is out because of Kate's baby, and June is out because it is the queen's birthday. Kate looks amazing the second she steps out of the delivery room, so she probably will look like a stunning bridesmaid, the lucky b#$@&.
@kmalls I'm with you on the day!! DD was coughing all morning, did some research and found a cough medicine you can give to a tot under 2. Loaded her up in the car, putting my phone on the hood while I buckled her. Drove off with said phone still on hood of the car. Got to the store to realize the phone is no longer there. Got in the store, they didnt have what I wanted. Went home hoping the phone had just fallen in the garage, it didn't. Longer story short, found it in the middle of the turn lane at the grocery store in a million pieces. Put DD to nap and she woke up with a 102 fever. Yay Tuesday!
You guys can I just vent about my FIL for a minute? We are under contract for a house and he sends me random texts and emails every day like "check for termites," "the new tax plan might eliminate the mortgage interest deduction. Make sure you don't overextend yourselves," and all kinds of random unsolicited advice.
I am a) a fully gown adult, and b) a real estate lawyer. I know he's trying to help us but it's getting on my nerves. Before having DD, he literally sent me an email with "things we should buy for the baby," which included "a car seat to bring the baby home" and "onesies." Like, oh, I need to clothe this child?! News to me. It makes me think he thinks I'm an idiot and it's offensive. end rant.
@mountainsmama I have a know-it-all FIL as well. I am also a lawyer but he insists I should go back to school to be a doctor. Umm, no? He also tells me how to parent my kids and cook meals. It is just like... do you think my brain doesn't work? Because when you suggest this sh*t, that's what you're suggesting. I feel your pain.

@lindsye that's funny you bring up cooking, because my in-laws are vegetarian, and he just emailed me an hour ago a link to article about "how to have a vegetarian Christmas." They aren't coming to visit us, I'm not cooking for them, he just doesn't want me to feed my DH and DD meat.
Catching up after a few days MIA this past week - @ngolimento I hope that was the end of the spotting and everything looks great at your AS this week! @sparklingdiamond loving all your positive updates and hope today went well for you!
I’m also irrationally excited for being on maternity leave during the royal wedding... entertainment during wee-hours wake ups with baby, yay
AFM our excitement this week has been putting up the Xmas tree and me trying to remember to water it. I accidentally killed our trees the last 2 years by forgetting for like a 24 hour period, and the stumps sapped over and wouldn’t take water afterwards. We ended up having to take the tree down a few days before Xmas both years because they were so dry I was terrified we were going to burn the house down! Lol trying really hard not to do that this time. DH won’t budge on getting a real tree yet... we’ll see what happens when we add a baby to the mix.
Glad to see you back, @frenchiekinplusone! @ngolimento are you heading to the OB today, or will you wait until tomorrow?
AFM: I’m trying to get a ton of errands done before heading to FL for the weekend. I have DS with me and I’m sitting in the parking lot at Target, waiting for him to wake up. I’m a little worried he’s getting sick because he NEVER naps in the morning anymore. Yikes. Guess DH will have to deal with that while I’m gone.
@ekendall09 my next stop is DSW for shoes, just in case you’ve been following our local FB group
I’m very blessed to have so many good people surrounding me, in the bad times and now the good. A friend sent me these at work today: Edited so patient names weren’t in the picture.
@kmalls I am going to wait until tomorrow. Baby is squiggling around really well, no more bleeding, and the pinching sensation is gone. I feel completely normal today, so I think it is fine to wait until my scan tomorrow morning. I am trying to be a level-headed unflappable second time mom .
I now understand that tailbone pain you guys were talking about in another thread somewhere - like what the heck is that??
@ngolimento that's great! @mikkimikey I'm glad you had a good hospital tour! The room they showed us when I went on mine last time ended up being where I delivered DS!
I want to get one of these for my maternity pics in the spring, but can't decide if I should do floral or solid or just get one of both since they are cheap? Opinions?
I think you can only see it if you have a Zulily account.
@peppersmith22 I know! Mine FINALLY eased up after forever. It hurt me to sit, cough, even worse to stand from sitting. Now it mainly hurts when the pressure is coming off it but not as severe. I don't get it!
It was funny, the guy who cut my hair said his mom said she only ever got tailbone pain with girls. I was like interesting, bc mine is a girl and I didn't have this the first time around with my son lol.
@peppersmith22 and @psuxray07 Do you guys feel like you’re carrying low? I feel like this baby is much lower than DD. My tailbone pain has been SEVERE. I have to psyche myself up to stand because I know what’s coming when I do. I bought a maternity support belt. It’s basically useless
Me (33). DH (37). DD (2.2012). MCs x4. After 4 years & 7 months, due 4.2018!
Is anyone else having vivid dreams? I’m used to having dreams that I can’t remember the next day, but I have been having extremely vivid (sometimes scary) dreams that I can remember.
I don’t mind the sexy dreams (those are awesome) but I couldn’t shake this horrible bad dream from last night! It was about a kidnapping (not even my kids).

I've been having all kinds of vivid dreams too lately. They haven't been scary but bizarre. I feel like im not getting quality sleep between the need to pee all night and my teething toddler which is leading to the crazy dreams.
@mikkimikey I have always had vivid dreams, but they are A LOT more frequent and strange than before this pregnancy. Pretty sure it's a common thing with being KU.
I feel you ladies on the tailbone pain. During the day at work I will occasionally start getting up, then freeze while waiting for the pain to pass. Stupid vestigial body parts shouldn't have any say in how I sit!
@kmalls, I always try to save money with that check engine light situation by going to an auto parts store. They usually have a device you can use for free that will give you an error code that will let you know what part of the car is causing the problem. Most of the time you Mass Airflow Sensor is dirty, and it is an easily accessible part that is cheap to clean (you can buy spray in the auto parts store). It will ID the problem and you can usually fix it for 10 dollars or less.
I definitely feel like the lowness is to blame with the tailbone. The OB asked me if I was starting to feel winded or heartburn. Nope! This baby is so far low and out, that I haven’t had those issues. Although the side effect of looking like the Grinch isn’t a great trade off.

For the tailbone pain if you haven’t yet tried a chiropractor I can’t rave enough how wonderful it has been! I was in so much pain after two red eye flights on a cheap airline. It was still two weeks until my regular appointment but he snuck me in and the relief was instant! He also adjusts my hips to help with RLP. I go in Friday and I can’t wait because it feels so great!! (Look up someone who practices the Weber technique). I was skeptical at first because I’ve had shady chiros in the past who just want to see you three times a week. This guy is not that way and his adjustments (barring outside factors) last a few weeks or more.
@Mattel hahaha thats how I was with my first. Even at full term, she stayed at my bellybutton and never really went any higher then that. I also have a long torso, so I blame that haha!!
Tailbone pain though. It needs to stop! Lol
@riversdoctor mannn i need to check woth my ob about a referral for one that will take my insurance!
@riversdoctor awe man! Hopefully i'll be able to find one that does! I do have scoliosis, so if need be for medical reasons outside of pregnancy, hopefully that helps haha!
@sjn00 I get reimbursed from my insurance what the insurance company would normally pay so I just end up with the copay. So I pay $40 out of pocket the insurance pays me back 15.
So I just bought my first maternity clothes today at Macy's.. probably not the best spot cost-wise but that was that was in the mall. I thought everything was 30% off but when I got to the register the cashier thought it was only if you used a Macy's card. I resorted to just buying a dress and leggings, but the cashier insisted that I get another pair of leggings or jeans because "you'll be leaking a lot". I just don't even know what she meant- like discharge? other fluids? It was so strange, and I just laughed and bought my one pair of leggings.

Im a third time mom, but I switched OBs and this practice delivers out of a completely different hospital than I had my other two in!
It was informative and made everything more real! Plus, this hospital was voted in the top five in IL so that makes me happy!
