@mamaof5already you’d sure think so. After planning my whole day around it, missing my two year old’s nap for it, and spending money on a birthday gift when I still need tons of baby things and figuring out Christmas gifts I was annoyed to say the least. Thankfully I had enough snacks in my bag to not have to order a $20 pizza .
Puke in the car seat is the worst and so hard to clean since you can only use certain things on them. My son puked in his britax which is a big reason we bought the chicco next fit zip so I could just unzip and thrown it all in wash (except strapes obviously)
We have a clek fllo. We bought the fabric cleaning kit and it works like a dream. Also the fabric is fairly easy to unsnap from the frame to wash. Their Kryon fabric is seriously a dream to clean stains and spill from

Thanks all. Now that I'm not in the middle of the conversation, I can think of appropriate things to say that would have shut her down, but in the moment, I was in such shock. I just wish DH would call her on her BS. I said to him the next day, if I had done that, he would have gotten mad, but his excuse was he holds me to a higher standard. Grrr!
