Re: Low AMH Level

  • @hopeful_mom- YAYYYYY!! I LOVE your update!! I am so happy things are looking good. Sad to hear about the nausea, but I guess its a sign things are really happening! and I'm also happy you only have to wait 11 days for your next u/s! I feel like that should go pretty quick!
I kind of got to pick and didn't feel like torturing myself through the weekend ;) I should be 8w and change...can't for these weeks to fly by!
The nausea is not cute just trying to figure out what works so it doesn't have to bother me all day!

  • @hopeful_mom that is just WONDERFUL news!  @knottie911d6f746a3c0233 I have unfortunately had empty follicles on 2 of my 3 IVF rounds.
I test for a positive the morning after trigger per my RE So I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with that, my RE said  (in my case) she thinks the eggs in those follicles don't mature due to being poor quality.  It's honestly devastating.  To go through the entire cycle praying for and expecting 5 or 6 mature and to get 2 mature and nothing else is insane.  My second round  it was 4 mature and 3 empty.  I'm typing on my phone en route to work but I just wanted to say I'm sorry for what you are going through.   Currently I now have a cyst or what looks like an endometrial cyst on my right ovary so I'm just like taking a step away and going back next week to see if I can still Estrogen prime for my upcoming cycle.

    IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5!    2 5AA 1 6BB  PGS results =  all abnormal :(
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty.  Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled -  looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS

Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!!  1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

    Chemical pregnancy
    FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN

    2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
  • @hopeful_mom- hope you are feeling ok today!!

@hopefuljj- I really really really hope that stupid cyst is gone next week! I HATE cysts and delays :( Thinking of you!! Please keep us posted

AFM- so I had my first monitoring this morning and left a little worried. I did just talk to my clinic and it sounds like my lining is at 5.4mm (but trilinear at least) and estrogen is only 58. They want it to be at 7.0 and estrogen at 150 by this time, so we are adding in vaginal estrace twice per day. They wanted me to come back friday, but with our trip thurs-sun, I can't go until Monday. While I am glad to get away, I am just hoping its ok to wait until Monday for another check. They said we would still have time to make further adjustments if needed on Monday. For the donor, things are looking good! After only 3 nights of stims, she has 6 measurable follies out of 30 follicles! They said they expect more to be measurable on Friday and estrogen is already 700s, so things are looking good. She goes back on Friday, so hoping I have service in the mountains so i can get that update call!

  • @JamieH2000 so glad the donor is responding well. As for your lining, you may be on the lower side. It is ok. I never got to 7 mm. It was 6.something. That was consistent with previous cycles.  Love seeing your journey progress. Will be checking back for updates!

  • @hopeful_mom- while I am a medicated cycle they also trying to keep me in sync for a fresh transfer so my timing can’t really be adjusted. I think worst case if I’m not ready they will just have to freeze the embryos and then thaw a few days later when I am ready. I think ideally they do a fresh transfer just to avoid any more freezing than necessary but I’m sure it would be fine. Sorry you feel sick but I would still switch spots with you ;) it’s gonna be so worth it!

@hopefuljj- you are so sweet! I will make DH on the top of the mountain if I have to do I can hopefully share a good Donor update tomorrow!

@kp214- love hearing from you so thanks for checking in! That makes me feel better about the lining. I’m trying not to worry since I really think they just need to up my meds since my blood estradiol was only 58! That’s like a baseline level so no wonder my lining is thin. I’m kinda surprised it’s even above 5 with that. So hopefully the extra meds will get it going since I haven’t had any lining issues during fresh cycles.

  • Has anyone done a estrogen priming + clomid + gonal f + menopur cycle?  If so, how did it go?  Did it start slow?
  • @knottie- I have not done that, but have heard of it. I don't recall anyone on this board doing it, but I really hope that is the protocol that works for yoU!

@hopeful_mom- How are you feeling lady?!

@hopefuljj- do you go back to see if that cyst is gone this week?!

    @emmasemm- how is china?!

AFM- sorry I haven't been on much, but with the tech issues on the bump and being on vacation from thurs-sun, this is my first chance to share our update. Our vacation in the Smokies was great, but I was really nauseous the whole time- from the higher estrogen and from my husband "spirited" driving on the mountain roads. We heard on Sunday that our Donor had 21 follicles between 10-19mm, so we were super happy about that! This morning I went in for monitoring, and my lining is only 7mm even thought my estrogen is 2400+. Normally we would just delay and let it get thicker, but we heard today donor is triggering tonight for ER on Wed! She has 11 follicles that are 14mm or more. They said there are 12s/13s that could maybe get there too. I am really hoping for at least 15 mature eggs, so hoping a few more get there. I know this sounds a little greedy, but with what we are paying, I am really hoping for 2 children if possible out of this cycle. My RE thinks 7mm or more is fine for transfer, so I will start progesterone on Wed, with transfer on Monday. Its going to be stressful since we won't know how many embryos we have until we go in on Monday. Sorry for the novel!!

  • @JamieH2000 I'm literally sitting here trying not to hurl but am so excited to see ur update!!! So exciting! It's funny listening to a monitoring cycle of a woman of what all of ours should sound like.  It sounds like all is going really well!! I'm surprised they didn't want her to go one more day with meds, sounds like she still has some right on the cusp, how many days did she stem??  I'm with u I'm very hopeful ur take home miracles are in this batch!!! I have a feeling ur lining will be Perfect for transfer im sooo excited for u!!!!

go to the re on Friday....we shall see what he has to say.  Has some pain last night that was alarming but since I still feel so sick I'm gonna assume all is ok!

hope the rest of u ladies r well!!!

  • @hopeful_mom- Thanks! that means a lot you still get on to reply even when you are so sick! Have you tried any meds? I got dramamine for car sickness for our mountain driving, and I accidently got the 'naturals' kind and it was just ginger pills! How exciting for another US on friday!  I'm sure it will look great :) I was also wondering if they couldn't let her go another day, but since the biggest was 19 on sunday, i'm guessing it was over 20mm yesterday. Since she had 21 over 10mm on sunday, I am hoping that by Wed morning that most of those are 15mm+. We will see I guess. Last time, she got 18 eggs, 16 mature, 10 blasts and 7 PGS normal. So if I can repeat that, I will be THRILLED. Still worried about my lining, but my estorgen is so high that hopefully it will continue to grow until I start progesterone tomorrow.

@JamieH2000 awesome update lady!!!!  That sounds absolutely thrilling!  I hope you get 15 mature, I totally hear ya!!!!!   I'm so excited for you I barely have words! Lol!!!
AFM I went back yesterday and the cyst is smaller!! So she said it's not an endometrium which I guess is good? I think I got the original size wrong because now it's down to 1 something and she said it had be 2 something so I'm Estrogen priming and waiting to go in for baseline when AF arrives:).

@Hopeful_mom  I'm so sorry about the nausea!!  That is awful. Have you tried diclegis?  I remember researching it a million years ago when I was preparing for pregnancy.  Silly me.
I am so very excited for your ultrasound! it must be so scary having to worry at every pain and turn.  You must be so stressed.  I wish I could say or so something to alleviate that but I know only a healthy baby in your arms will ease the stress. Sending lots of love and  hoping the nausea lets up soon!
    Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease

DOR - AMH  .27 High FSH (don't even know how high)
    2 iui's to start - BFN

FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol
    Chemical pregnancy
    FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN
Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2????   Miscarriage at 8 weeks.  viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal :(

DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
    1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
    2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
  • @hopefuljj- thank you! Your excitement for me is so kind :) I am so happy to hear the cyst is smaller and you are able to start priming! I really hope this is your cycle!! Please keep us posted!

@emmasemm- china sounds awesome! I think vacations are so important for us during this process. They totally mentally renew me to keep fighting. I hope you come back all relaxed and ready for your next cycle!

  • Ladies- thanks for all your kind words and excitement! I feel blessed and I am hoping for more good news today with the fert report.

@ifyoucandreamit- good to here from you!! Hope things are going good for you too!

@kp214- thanks for the reassurance about the lining, that truly does help me feel better!

@hopefuljj- Plan is to transfer on Monday.. we haven't decied on 1 vs 2. I know 1 is safer, but really really not sure I can handle another failure.

AFM- still waiting on fert report, but I did get monitored again. My lining went up a little, to 7.3mm, but unfortunately they saw some fluid/mucus in my uterus. The Tech said this was common with estrogen and normally goes away when you start progesterone. She said they may have me come in again, or check day of transfer. it sounds like it can be aspirated if its still there on transfer day. Waiting for the nurse to call with more info. Its just always something

  • Well ladies.. its been a rough day, fulls of ups and downs. At my U/S this morning, the lining was 7.3mm, but the tech saw fluid in my uterus. She said that was common and usually goes away. They would likely have me come in or check again on transfer day. Then my RE herself calls at 12pm and says that she isn't liking the fluid, along with the less than optimal lining. She reco'd that we freeze the embryos and try a stimulated FET next month.
Queue: Crying (after I got off the phone) and feeling like life is so unfair and my body hates me and going home from work to cry it out and work on the couch
3pm: IVF lab calls and we had 22 mature and 18 fertilized!
4pm: nurse calls with the plan. Start 10 days of progesterone pills, then get AF, and then start stim meds (follistim) since my lining was excellent during my fresh cycle. We will trigger, and then transfer on day 5. Based on my math, thats right after Thanksgiving.

Its been so many of them! and my RE wants to do a saline sono next week and just terrified she will find something else wrong. I know we need to make sure everything is in good order before transferring, but just feeling pretty down today. I know it will pass and time will continue on, but I NEED this journey to end soon for my sanity...

  • AFM- somehow I missed my clinic's call! It was ringing Unknown for like 1 second and then ended and then I got a VM. But I guess it doesn't matter really if I spoke to them.. all 18 are still dividing (though its only day 2), so that is great news!! They won't call again until Monday or Tues with the frozen report. Excited but anxious.. with my last cycle I had all 6 that fertilized looking great on day 2, but then by day 5 only 2 were left and they were behind. I hear these things about sperm kicking in on day 3, and worry that we have unknown sperm issues. So I am totally hoping that my eggs truly are just shit and that our sperm is just fine

  • AFM, my story seems to be a theme of mixed news always.. So part of me is always so happy and so sad.. and I just end up exhausted. Good news first. WE GOT 12 EMBRYOS frozen!!! that is beyond my prayers. 8 were 1AA (highest quality) day 5 and 3 were 2AA day 6 and 1 2BB day 6. They said they are hard graders and picky about what they freeze, so this is truly an amazing result for us. I feel confident we will be able to have the children we want with this amount.
However, of course there has to be another delay for me. The saline sono today found a polyp. While I am glad we found this before a failed transfer, I can't believe we have more delay. My RE is sympathetic and is able to get me in for hysterscopy in just 2 weeks, and then she says we can start the stimulated FET right after. They will do an endo scratch while in there too, so hopefully with everything cleaned out, implantation won't be a challenge for us. So this puts us with a mid December transfer, assuming no more delays (which probably isn't a safe assumption anymore haha).
