@rainbows2018 - My beta is tomorrow, which is 8dpt5dt. My RE has always done them at that time (then another 9-10 days with an U/S confirmation). If an HPT can - theoretically - pick it up at that time, I'm sure blood tests are even more accurate, even if it seems "early." And I feel ya on that POAS urge. I've never had it before, but after the two failures this year, I'm even more anxious. I have done two and got BFN on both, but it was statistically impossible to get a reading on them anyway. I think I did it just to trick my mind into not obsessing over it. I told DH that I wanted to take one before I go to the RE tomorrow, but he said it would be better/easier for me - mentally and emotionally - to forego it and just wait on the result from the nurse. It's a 5-hour round trip, so if it were negative he said it would be unnecessarily grueling on me ... and if it's positive, it would kind of damper the excitement. So ... I'm going to wait. Impatiently.

For those that got a positive with FET either this cycle or in the past, did you experience any symptoms at all? I am 3dp5dt and nothing yet. I had minor cramps yest but didn’t last too long. Feedback appreciated

@rainbows2018 during my first FET I didn’t have any symptoms until at least 10-11 after 5dtr. And I did get a BFP.

@rainbows2018 I had a bfp on my fresh transfer. The only symptoms I had was the sharp pains in my belly a few days after transfer and then light spotting around day 10

@prudence9-2 I haven't done ERA before, but DH is interested to know the method and machinery used for this. He sent me links to articles he is reading discussing ER Map, I'll attach here if you're interested to see;

Also, he wants to say that there is another way of checking the quality of embryos, better than the naked eye grading and probably more than PGS. Here's the article he asked me to share

We reside here in Japan so my husband is curious about the techniques and methods developing in other places. He was a scientist and used to work for the Japanese National lab and worked on the 'Human Genome Program'. His line of work is different now so when I discuss what women on the IVF boards go through and the tests, he gets so pumped up and interested.

@prudence9-2 DH and I also hope to do PGS but here in Japan, they only allow it after 3 failed IVF. I'm glad to hear your embies are PGS normal. I saw the thread you started about ERA, I'll check it out frequently so I'd know more about that procedure. I remember a lady at the November FET who mentioned she did ERA, I'm waiting for her response

Hi ladies! So today I am 10dp5dt and my beta isn't until Thursday! The wait is killing me, but at the same time I feel like I would rather be in the boat of "ignorance is bliss" than risk testing and have it be negative. Outside of some mild cramping on my left side, some mild boob tenderness, and 1 incident of very very light pink spotting, I don't have any symptoms. I hear it is different for everyone, but I still find myself searching for that common denominator symptom that means you are pregnant. The wait is a killer. How have you ladies pass the time during your TWW?

@tinjp78 - You'll do great! Don't be nervous. Just take your meds and your prenatals and try to enjoy the experience as much as you can. I still can't think of any other way to describe it other than "magical"

@cdavies05 - Those could be symptoms, they could be just your heightened sense of awareness of what is going on or the meds. The only thing I can say is just to stay positive and know that you'll get your answer in a few days. It seems like so far, but it will come and it will be here before you know it

For those - like me - with multiple FET attempts with BFNs ... how many have done PGS? Just wondering. Our doc spoke to it after 2 negatives, and is likely to suggest again. The only positive I can think of is just "knowing" that it is viable and/or the ability to choose a gender. But from what I'm also hearing is that it doesn't necessarily make it more viable. I'm just concerned about the extra thaw/freeze thrown into the cycle (since they're already frozen) and then the biopsy itself. Thankfully, we still have several embies left, but I'm almost more comfortable just letting it ride without knowing, given that extra risk. And there is absolutely NO insurance coverage (thanks, bible belt!) so EVERYTHING is 100% out of pocket (and we're over $40,000 in since the beginning now). Any thoughts?

@mamak225 my Re and I discussed doing PGS testing after my third failed FET but she recommended against it as the research shows thawing, biopsying, refreezing and then thawing again for transfer has shown a decrease in a viable pregnancy and she doesn’t think the odds are worth it. She would only recommend it if I did another retrieval.

@MamaK225 I have had two PGS normal FET fails. In fairness, I likely have uterine issues and that is why we haven’t been successful. There IS a lot of reassurance knowing they’re normal and having the luxury of choosing a sex but the flip side is that you have this belief that you’re going to be 100% successful and I’m proof positive that it is not a guarantee.

I agree on the too-much-added-risk and then the potential added devastation with another failure, knowing it was viable (leaving the "what ifs" to swirl around). There's no way I'd EVER go through the IVF process again, it was absolutely brutal and I wholly admire those of you who have been able to do it more than once. I would just have to find a way to make peace.
