Just a quick check (hormones are making my brain fuzzy this go-round), I believe there are 4 FETs and 2 Betas this week - is that correct? 

I'm scheduled for FET on 10/19 (Thursday).

@coco305 yes I went in for my lining check this AM. The RE said it looked great - I think it measured at 7.9 or something like that. Waiting for the nurse to call me with next steps. GL on your scan for WED - we are almost there!

AFM, i think the Progesterone is getting to me. I’ve been tired and this morning I felt really nauseous. I’m pretty sure it’s the progesterone since I just had my transfer on Friday.

Thanks for all of the prayers everyone. My 2nd beta was down to 0. Not gunna lie, it really sucks, but I'm gunna try and keep my head up and push forward. This was our last FET so it's back to the drawing boards for us. I'll continue to pray for all of you!

Hey, so dumb question... I know all about not reading HPTs after the 3 minutes or whatever the time frame is, but what if you’re only looking like six or seven minutes later and you see a faint second line? Is that an evap line at that point? Asking for a... friend?

also, @hgasic I’m sorry I posted this before noticing your update. It seems callous and rude coming after your sad news. I’m sorry.

@prudence9-2 I’m actually trying to find out at what point the HCG dissipates after the wash I had on Tuesday. I assumed it would be gone by now because I didn’t think it used as many units as the trigger shot (10,000) but it looks like it’s still showing up (but really faint). I know it’s not possible to get a positive this early short of being pregnant with twins - plenty of stories of faint BFPs with multiples - so I assume it’s just my HCG wash. I’m using Amazon cheapie strips!

@prudence9-2 I haven’t seen a change in it, but I’ve only done two so far. I sort of forgot about it until I read about fresh transfer patients doing it and I remembered (how did I forget I did the HCG wash? I was also there for intralipid; it was 6:30 am and I had been up since 4!) so I thought I’d try it out. It’s super faint though so I can only imagine it’s about gone and it’s not some sort of ultra early positive.

@prudence9-2 I think my eyes are just getting burned out staring at white space LOL. Doubt it will get darker any time soon if at all. Seems like such a dumb waste of time but there’s nothing out there about how long it takes the wash to disappear, just the trigger. I have no idea how many units they use for the wash vs. trigger so since I love peeing on anything that changes color, I guess I’ll keep doing it since I have no other hobbies than checking my underwear and toilet paper LOLOL. What have we become???

@sarcasticowl what’s the wash? Is that something they use during the transfer cycle? I did so much research on ER but I feel like I know nothing about the transfer.

:lurking: @sarcasticowl I actually got my positive 3 days after transfer on a home HPT, so you never know... I also did 2 trigger shots. One 7 days before transfer and one the day of. Positives never went away and always stayed the same darkness. Fingers crossed for you. 
I was checking up on you @prudence9-2. Hope you are surviving your TWW.

@Holls214 thanks. I’m doing okay. So far on day 5 after transfer. Going to try and not test in fear of another chemical. 

How are you doing? When is your u/s? How far along are you?

@prudence9-2 the 2ww is beyond brutal... I am horrible when it comes to testing early. Like a crazy woman I swear, so don't be like me haha. I am thinking happy, sticky thoughts for you. U/S is next week on Tuesday, seems like my doctors office takes longer than others.

@rainbows2018 the HCG wash is basically HCG mixed in saline and squirted into the uterus a couple of days before transfer. The theory is that in a normal pregnancy the embryo *may* give off signals to the uterus to begin preparing for its arrival by producing HCG before it actually implants.

From ivfga.com: In a natural pregnancy, beginning as early as the 8-cell embryo stage, the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is secreted. In this early stage, the embryo is actually in the fallopian tube. But the embryo probably has an effect on the reproductive tract, including the endometrium, over the next two days until it migrates to the uterus, where HCG can have a local effect. The HCG signals chemically that an embryo is present and alerts the lining to prepare for implantation.

In IVF however, between day 3 (when the HCG would normally begin to be produced) and the transfer (typically on day 5) the HCG hormone is absent because the embryos are in a dish, not in the fallopian tube triggering HCG production. There is evidence in animals that placing HCG into the endometrium improves the response of the endometrium to the embryo.

@mjbarretto I did one on Sunday and one on Monday - I had completely forgotten it was a thing until I read another thread about someone doing that this weekend.

This morning I didn't see anything so I'm assuming it was just leftover HCG. I had the wash one week ago today, so that makes sense if generally a trigger takes 10 days to get out of your body and that's probably a lot more HCG than the wash (I just read on a medical journal article that they use 500 units, so half the trigger amount) Now I will just sit back and wait until Sunday to test again (beta is Monday and we agreed* that I'll only test for real the day before so I can be prepared).

*Think I'll make it that long? Doubtful.
