@izza2 ewww, I'm sorry! I hope it passed! I've never taken fish oil to know the taste but I heard its not good.
todays random. Tuesdays are suppose to be my lowkey/get shit done work day... I work from home fulltime. mainly cause its the one day DS doesn't have prek (halfdays). so instead of me running him to and from there, then having him here with me in the afternoon (which he eventually naps after a few hours atleast), he would go to a grandma's house all day today. but last minute, grandma couldn't take him and my mom isn't available either. annnnd I woke up with a headache. this should be a lovely day. I know Tylenol is approved. but only thing that ever really helps me is Excedrin so I'm not sure I even want to waste a Tylenol.

I'm not sure if we should start a thread for this so it gets attention but there seems to be a listeria risk with packaged veggies in some stores. Link to the thread from May below. There are links to the articles with detailed store and items in the thread.
@krashke I just saw that too! It’s so scary. Last time I was pregnant there were a million listeria recalls. I have seen hummus, veggies, candy apples....so sad.
@Miz_Liz thankfully I haven't bought anything on that list but what scares me are the foodservice recalls too. You don't know what distributor or supplier the restaurant has gone through. And likely the staff at the restaurant wont know either, maybe the manager.

I lent my entire wardrobe to someone due in February 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant I don’t want her to know I’m pregnant because she has a big mouth, but I want at least my maternity yoga pants back. She said she pulled out a few pieces and is going to bring me the rest back. Praying those are with what she brings back
Re: food cravings... last time I just craved cheeseburgers with tons of ketchup and pickles... maybe because my iron was low. I can't wait to have cravings again because the food just tastes So. Darn. Good. Mac and cheese sounds pretty good though!

Also I just looked at the recall list, and I literally ate the Archer Farms broccoli florets last night. Cooking kills the listeria, right? It was very thoroughly roasted.

@pinottoparenthood I am definitely planning on cloth diapering. I'm a FTM with no experience but I've done a lot of research and am excited to give it my all. We talked about it in a UO thread a few weeks ago and there are several others here who are pro CD

Re:cloth We did last time and will plan to again. I'm going to figure out newborn options too.
@pinottoparenthood Yes, cooking to a certain temp (I think the general rule of thumb is if it's steaming) will kill the listeria. So if you boiled or steamed it and it was steaming, you're good. Again, not positive of the temps or length of time it needs to be cooked, but generally speaking...

So I want to get NIPT done, and my doctor said it wouldn’t be covered by insurance because I’m under 35.
BUT my insurance is blue cross blue shield of Illinois, and Illinois requires it to be covered (they also require infertility treatments to be covered). So without insurance Mat21 would be $449, but it’ll be $160 with insurance bc I have to pay 20% or something. Even though I live in New York. Yay! (ETA: I called Mat21 first to find out both pricing, and then called my insurance to confirm it's covered even though I'm in NY, and it is.)
Just wanted to share as a PSA for anyone who lives in Illinois or has insurance through Illinois. Might cost less than you think!
@doxiemoxie212 have you called your insurance to verify that it will be covered? I am pretty sure that the law in Illinois that requires them to cover it requires you to actually live in Illinois. Even though they’re based out of there you may only be covered by NY law and what your insurance says they will cover. Worth a call to check - I know a lot of people who got stuck with huge bills.
Regarding cloth diapers: It might be a good idea to give cloth diapers it's own thread at some point, (separate from a product spotlight on disposables.) CD tends to be a popular and passionate topic with lots of details to cover. I'm seeing separate CD threads in May and April.
@llamamama14 I think the product spotlight for diapering will be 99% cloth diapering. I'm not sure there's THAT much to say about wipes, disposables, diaper cream, etc. lol
@llamamama14 yeah, I think that'll be totally fine. Would love some suggested prompts re: diapering, btw. I'm not sure the current ones fit as well with diapering as they do with the items we've discussed thus far.
@LaceyBee522 lol that was my second guess (less similarity for you and me, but much more for you and my H) so lol uhhhhhh you might work with my H... eek?
@pinottoparenthood we have a product spotlight each week and diapers is coming up in a few weeks. I'm sure there will be a lot of information in there about CD
Thanks @krashke! It's my third baby so I'm not new to the CD game , but I'n sure I have more to learn and contribute to discussion!
@sabby2 we didn't start CDing with my first until he was 9 months, I didn't start with my second son until he was out of the newborn size and could fit in OS diapers. Toying with the idea of newborn cloth diapering this time, but I'm just not sure if it's woeth buying newborn diapers! Maybe if I went with prefolds and covers. I'm spoiled and used to pockets/AIOs.

@patientlywaiting10 Thanks! I roasted at 400 degrees until it was crispy so I think I'm good. Still scary though! The Chipotle e coli breakout was happening last time I was pregnant and I was so sad but too scared to eat it.
