@bethann1022 I’m so so sorry to hear!! I hope tomorrow’s news has the chance of being different!!
@prudence9-2 yay!! Go home and rest rest and incubate!
AFM Transfer went smoothly! I’ve been on/off napping from th Valium the past 4 hours. Our beta is in 9 days instead of 14! I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t a full two weeks. I’ll probably POAS in 8 days—do y’all think that would be acceptable and not too early??

@tnh0413 glad it all went well. I’m still waiting for the ride home. Been sitting here for 45 and have at least another 15. And all I want is to take a nap.
My beta is in 12 days. Which is good as it’s usually 14...

@bethann1022 I'm so sorry to hear this news. I really really hope that tomorrow would bring you a positive outcome. If you want to vent more, I'm here to listen. We are here for you. (((Hugs)))
Just woke up after sleeping for 2 hours. The Valium wiped me. Which is why it sucked so much that I had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes to the ride back home.

@bethann1022 I am terribly sorry This whole experience can be so awful. I have had some failed transfers as well and while it is nerve wracking, I do believe the best thing to do for yourself is to try and stay positive. Best of luck to you
@bethann1022 I'm so sorry!!! That must be incredibly difficult results to get. Talk with your hubby and figure out your next steps, but don't forget to take time to grieve. This was my last embryo as well and I'm terrified for my beta tomorrow. I keep trying to pretend that I haven't even transferred yet (which may or may not be helpful if I lose this one too) to keep my mind off of the lack of symptoms I have.
Does anyone one else have an allergic reaction to their POI injections? I've got an itchy welt that's at least an inch in diameter on my rear and it's quite literally a pain in the ass. Any advice on how to deal with not being able to scratch your behind in public?

Hi everyone, thank you all so much for your support and heartfelt empathetic responses, it truly means a lot. I posted yesterday when the news was very raw and I was very upset and disappointed. However, after really sitting with it for a few hours, was able to really accept that this cycle was just not meant to be and we are going to plunge forward and try again.
As hard as it is to have these repeated failures, we truly have faith that we will succeed and we are going to just have to pick ourselves up each time and continue to remain optimistic about the future.
Yesterday was a great day to test and I am really relieved about the decision to test yesterday and actually at peace with the results. Of course, my official beta results are currently pending, but I know the chance is very minimal that it would be anything besides a negative and I have actually started to accept it.
I have a follow-up with a new RE in November (had a consult with him in May as we were going to transfer, but did the ERA tests and this FET first). We are actually really excited to get started with him and the new clinic. They are very encouraging and are a larger clinic, take many tough cases and have a very good success rate. The RE also described IF as a "very delicate art form" and himself as loving his role as the "artist." He also said there was a lot of mystery behind failures and he loved the detective work of really getting to the core of the problems. He comes highly recommended from my PCP, my OB/GYN and a few friends so as I said, we are very anxious and excited to get a fresh start.
I really do wish everyone well this cycle, will continue to check in and cheer everyone on, may October still turn out to be a very positive month for success!
@hgasic Believe me, I know exactly how incredibly the wait for beta is, I had the opposite this cycle, so many symptoms that I didn't have in my previous BFN cycles so I was really hopeful for a different outcome. I have heard many stories where women have no symptoms and finally get their BFP. It is just another cruel joke of IF that we all have to take supplemental progesterone so have no idea if the symptoms are actually pregnancy or progesterone, makes it that much more difficult. Good luck tomorrow, I really hope and pray that you have good results this cycle!
So my beta is a 2, my office usually calls between 2-4pm, and they'll send me a message too. Well I was really surprised when they called at noon (I always let it go to VM) and they not only sent me a message but orders. I started to get just a little excited, because orders mean they want me to do something (besides stop meds). Well so I read the orders, my beta is 2, they want me to continue meds and come back tomorrow for recheck, it needs to go to 0 before they'll say it's negative.
I guess the silver lining, is it's higher than my normal 0...but a 2? really?
Oh and the covering doctor sent me a message and said it is just residual from my trigger shot. Uhh this a FET, not a fresh and I did not do a trigger? Oh these people
@bethann1022 - Oh my goodness - the drama! Well, I can only hope that they re-test and find that you jumped up well beyond a 2 And, yeah, it is frustrating when it seems no one is on the same page and/or *we* seem to know more about the process and goings ons than they do!

@bethann1022 After our last FET I asked the nurse what might have gone wrong and she said “you know, sometimes the embryo can look amazing and perfect but it turns out it’s chromosomally abnormal...” and I said “it was PGS tested.” She’s like “oh.” It was like, hi, have we met? Do you even look at my chart? Do you even medicine, bro? LOL. It can be so frustratingly impersonal. Your 2 must be making you nuts but hopefully it was just a late implant-er? Keep us posted for sure!
Thanks @sarcasticowl and @MamaK225 for giving me a good laugh and being supportive. I am not expecting much tomorrow, but seriously, I just don't understand how they can not review charts with some sensitive information such as a beta result for an IVF patient! TW I am guessing, maybe a chemical, a friend stated she saw a line on my test 4dp5dt and actually said she saw a VERY light line on my 9dp5dt, so with a beta of 2 I guess that might make sense since I did not test between 4days and 9 days and it could have gotten darker and then lighter. But if that is the case, I am so glad I didn't test because I would've been so excited to get a positive HPT and this would have been a lot harder.
Good luck tomorrow with your transfer @sarcasticowl!
@bethann1022 on my first FET cycle i used a hpt on days 6-7 and they were positive, even the digital. By day 12 it was negative and on my beta was at a 1 or something. It was a CP i guess. No idea why, but it's very frustrating. I know how crappy you're feeling but keep trying to stay positive
@hgasic did you just start a new vial? I had one vial where I had a bad reaction. The nurse told me to just take benadryl, but when I asked my doctor the next cycle he told me it may have been the additives in that particular vial and if it happens again to just switch vials and I can send in the one I am allergic to in exchange for a new one
@bethann1022 wow I’m so sorry, I can’t imagine how you’re feeling. The beta of 2 is more of a headache I’m sure, sort of being in limbo. Keep us posted. It sounds promising about the new RE you will be seeing! Maybe that is just what you need. A new set of eyes is always a good thing.
AFM: I forgot to add yesterday that my RE said I will remain on estrace, patches AND the PIO for the first trimester (if successful of course). I was expecting the PIO of course but thought I could drop the estrogen pills and patches! Has anyone else had to do this? It’s so much to remember. Reminders on my phone going off al the time lol

@tnh0413 - The standard at my RE is Estrace + PIO + progesterone suppositories until 9-ish weeks (I can't remember exactly when they phase each out, been two years since I made it that far). But, yeah, all the reminders!!

@cdavies05 Hello!!! Welcome! This is really an exciting month for all of us. My tentative date for FET is 10/31 and it would be my first too so I'm not in the position to give advice. Although I'd say do some light stretching and drink lots of water for now. I look forward to getting to know you more!
Thanks all I'm positive ... I also got a bit of pinkish spotting ta few days now just a bit so I guest it's the implantation effect.. I did an apt digital and a big fat pregnant last night ... my doctor will have me do a beta blood Monday instead of waiting till Thirsday my original. Date ... feeling good about twins ...
Hi guys if this is helpful ... I keep myself positive and help myself get through this by understanding that one of the main cause of loss preg is embryo quality ... do al you can on your part, eat heathy .. I never ... ans do what make you relax ... for me I test daily and it helped me relax
AFM, I had my last PIO shot last night. I started with vaginal suppositories this morning. Still on vivelle patches and aspirin. Transfer is set for tomorrow morning. I’m so excited but yet nervous. I hope you are all doin well.
@mjbarretto good luck tomorrow!!! What is the aspirin for? Other than my sore throat from the smoke (ordered a mask today) I’m doing ok.

@prudence9-2 I think the low dose aspirin helps with blood flow to implantation site. I went to a few Walgreens around my area and they were all out of masks.
Hello I read an article where it indicate HCG begins once implantation begins ... that explains why some persons with multiple or single get a positive the first five days ...
@mjbarretto yeah I know. That’s why I ordered a mask on amazon. It will get here on Sat. But I think it’s going to be bad air quality for a while.
For how long will you take the aspirin?

@Crystal321 I started to get itchy 3/4 of the way through my 1st vial and then got the full blown welt after a couple of injections from the 2nd vial. I guess so could ask them tomorrow after they call with my beta results and see what they want me to do. I just didn't know if it was a normal reaction since I didn't react that way the other 2 times. Strange.
@cdavies05 welcome! I know it's not easy at all, but my best advice is to try and keep your mind off of things. Stay FAR, FAR away from google and webMd. Searching your every symptom on google will just give you anxiety. I know that personally, I feel less stressed and anxious if I keep myself busy. My husband and I will plan extra outings in the days before and the 2ww after just so we aren't sitting on the couch going crazy! Have you started any of your meds yet?
@prudence9-2 my RE has me on aspirin because when they did my initial blood work they found that I had high levels of thyroid antibodies which causes your blood to coagulate more easily. The aspirin is supposed to prevent clotting at the implantation site. This time around they did more blood work and my antibodies were well over 1300 (>60 is normal) so I'm on Lovenox injections (a blood thinner) as well. They told me I will be on both for nearly the entire pregnancy. I would ask your RE about taking the baby aspirin though. You never know if it could hurt if you don't have anything wrong to be fixing... praying for continued good results for you!!!
@prudence9-2 totally ignore those last couple sentences I wrote. I read your comment wrong earlier and was thinking that you were trying to order aspirin instead of the mask for the smoke. I figured it out after the fact. Lol. Oops! Sorry!
@tinjp78 Thanks for the warm welcome and advice! I've been trying yoga recently (doubling as stress reliever and stretching). Need to work on that water though! That is so exciting that your tentative transfer date is coming up on the 31st! If you'd like, I can let you know what I experience/learn with FET since mine is a couple weeks before yours. It's nice to have met someone who is going through FET the first time too!

Does anyone one else have an allergic reaction to their POI injections? I've got an itchy welt that's at least an inch in diameter on my rear and it's quite literally a pain in the ass. Any advice on how to deal with not being able to scratch your behind in public?

I guess the silver lining, is it's higher than my normal 0...but a 2? really?
Oh and the covering doctor sent me a message and said it is just residual from my trigger shot. Uhh this a FET, not a fresh and I did not do a trigger? Oh these people

I am guessing, maybe a chemical, a friend stated she saw a line on my test 4dp5dt and actually said she saw a VERY light line on my 9dp5dt, so with a beta of 2 I guess that might make sense since I did not test between 4days and 9 days and it could have gotten darker and then lighter. But if that is the case, I am so glad I didn't test because I would've been so excited to get a positive HPT and this would have been a lot harder.
Good luck tomorrow with your transfer @sarcasticowl!
