Just need to vent: I just found out that they're throwing a baby shower next week for a woman on my floor and it's in the conference room in my office suite (which means I need to walk through it to get to my office and there's no tactful way I can sit in my office with the door closed.) It's at 12:30, so I'm thinking I'll just leave for lunch at 12 and maybe make it extra long. I've been avoiding this woman like the plague because just looking at her upsets me ever since our fresh transfer failed in August. OF COURSE they're doing this in my office suite.

My ride for tomorrow’s procedure is sick with sore throat and high fever. And since this morning I’ve been having sore throat which I thought (and still hope) is from the smoke in SF from the Napa wildefires!! I can’t be sick right now!!!

@prudence9-2 I hope you're not getting sick! I lived in Wyoming when there was a wildfire right on the edge of town and I definitely got a sore throat and stuffy nose from the smoke. Hoping that's the cause!

Hi I just did my transfer 10/6 and I used a dollar tree test this evening 4d post transfer and got a very very faint line. It's expected since it's so early.
@AspiringMom wow congrats! 4dpt is super early to see a line!!! Did you trigger before your FET?

@tinip78 it was a FET cycle only del estrogen and progesterone. I did some research and used the best folic acid and pre-natal to increase cell growth health.
Since it was a dollar store test and it is only $1, I bought 10 to test everyday to track the HCG increase and detection on the dollar tree test. I am in the 2ww period and it is a difficult time. I had no spotting or bleeding. I did had slight cramping on and off. Sunday in church my cramping was a bit intense, I believe that it was implantation. I transferred two embryos and I'm being positive that both implanted.

@Bababatty - You have every right to feel this way and do not force the interaction if you know it is upsetting. I had several of the same incidences when I was going through the beginning phases of IVF and even then, it took me a while to be ok. With the 2 failed FETs I've had this summer, I'm starting to feel the same way, but am FX about my next FET next week. Go enjoy a prolonged lunch or listen to some good music in your office, with the door shut. Have a great day

AFM, beta is tomorrow and still have not POAS since 4dp5dt, which was negative of course and way too early. Keeping fingers crossed, I feel as if I'm on such an emotional roller coaster this cycle. One minute I'm feeling symptoms (nausea, cramping, stomach issues etc) and convinced it's worked and then the next I'm convinced the symptoms are progesterone related and it has failed again. It's definitely hard after 3 unsuccessful transfers to try and stay positive, but some days and hours are easier than others for sure. There are moments when I find myself daydreaming about the positive outcome, and imagining the next few days, weeks and hopefully months of excitement (of course some expected fear mixed in too). But then there are moments when I try to be realistic and start mentally preparing myself for next steps since this was our last frozen embryo. I feel like I need to be ready for whatever the outcome as I like to have a plan for moving forward and this is definitely the most uncertain one we have had yet (as we will be changing RE's and starting from scratch it seems, although I guess we still have the ERA results and a lot of other learned information from past cycles.).
Alright, time to start thinking positively again and stop worrying about the "what ifs." I definitely like to feel in control and this journey requires so many feelings associated with loss of control, and I need to just really start trusting in the process and remain optimistic that we will all be successful and overcome these struggles, and hopefully this will be the cycle for us!
@20T how are you doing? Your beta is in 2 days right? how have you been feeling? have you tested yet?
@bethann1022 try to be positive! I hope you’ll get positive beta tomorrow. But I totally get you starting to think about the what ifs. I’m the same way!
AFM... it’s transfer day. Just did my first neupogen injection. As I was slowly injecting it I was thinking how I hope I’m not poisoning myself with it. I hope this was the missing ingredient from my other two FETs.

Thanks everyone for the support, I wish I had better news to start this month off right. But I all of a sudden had an intense urge to test, knowing its 9dp5dt, and I've had so many symptoms, I was just starting to get too optimistic, it was scaring me so I tested and got a BFN, stark white.
This is my 4th failed FET, and I am really truly devastated. It's hard to remain hopeful when you have never seen a positive. I was so hopeful after the ERA test and thought maybe this would finally be it.
I know eventually I'll be able to move on and hopefully move forward, but it's just so incredibly tough to have failure after failure. I need to tell myself, this just wasn't the right embryo, and we need to keep searching for the right one for us.
I must admit, I am a little disappointed in myself for testing early, it's going to make the next 20 hours or so that much more difficult (having to do my last PIO and go for beta in the morning). But at least I can start the healing process instead of continuing to build excitement and then getting knocked down even harder tomorrow.

@bethann1022 I am so sorry. We've only had one failure so far so I know nothing of what you're going through, but with my uterine issues we don't have a lot of hope that we will succeed. I do know how devastating that stark white space is, though, and I truly hope you have a different result at your beta. I hear stories of women who tested the morning of their beta, got a BFN and then got a positive beta so it's totally possible but I am not in the business of blowing rainbows up anyone's butt when it seems as though the writing is on the wall. Just know that we're all here for you and any time you want to vent or scream or cry to us, we're here to listen. I hope you take the time to really care for yourself, allow yourself to process this, and come out of it stronger. All best.

@Bababatty - You have every right to feel this way and do not force the interaction if you know it is upsetting. I had several of the same incidences when I was going through the beginning phases of IVF and even then, it took me a while to be ok. With the 2 failed FETs I've had this summer, I'm starting to feel the same way, but am FX about my next FET next week. AFM, beta is tomorrow and still have not POAS since 4dp5dt, which was negative of course and way too early. Keeping fingers crossed, I feel as if I'm on such an emotional roller coaster this cycle. One minute I'm feeling symptoms (nausea, cramping, stomach issues etc) and convinced it's worked and then the next I'm convinced the symptoms are progesterone related and it has failed again. It's definitely hard after 3 unsuccessful transfers to try and stay positive, but some days and hours are easier than others for sure. There are moments when I find myself daydreaming about the positive outcome, and imagining the next few days, weeks and hopefully months of excitement (of course some expected fear mixed in too). But then there are moments when I try to be realistic and start mentally preparing myself for next steps since this was our last frozen embryo. I feel like I need to be ready for whatever the outcome as I like to have a plan for moving forward and this is definitely the most uncertain one we have had yet (as we will be changing RE's and starting from scratch it seems, although I guess we still have the ERA results and a lot of other learned information from past cycles.).
@20T how are you doing? Your beta is in 2 days right? how have you been feeling? have you tested yet?
@bethann1022 try to be positive! I hope you’ll get positive beta tomorrow. But I totally get you starting to think about the what ifs. I’m the same way!
AFM... it’s transfer day. Just did my first neupogen injection. As I was slowly injecting it I was thinking how I hope I’m not poisoning myself with it. I hope this was the missing ingredient from my other two FETs.

This is my 4th failed FET, and I am really truly devastated. It's hard to remain hopeful when you have never seen a positive. I was so hopeful after the ERA test and thought maybe this would finally be it.
I know eventually I'll be able to move on and hopefully move forward, but it's just so incredibly tough to have failure after failure. I need to tell myself, this just wasn't the right embryo, and we need to keep searching for the right one for us.
I must admit, I am a little disappointed in myself for testing early, it's going to make the next 20 hours or so that much more difficult (having to do my last PIO and go for beta in the morning). But at least I can start the healing process instead of continuing to build excitement and then getting knocked down even harder tomorrow.
