I hate that IF plays with our head so much and my previous MC isn't helping matters!! I keep trying not to think about it but it's hard and it was first at 10wks, I'm only 1/2 WAY there.
That US is the most beautiful thing as u see Lil wiggling toes it's just amazing!!! I'll be so happy to get to see that on the screen again!!
interesting that ur bundle included the US like that. The visits are separate and r more a pay as u go. At this point we have spent so much being OOP you don't even think of these expenses. Have you been doing acupuncture? I feel like I'm trying to get in a session a week but it's more like a week and a half till I get there.
Im already heavy enough and shouldn't be eating sweets, but as much as I love chocolate my acupuncturist made a point of telling me no sweets no cookies so I'm trying to stick to it...I eat chips instead
MS started at 6w exactly for me last time and it was AWFUL so it'll be interesting to see if it'll start back up again. Sounds like ur so far ok in that dept?
i need this US to happen already!! I think I need to ask to come in more like once a week or at least every other week.
i think and hope I will get a Doppler down the road, maybe that will help relax me!!!

@Hopeful_mom 6+4, that's great to hear! So that will put your first u/s closer to 8w.
I had my MC two years ago right before 7w. So I know what you mean about being so nervous during the 1st trimester. At the time though we were just starting TTC and I didn't see an RE or OB to get an u/s. Sigh. Having had a MC really takes the joy out of pregnancy. I'm also too scared to announce to family until 14w or maybe even longer.
It was really tough to just plunk down a gigantic five figure payment like that upfront. I still think it's money well spent. I would've regretted not trying IVF otherwise. I have heard of other people who have a pay for each visit set up. It might be that you have insurance coverage for some of it?
I haven't done any acupuncture. I have seriously considered it though, before IVF. I was willing to try or eat anything. Literally.
Not sure what MS stands for... but in terms of symptoms, I haven't had really any symptoms. No nausea. I feel like I'm also lucky in that sense. I had a coworker who was constantly vomiting in the work bathroom throughout her entire pregnancy. It was difficult for her.
I tinkered with the thought of getting a doppler. My husband thinks I will go crazy with it! He's probably right.

Its interesting about the doppler. I could see how it could make you feel calm to have it, but i would worry what if i can't find the heartbeat, and then i would freak out more. Idk. It's obviously a very personal decision. I can imagine that previous loss would really mess with your head. But i think you have to focus on the idea that there's nothing you can do. So you just have to live each day believing that you will take a baby home in about 9 months.

I bled through a lot of my last pregnancy and i think a lot about how i had an inkling something was wrong but the doctors kept telling me i was fine. But in the end it doesn't matter right? Like would it have been better to be more worried? Like if they had told me it was a possibility? I don't think so. I lived those 22 weeks assuming everything was probably fine. I'm really not trying to be negative and maybe it's coming out that way. I guess I'm just saying you have to take it one day at time and believe. Bc worrying doesn't help. Easier said than done though, of course.

On an unrelated note, DH is learning the clarinet and is wokring on these very high pitched scales. Its intense to listen to! Oy.

@hopeful_mom I know it's impossible to convince yourself not to worry, I just say find moments when you are hopeful and happy. Then with each good appointment those times when you are anxious can reduce and the times you are hopeful can grow. Once you've had infertility, you can't just be a happy naive momma to be, but you can get less all out scared over time. I can't wait for your first us!!!!

@gfgrump just hold on a little longer.... sometimes the nighttime when you are alone with your thoughts is the worst @BusinessWife you don't need the full day, but honestly it's nice if you can get it. They say laughter on day of transfer raised your chances of implantation. I made sure my DH came and told his corny jokes during transfer then I went home, ate a huge fatty meal, ate my pineapple core, and watched silly happy comedies all the rest of the day on the couch while moving around as much as I wanted to (for blood flow). oh! I just re read your post.... you will only work that morning... that should be ok (but if you can get the day, it's nice to do something calming like meditation, acupuncture or whatever chills you out)
@gfgrump I will totally freak out if I couldn't find a heartbeat with a doppler! It's in my nature to freak out now. You are totally right that there is nothing we can do. So much of this process is out of our hands. All I can do is wait and hope.
@dragonette505 It's kind of ridiculous how much our IVF+1 transfer cost us to be honest (cough $13k). I didn't know when my next FET will be (next year at the earliest if all goes well) so I asked them if I can just use what I already paid in that $13k for monitoring this time around and they said that's fine. I'm sure when my FET comes around, I'll have to pay that difference, but whatever, I'll think about when that time comes...

@Hopeful_mom - I think I'm just going to be on estrogen and progesterone for the FET. Seems so much less involved than leading up to the ER! All is well with me, I'm just waiting on CD1.
@gfgrump - you're SO SO close to Beta! Hang in there - only two days left, right? This is the most stressful part!

I think we have all been at that point that if they told us to stand on our heads to get that BFP we would!

funkykey I'm sorry if I missed an earlier post but your RE said all is clear and you are ready to go now? It does seem like FET prep is easier BUT for me it wasn't as I would forget to take my pills on time all the time! Its like the less I had to do the worse off I am...go figure.
gfgrump I honestly tell everyone that advice all the time. I thought the worst would happen and after 10wks and a perfect US it did. I tell everyone enjoy every moment...I need to take my own advice I know thanks!! I think its also so hard to trust your RE and drs in general is so hard!! Have you had any morning sickness lately? I have read through my Ovia pregnancy app that it should ramp up by 7w or so.
Yes I definitely want to know the gender! I think it's typically revealed around 20w but I have heard of people getting it done sooner through NIPT at around 13w or so. I don't know when or how I should go about finding out. Speaking of pre natal testings my NT scan will be coming up soon. I anticipate next week or so. Are you anxious about the gender?

@Hopeful_mom I'm feeling ok but my 2nd AF after ER is 4days late now. Possibilities are, my body is reacting to the meds I took last Aug for ER .... OR the happiest possible reason for a delayed AF. I can't help feeling hopeful. Anyway, dr told me to call her when af doesn't come until 10/9. I tested with my cheapie HPT yesterday and it was a bfn, but I think I saw/imagined a shadow. Anyway, I tested my LH using an OPK and there was a faint line.
Im not in panic, just enjoying this feeling of having a delayed AF, I almost never have this experience coz AF comes on time all the time. What I'm anxious about is my 2 major papers for grad school due this Friday. What to do what to do....

@dragonette505 Interesting! I had heard of people doing that, but I wasn't sure... So far all I have heard about is Estrace and PIO. But I can probably call the pharmacy and order my meds now and find out pretty quick, bc she mentioned she would be sending it over...
@BusinessWife If I don't end up transferring this upcoming cycle I have no idea how my new clinic does FET's... I thought it was so weird I was triggering, but I was like whatevz... I know some places even do HCG uterine washes and injections in the lining, so maybe the extra HCG in the system is seen as a good idea? Who knows...

@helloworld9 I think some places do bcp's before transfer is to be able to regulate the whole system. It's pretty normal, but more places are allowing women to base their fet off their natural cycle too.

So when he got into the room I already put my name in the machine and he's like we're not doing a scan today....and I was like maybe we could get a sneak peak, make sure everything in the right spot!! So on the DL he did a scan
Pnut thank g-d is in the right spot poo poo!!! Saw a quick flicker for the heartbeat too!
U really could barely see anything. And the pic he gave me looks blank. Talk about a Lil chocolate chip!!! Thrilled next week is the appt to do this and I will get another peak and the actual due date with all that good stuff. Even though my APP tells me June 6th is DDay

Wonderful news! That's so lovely your RE was able to sneak a peak for you. And with a heartbeat that's really great news! It means it's alive and staying in. I'm only a month ahead of you. My clinic puts my EDD at May 4. Looks like we're gonna be sharing this journey for a while!!

interesting that ur bundle included the US like that. The visits are separate and r more a pay as u go. At this point we have spent so much being OOP you don't even think of these expenses. Have you been doing acupuncture? I feel like I'm trying to get in a session a week but it's more like a week and a half till I get there.
Im already heavy enough and shouldn't be eating sweets, but as much as I love chocolate my acupuncturist made a point of telling me no sweets no cookies so I'm trying to stick to it...I eat chips instead
MS started at 6w exactly for me last time and it was AWFUL so it'll be interesting to see if it'll start back up again. Sounds like ur so far ok in that dept?
i need this US to happen already!! I think I need to ask to come in more like once a week or at least every other week.

It was really tough to just plunk down a gigantic five figure payment like that upfront. I still think it's money well spent. I would've regretted not trying IVF otherwise. I have heard of other people who have a pay for each visit set up. It might be that you have insurance coverage for some of it?
I haven't done any acupuncture. I have seriously considered it though, before IVF. I was willing to try or eat anything. Literally.
Not sure what MS stands for... but in terms of symptoms, I haven't had really any symptoms. No nausea. I feel like I'm also lucky in that sense. I had a coworker who was constantly vomiting in the work bathroom throughout her entire pregnancy. It was difficult for her.
I tinkered with the thought of getting a doppler. My husband thinks I will go crazy with it! He's probably right.

I can imagine that previous loss would really mess with your head. But i think you have to focus on the idea that there's nothing you can do. So you just have to live each day believing that you will take a baby home in about 9 months.

I bled through a lot of my last pregnancy and i think a lot about how i had an inkling something was wrong but the doctors kept telling me i was fine. But in the end it doesn't matter right? Like would it have been better to be more worried? Like if they had told me it was a possibility? I don't think so. I lived those 22 weeks assuming everything was probably fine. I'm really not trying to be negative and maybe it's coming out that way. I guess I'm just saying you have to take it one day at time and believe. Bc worrying doesn't help. Easier said than done though, of course.

On an unrelated note, DH is learning the clarinet and is wokring on these very high pitched scales. Its intense to listen to! Oy.

They say laughter on day of transfer raised your chances of implantation. I made sure my DH came and told his corny jokes during transfer then I went home, ate a huge fatty meal, ate my pineapple core, and watched silly happy comedies all the rest of the day on the couch while moving around as much as I wanted to (for blood flow).
oh! I just re read your post.... you will only work that morning... that should be ok (but if you can get the day, it's nice to do something calming like meditation, acupuncture or whatever chills you out)
@dragonette505 It's kind of ridiculous how much our IVF+1 transfer cost us to be honest (cough $13k). I didn't know when my next FET will be (next year at the earliest if all goes well) so I asked them if I can just use what I already paid in that $13k for monitoring this time around and they said that's fine. I'm sure when my FET comes around, I'll have to pay that difference, but whatever, I'll think about when that time comes...

Yes I definitely want to know the gender! I think it's typically revealed around 20w but I have heard of people getting it done sooner through NIPT at around 13w or so. I don't know when or how I should go about finding out. Speaking of pre natal testings my NT scan will be coming up soon. I anticipate next week or so. Are you anxious about the gender?
