@d_marie_23 re:cloth diapers. I tried many systems over the total of 5 years we used cloth ... And my personal favorite was always flat diapers with boingo clips and I would use an adjustable PUL cover with gusseted sides whenever we left the house. I bought mine on ebay for around $3 a cover and the flats came in lots of a dozen for around $10.

  • Thanks to to the story on today’s app about makeup, I’m curious on how to take off my acrylic nails that I had done prior to finding out.  I don’t want to go to the salon because they will just soak them in acetone.  Am I just Uber overreacting?
  • @meeshieb87 I wouldn’t stress about a one time use to remove them.  Lots of people still get their nails done regularly while pregnant (and use acetone remover).
  • @missylaneous419 I am rh- . with DS I had spotting at 6 weeks and about 12ish weeks. I got the rhogam shot at 6 weeks and every 12-q5 weeks after (cant remember exactly) and one after delivery. ... 4 in all (3 pg, 1 after)
With this pregnancy I spotted before knowing. So as soon as I got BFP, I saw my Dr who sent me to hospital for shot (she doesnt do them in office).
They are not a big deal. I was told with no spotting you get one about 20 weeks and one after delivery. If you spot (which can be totally normal) you need one right away.
I did forget how much they hurt though :(

@meagster13 @missylaneous419 Ask them to numb you next time! I’ve had a lot of them (I’m on my 5th pregnancy although I only have two lo’s) and just this last loss she ask if I wanted numbed and I said YES because they always KILL. She sprayed a numbing spray and I legitimately did not feel a thing!! Mad about all my past unnecessary rhogam suffering.
  • @meagster13 @tammy574 thank you for the tips, ladies! I will be sure to ask for spray. When I received the shot last time the entire world was spinning while I was in the hospital bed and I was begging for anti-nausea. I don't even remember it. All I had was a card for my wallet with the date and ER doctor's signature on it. Here's hoping I won't need one for a while!

@missylaneous419  I read an article yesterday about how some women have what was called an du factor or something?  Let me find the article. It was very interesting.

UPDATE: Found it!! It's kind of  toward the bottom of this article https://www.gynob.com/rh.htm

@PatientlyWaiting10 I have a Toyota Highlander and I couldn't be happier with it! You can get the middle row as a bench or 2 captains chairs so there's a passthrough.

@d_marie_23  We're big BumGenius fans. The NB ones weren't very absorbent (but they may have changed them since 2014), but I love the Freetimes. For the NB phase, prefolds and covers worked the best for us.
  • @sabby2 DD is April 2016. We've cloth diapered since DD was a newborn. I bought a bunch of different types and DD is super sensitive so I can't even use any of the BG or pockets that aren't cotton. we mainly use flats plus covers but my mom bought these rouched? inserts that we lay in the pockets and use them as covers. For NB we used mainly flats and covers. we use fitters plus a cover at night. Rumparooz are by far my favorite cover.

  • Lots of July 2016 babes...Mine just got over a super clingy/sleep regression phase.  I blame a lot of it on molars.
Were you on the July 2016 boards too? Who else?!?

  • Re: cloth diapers. I had a bunch of differnt "systems" that I liked at different stages or for different circumstances. I wouldn't invest in one system but rather get a mix. For NB, I liked little joeys best. I was not a fan of the BG newborns. Flats and covers were my favorite for the first year then I fell in love with Best Bottom & Buttons diapers
DD is 3 and a new little one on the way!

  • @chocomom2 Ooooo BBBs? I need to know more!! Especially if you were like me and loved the flats with a cover.  What was it that you loved about them? I could not stand BG's at all nor pocket diapers of any kind. I did find an All in 2 I liked sort of...but just kept coming back to the flats (baby safety pins or boingos) and a gusseted cover.

  • Natinat6   and @sunshineandwhiskey - I wasn't on the board while I was preggo- just lurked but I'm on almost every day now.  I started participating when I went back to work after maternity leave
  • @DashainaBest Bottom and Buttons both have similar designs and the inserts work in both types of covers. Plus the prints are fucking adorable. They are just button inserts essentially - AI2s with gusseted covers.  I stopped loving flats when she became too squirmy to hold down and get the right fit.
I never used boingos or safety pins. Way too hard for me haha.
DD is 3 and a new little one on the way!
